We are a busy family that would love to spend more time at our cabin, but the key word 'busy' is the problem. Between school, work, sports and extracurricular activities we don’t get out as much as we would like so we offer our ‘family time’ cabin to you so you too can find the relaxation and fun we so enjoy. Our favorite things to do while at the cabin are playing at the beach, going on nature walks, trail rides and golfing in the summer while the winter is full of skiing, snowmobiling, skating on the lake and ice fishing.
Caylie purchased this house in 2011
We built this home in 2011 because we wanted a place to escape and relax to with our family and friends. We were always coming out to Invermere to golf, ski and play so we decided to build our own cabin to enjoy.
We built in the Cottages of Copper Point to be in the middle of the action, and still have a private, secluded setting. We are between Radium and Fairmont and right outside Invermere and Windermere so you are able to get anywhere quickly - there are only 2 other homes within shouting distance, and we often see wildlife strolling through our yard.
I organized my husband's 40th birthday party here, and it was the perfect location to hold the event with friends who gathered from all over.
Fantastic stay at a very comfortable, clean and well equipped house. The owner was great to deal with with constant, clear communication.
We loved our time here.
We spent Christmas 2015 at this property. Our family of five came from Vancouver and met up with my sister and brother-in-law from Calgary. It was a magical place to spend Christmas! The tree was up when we arrived and the woodburning fireplace was just waiting to be lit. The house was really well equipped. We cooked a full Christmas dinner and had everything dish and utensil needed--very well stocked kitchen. The space worked really well for the 7 of us. Lots of space for everyone and our boys loved playing mini hockey in the unfinished basement. The location is great--close to Invermere yet also felt quite private and secluded. We skied at Panorama and played ice hockey on the frozen lake on Christmas day--every kid from the "wet coast" Canadian dream! The owners were fabulous to deal with. Prompt responses and everything was so easy. We will be back!
We recently stayed 5 nights at the house for our annual golf trip. Overall experience was excellent, house was clean, had everything we needed, great place to return to after a long day in the sun. We will be booking our trip next year, and the years to come. Thanks Caylie!
My siblings and our spouses traveling from Vancouver, Edm and Toronto, together with my father met in Invermere for a family get together and golf vacation; we were all very pleased with this property. The home was very clean with all the amenities needed for an enjoyable trip including a large deck with a relatively new BBQ. The open concept kitchen, dining and family rooms worked well for the 8 of us. The location was perfect for our needs as it was very central to the 6 golf courses we played, the longest commute approx 15 minutes to Radium (to the north) and Fairmont (to the south). Some of my siblings even walked to Sobeys and the Kicking Horse Coffee shop approx 2 miles away.
The homeowner was very responsive, trustworthy, flexible and professional. My experience with her was the complete opposite to my first VRBO rental of an Arizona property where it took 3 months to recover my damage deposit, compared to 2 days for this property owner.
I have no hesitation in recommending this property to renters of any age and with any group size that are comfortable with sharing 2 1/2 bathrooms, which was no problem for the 8 of us.
A few tips - try Strands restaurant, it is pricey but weekdays before 6pm they have a $20 dinner special (pork snitzel good). Also the restaurant at Radium Resort course was decent for dinner. Finally for golfers, consider the Rise and Shine deal weekdays at Fairmont Mountainside and Riverside, < 8am and incl cart and $10 food voucher.
I would definitely recommend this rental if you were going to Invermere. Only a half hour drive to Panorama and a short drive to the hot springs. The renters are very attentive and easy to co-ordinate with. We had three couples staying in the house and there was more than enough room. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for cooking. I hope to stay here again!
