The essence of 'Pure Michigan', this two story townhouse end unit that is located steps away from the sandy white beaches of Lake Michigan, not only offers incredible views of America's Most Beautiful Place, The Sleeping Bear Dunes, but the serenity of the Crystal River as well as the quaintness of the town of Glen Arbor. Located in the best part of The Homestead in the Sandpiper complex, this condominium is ideal for family getaways, because it sleeps up to eight people (master bedroom-queen bed with bathroom on first floor, 2nd master on second floor and third bedroom with a bunk bed & trundle bed). We have added central air conditioning as well for those hot months in the summer, so everyone can enjoy their stay.
Glen Arbor, The Homestead and the other neighboring towns offer a variety of activities both in and out of the water. Not to mention the various restaurants are some of the finest to dine at in all of Michigan.

We are residents of Ann Arbor.
My family has been coming to this location since my daughter was a baby. That has been about thirty years. We love this particular area of Michigan. There are wonderful restaurants in and around Glen Arbor. Make sure you check out Funistrata! There is great shopping in all of the small towns and Traverse City. And of course there are so many activities from horse back riding to tubing down the Crystal River. It has been wonderful for our entire family!
We love the convenience of it being an easy drive from the Detroit Suburbs as well as other major cities like Chicago.
We hope our renters enjoy our condo and Glen Arbor as much as we do.
This unit is literally steps from the water. The beaches are always clean and semi-private. It is wonderful waking up to the sounds of the waves.
We picked this particular area and unit in the Homestead because it is more private, and ideal for extended families especially older relatives to stay in because it is on the first floor.
There are beautiful paths to explore around the condo. It is a very easy walk to town. Great for grabbing coffee and breakfast in the morning.
We enjoyed are stay immensely . Beautiful place to stay. Great location. We would definitely stay there again
We had a very nice time staying in this condo. The location is perfect - less than 100ft to the beach and walking distance to Glen Arbor. The unit was very clean and well stocked. We had a great stay and will definitely be coming back in the future. The owners are terrific and clearly want their guests (renters) to have a good experience. I would recommend with no qualifications.
Our stay at this property was wonderful. We had two families with children from ages 3-19 and the accomodations and location was great for all ages. The property was very clean and had all of the supplies we needed. I was very hapy with how close the beach was to the condo. It was very relaxing and not crowded. It is so easy to get to the bike trails, dunes, and shops. This may be the most beautiful are of the country I have seen so far!
We stayed here in July of this year (with 2 little ones) and the setting was really breathtaking. The condo was clean and the owners were welcoming, helpful and responsive. Beach was a few steps away from condo. In mornings we were greeted by deer right outside door. Because water was a little cold this summer, we took advantage of all of the wonderful sights and things to do within 15 minutes of Glen Arbor - wineries, the Dunes, Leland fishing village, the Manitou Islands... Truly a great family vacation. Will definitely come back.
This was my second year at Ariel's condo. It is perfect. Very well maintained and has all the supplies (kitchen supplies, toiletries, fans if we do not want to use the ac, lawn chairs and plenty of sand toys) we need.
This part of the homestead is my favorite, it is not in the main entrance (this part is closer to town) and the beach is much better here.
Glen Arbor is a special place and this condo makes a good home base for all the activities that we like to do (empire bluffs, empire beach, Cherry Republic, the bike trail, bonfire on the beach, swimming in the lake, good harbor bay, wading in the river, climbing the sand dunes, etc.)
Beautiful, well maintained condo. Quiet, clean and well suited to our family of six from ages 5 to 67. (The photos are accurate. Owners are great.) We had all the amenities of home including laundry, family board games, child's beach toys and wifi. The full kitchen is well supplied with cookware, small appliances and a dishwasher which allowed us to enjoy breakfast and lunch in the unit and dinner in Glen Arbor. Ceiling fans and the new central air conditioning kept us comfortable. And then there's the beach! Just a few steps from the back deck to Lake Michigan with it's clean sand beach and gorgeous sunsets. Plenty of things to do in the Leelanau peninsula. Our favorites are dune climbing, wine tasting, shopping at Becky Thatcher's and Ruth Conklin's and ice cream at the Pine Cone. This is our second visit to this condo and we'll be renting again. Note: this is a two story unit with two bedrooms and one bath on the second floor and one bedroom and 1 1/2 baths on the main floor. There are two steps down to the living room. Good for us "older folks" but not totally handicap accessible.
