Hello Travelers and Explorers!
This spacious, Spanish style three-bedroom apartment features gorgeous tile floors, a large living and dining area, and a decorative, open kitchen. The tile is originally from the 50s and as been pristinely maintained, adding color and character to every room. Relax on the large, brightly colored couches while watching a movie on the big screen LCD. The living room and dining area lead out into the patio, where you can sit and enjoy the southern California sun.
The kitchen is stocked with basic cooking essentials like dishes, pots, pans and appliances including a coffee machine, microwave and refrigerator. This is the perfect place for a group getaway or family wanting to explore Los Angeles.
You are just a 30-minute drive to the Santa Monica Piers or Venice Boardwalk. Take a day trip out to Malibu and relax at beachside restaurants like Moonshadows, Gladstones, and Paradise Cove.
The Getty Center is less than 10 miles away, and the Griffith Observatory is worth exploring as well! Or you can drive 7 miles to the Staples Center and watch the Lakers play or catch some of the biggest names in the music business at LA Live.

All beds are made with fresh linens and we provide a set of clean towels for each guest on your arrival.

A mid-day cleaning service is available for $75. This includes, cleaning, providing fresh bedding, towels, and restocking all breakfast items.
A private chef is also available if you would like to cater a dinner or special event. Additional fees would apply.

Reserved Driveway Parking for 2 Cars is available for a flat fee of $35 per stay.
Portable Wifi Hotspots are available for city wide use for a flat fee of $40 per stay up to 1 week. (Wifi within apartment is complimentary)
A complimentary breakfast is available for stays of 5 nights or longer which includes eggs, milk, cereal and fruit, upon request.
For stays shorter than 5 nights breakfast is available for $40.
We will charge Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) of 12% and a refundable security deposit of $300 paid with cash or PayPal upon arrival.
House Rules: -Smoking is not allowed inside property. Smoking is allowed on the patio.
-Keep the property and all furnishings in good order
-Only use appliances for their intended uses
-Water and Sewage: Do not flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilet
-No loud music
My business colleagues and I were not only disappointed by the Melrose/Flores rental unit but disgusted by the condition of the apartment. In summary it was filthy, falling apart, ill equipped, full of broken fixtures, discolored walls with various holes in them, and not at all reflective of the presumably old images being presented on HomeAway and the various travel sites.
When we arrived there were empty bottles, floss, spilled coffee grounds, dust and cobwebs throughout. It was extremely stuffy and hot and we could not get any of the air conditioners to work except in the back bedroom. The silverware drawer had only some random items, there were no glasses whatsoever and we had to scrub down the counters. I called the property manager during that first day and naturally complained, asking for someone in management to please take a look, send in a house cleaner, look at the main air conditioner at least and to provide glasses and an ice tray. Nothing was done except when we came back on our final day glasses had been dropped off. There was even a large cockroach in the second bathroom on our last night. Needless to say, as stuffy, hot and dirty as it was we stayed as little as possible at this apartment.
I sent some photos. It's been ten days and to date we have not heard back from property manager Sunny Vacations.
I am a HomeAway member with property in Hawaii and have used HomeAway and VRBO many times throughout the past 12 years and no experience was even remotely as unpleasant. We feel we must issue some letters of complaint to the host sites since property manager never responded. Very sad.
