Inside, this well-equipped home boasts granite counters, travertine floors, satellite TVs, air conditioning, wireless Internet access and so much more.
Villa Cristina is located in the Cabo Bello neighborhood a few miles outside of downtown Cabo San Lucas. If you are looking for a quiet place away from the hustle and bustle then this is the place to stay. The best part is that is only short drive to downtown Cabo and even a shorter drive to Walmart if you need food or supplies. The house is very spacious and includes a washer/dryer, wi-fi, pool, hot tub and an outdoor grill area. The private neighborhood beach is not too far away. I would recommend driving as it would be too far to walk. You will also need to give the gate attendants some type of photo ID to get in and out of the neighborhood. Our concierge was Giovanni. He was great and always answered our calls and text and was able to help us with restaurant reservations and other activities. He also makes a great margarita. Can't wait to return to Villa Cristina and Cabo San Lucas.
Six of us stayed in Villa Cristina for 5 days and were sad to leave. The house was a million times better in person. Each room was extremely clean and comfortable. We could've easily stayed another week! The villa is outside of downtown Cabo, but we loved how easy it was to go to town. Hector was awesome as well! Very attentive. There are also buses that run right outside of Cabo Bello, (the neighborhood where Villa Cristina is located) and it made it so easy to get to town. We loved our stay at Villa Cristina and would come back in a heartbeat.
Thank you to Cabo Villas for all they did to help make this vacation special! So helpful and responsive and welcoming! We will definitely work with you again on future trips!
My parents, my sister and her partner, my aunt, my partner and I spend 5 days at Villa Cristina and enjoyed every moment of it. The property is gorgeous and well-maintained. When we had a problem with one of the speakers, Hector (the concierge) had someone over to fix it within hours. When we needed reservations, Hector handled them with ease. But mainly we loved sitting in the outdoor living area, soaking up the sun and trying to forget about the miserable year that was 2016. It was a very relaxing and reasonable priced vacation and everyone involved is keen to repeat it next year.
Home was well maintained, clean and staff was friendly and helpful.
Our comments as a group: Great location in the corridor. Close to town, Costco, Home Depot and public beaches. The Restaurant Viejo next door is Top Shelf. We had dinner there twice and if you catch the Cuban night there is great dancing to boot. Views on rooftop bar are spectacular. The home is in a gated community, but take note you will have to leave some identification at the gate coming in. We really enjoyed the bar downstairs and hot tub and pool area. Also the SONOS sound system was perfect for us as I have the same set up at home and I was able to download the bluetooth and rock. WiFi and DISH Network worked great, and local calls to the US were no charge. Home was equipped with boogey boards and we added a cooler for the beach trips.
We did suggest that there be a map of the beach below us. It was difficult to find but nice place to snorkel and kid friendly. The houses down towards the beach are very nice. Christina is up above that a little and there are a couple houses that seem dark and uninhabited close by. There was also a dog that barked in the middle of the night right next to us twice, and many dogs that barked in the morning as people got up and let them out, especially Saturday.
One home improvement would be a staircase from the upstairs kitchen to the lower pool area. You must walk to the back of the home to find stairs that take you lower. The pictures also suggested a roof top sunning area, but it is really located outside the upper floor. Maybe we got confused.
All told, Mexico is great to visit and the people are more than happy to make sure you have a great time. Cabo is growing but it is still easy to get into great restaurants or bars on the beach. If you haven't been to Mexico, Cabo is a great place to start.
This villa was wonderful! The decor is fabulous, very comfortable. The outside area with the private pool was my favorite. The only complaint I have is that getting to town is pricey, $20-$25 one way. Otherwise, had a wonderful time here. The concierge was fabulous and attentive and the property manager was very helpful when we had a small flood in the bottom bedroom.
We had a wonderful stay at Villa Christina. The house was beautiful, very clean, and nicely decorated. My youngest son (he's four) practically stayed in the pool. The views from the top were wonderful even though I wish we were closer to the ocean. The neighborhood was nice and the gatekeepers were very cordial. We also cooked outside on the grill (but it got kinda creepy once the sun went down and the bugs came out).
The only thing I wish the villa came with was a way to wash off sand before coming into the house. Just a thought.
