Location is everything…OK not everything, but luckily this cottage has all the premium features to go along with the perfect location, hardwood floors throughout, granite counter tops and it bubbles with all the latest design trends, built in 1994 and just remodeled in 2014. The house is on a flat lot located in historic and tranquil Old Orchard Point on the East side of Conesus Lake. Your family will feel like they have traveled back in time as neighbors walk the point road in the evenings, kids laughing, biking and family’s just enjoying their time together. No worries of the busy road traffic since our private road has few vehicles. The perfect location for a family on the water!

Come enjoy some well-deserved 'down time' and 'recharge'. Fish from our dock, paddle around in our kayaks, bring a boat or rent one of ours and join the fun on the water! Grill up your fresh catch on the deck and or sit back and relax on the 3 season porch overlooking the water and docks. The sunsets are amazing.

Our home has been completely renovated from top to bottom. Everything is fresh, modern, new and ready to enjoy. Every detail of this home was thought out to make it the perfect family vacation getaway for our family and YOURS! The home includes central air conditioning and the cottage has central heat too, just in case the nights get a little nippy.

Refresh in the romantic master suite located on the first floor that features a new queen bed with pillow top mattress, chandelier, recently installed carpet and HDTV. First floor bath has lovely dual vessel sinks and an exquisite shower for relaxing. Can also be used for grandparents to give them some privacy with first floor access.

Downstairs you will find a high ceiling great room with hardwood floor connected to a dining area and full kitchen with an island bar. Above the gas log fireplace is a Smart HDTV (1080p). Comfy seating allows you to enjoy each other’s company, TV or just watching the water out the wall of windows.

The farm table will seat 8. The kitchen is outfitted with granite counter tops, brand new stainless steel gas stove, refrigerator, dishwasher and other top-end appliances, everything you will need to prepare a great meal in the glow of the lake. The cottage has a full laundry area which includes a utility sink which is perfect for washing bathing suits, wiping sticky hands from s’mores and cleaning the trophy size fish of the day.

Upstairs you have another area to relax in a sitting room with two oversized chairs. You will find an assortment of books and games to have the perfect family time. There is another queen bed bedroom with pillow top mattress and HDTV. The kids' room features 2 twin pillow top mattress bunk beds with a fun fish theme as well as HDTV--- can also house teenagers/adults too. There is another full bath with double sinks and a shower/tub combination.

French doors off the family room lead to the 3 season room that gives you another spot for your family to relax in. The large room features an 8 person sectional and a game table for a quick round of checkers or a game of chess. Outside features include additional comfy seating on the patio, a gas grill for true summertime meals, 3 kayaks, dock perfect for a boat or to fish off of and a fire pit for evening campfires.

About Lorrie and Glenn Foster

This is a family adventure. Even though we have 3 GREAT kids and two full-time jobs, we wanted to have a family business where our kids could work side by side with us. The values, experience, and hard work have had a positive impact on them. We love to vacation as a family and have put that into this luxury vacation house.

Lorrie and Glenn Foster purchased this house in 2014

Why Lorrie and Glenn Foster chose Livonia

Conesus Lake is a great lake that our family has grown up on. It has that small town feel that transports you back in time when life was simpler. This house is on exclusive Old Orchard Point that most houses have been in the neighbors' families since early 1900. We couldn't pass up the opportunity to have a 'new' house on this great location but with the old time charm of the location.

What makes this house unique

So many to list...first floor bedroom with walk-in shower very accessible - also offers separation of space for multi-generations, flat lot, off road with minimal car traffic so you can walk, ride a bike or play catch without any worries, entire house renovated with high-end amenities so you can just unpack and start the relaxing family time.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had such a wonderful time at your house. We were very comfortable right from the start; everything was sparkling clean, nicely decorated, and cozy! We were lucky to have such nice weather and enjoyed three beautiful sunsets by the campfire as well as kayaking on the lake:) My mom was pleased with the accessible front entry and first floor layout. She especially enjoyed the screened porch. It was a great vacation! Thank you again for sharing your lovely home with us:)

The Perfect Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at the Fosters lovely lake house with my family for our annual fall hiking trip upstate! Lorrie was so nice to leave us freshly baked cookies and a bottle of wine! Such a warm, welcoming touch. The house was absolutely beautiful, truly a dream! On our first night there we had a nice bonfire, it was such a beautiful night! Some of us even got to get on the kayaks during our stay which was nothing short of beautiful and relaxing. We shared great memories in the home and we certainly didn't want to leave! That view of the lake will never get old! Everything about our stay was seamless. We would love to stay again. Thanks Lorrie!

Great family girls getaway

  • 5 of 5

There were 8 of us coming from two different directions to enjoy your house after our Women of Faith conference was cancelled.. Since we had all been planning to go to Rochester for the conference together we still wanted to do something. I have used VRBO before when planning vacations so I thought that might work for us. We had a wonderful weekend together. Your house was nice and warm with a fabulous view of the lake. Thank you for the cookies and wine, such a sweet touch. We all thought it would be such a great place in the summer to make use of the lake activities and patio area. But we had a great time playing games, visiting , eating and making lots of priceless memories together. Your place was perfect.🤗?😁?🤗?

Not Really Worth it

  • 1 of 5

Price: Overpriced for the area and locality. Owner has not included cleaning fees etc. in rent but anyway deducts money from your deposit for silly reasons. This is a good trick to bring down the rent to make house seem affordable and still collect good money from tenants.

Child Friendly: Not really a child friendly house. There are safety hazards and if you have an active toddler/child, better to avoid this house. Decorative items are prone to breakage since within reach of kids. Furniture on deck has dangerous corners. Door threshold was real safety hazard (my kid hurt her knee). If you move anything in house to safeguard your kids and forget to place it EXACTLY as it was, owner deducts money from deposit (weirdest reason ever heard to deduct money from deposit). No fencing around the lake boundary means that you cannot go out near fireplace/outdoor grilling because of fear of kids accidently falling in lake.

Privacy: Not really a private house for the amount of money you pay for it. House is located in a clumsy/busy neighborhood. After reaching the locality realized could have got a better private cottage for the kind of price paid.

House interiors: Good and well maintained.

Check-in process: Smooth. Did not have any issue.

Check-out process: Clumsy and not fit for a vacation rental. Owner’s expects house to be left EXACTLY as it was when checked in so that no further cleaning needed and next tenant can check in without them doing anything. This is close to impossible and not practical. Any small here & there and they deduct money from your deposit. You will be surprised if I list reasons given for deducting our deposit money.

Final Take: Avoid this house if you really want to have a vacation. Other better options available around Conesus Lake.

Owner's Response: A fair amount of damage was caused. The dishwasher, the sink and a door required significant repairs; the couch was stained; and several damaged kitchen items had to be replaced. We do understand that things happen, especially with a young family so we only deducted for only half of our costs to be fair. If you’d like to discuss further, please email or call us. It is unfortunate that our house was not the right fit for your family. We are glad to hear that you found our home interior well maintained, this is one of the key reasons many of our guests come back year after year as well as our location on Conesus Lake.

Thank you Lorrie and Glen for sharing your home once again to our family and friends. Your home is the perfect setup for a relaxing time away. Cookies as always an added treat! The weather made for an extra bonus as we were able to enjoy the lakeview backyard and warm fires at night. Your home is always clean and well supplied for us. We enjoyed every minute!

Luxury Retreat!

  • 5 of 5

What a perfect spot to kick back and enjoy nature, renew and build relationships, read, relax, or branch out into the surrounding communities and enjoy the Finger Lakes Region and all its beauty! The house is beautifully up-dated, spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and thoughtfully stocked. We had a wonderful time and would love a return visit!
