Located about midway between Yachats and Waldport, this home is in an absolutely ideal spot for beachgoers. Walk just steps to the end of the street and stroll right out onto the sand, where you will find a relatively uncrowded stretch of coastline that is perfect for beachcombing, sandcastle building, and enjoying the scenery. Drive a few miles down to Yachats to explore its few restaurants, or take a scenic drive north to Waldport and Newport.
This beautiful home features enough space for up to six guests, and you're even welcome to bring up to two dogs with you for an additional fee. This vacation rental has two bedrooms, one with a full bed and one with a twin-over-full bunk bed. There's also a pull-out sofa and one full bathroom with a tub and shower.
There is an open living space with a wood fireplace and a TV with a DVD player. Internet is provided so you can stay connected to the world if you choose. The living room opens to the dining area with a table for family-style meals. The kitchen is fully appointed and allows an abundance of natural light so it is bright and cheery!
There is a sliding door that leads out to a deck on the large private yard. There is even a large firepit that is the perfect place for the family to gather and tell stories. While the house is not technically oceanfront, it is about as close as you can get since the beach trail is just off the property line - and you can hear the waves from the yard!
The beautiful trail leads down to a sandy beach that you can walk for miles as the home is nestled between Tillicum State Park and San Marine State Park. Yachats is full of fun activities for all ages and is a perfect place for stormwatching in the winter. It is an eclectic town full of artists and cafes, and is just a short, scenic drive up or down the coast from other wonderful coastal towns.
Come stay at this dog-friendly Yachats home and enjoy a quiet yet fun-filled vacation!
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
It was a very nice place to stay on the beach. Entrance to the beach took us awhile to find as it is north of the cabin.
The beach is amazing by the house. We also discovered the State Park in town with spectacular views.
The house and location was great. I stayed for 4 nights with my 3 year old, 2 year old, sister and mom. It was comfortable, close to the beach and a wonderful time!
This was a very decent house close to the beach. You only have to walk down a gravel road a very short distance, then down a path to some stairs to the beach. There is no ocean view, but it is very close to the beach. The house was fairly well maintained and well stocked in the kitchen and bathroom. Everything was clean, the carpet and wood laminate flooring looked like new. The wood fireplace was great to have, and we enjoyed the hot tub. It is a fairly private setting, compared to some other places. The largest bed is only a full size, which was o.k. for us, but some people may want a larger bed. The kitchen window is fogged (seal is broken), so it's hard to see out the window which is too bad because it looks out onto a nice green lush yard. Watch out for the hidden $40 hot tub fee. It isn't mentioned anywhere, and is lumped in with all the fees. I didn't find out about it until I specifically asked for a breakdown of the fees because they seemed really high. Bring your own wood for the fireplace and fire pit, as they don't supply it. All in all, we were happy with our stay here!
This secluded space is a good place to get away. It's comfortable, well-provisioned, and has a great fireplace (and fire-pit). It's very close to the beach, and far enough removed from 101 that you hear little traffic. Beach access is quite close, but it involves rickety steps and a steep and rocky pathway--not recommended for the elderly or unaccompanied kids or pets. We made good use of the kitchen and modern appliances, appreciated the ample bookcase, and were delightfully surprised by the excellent internet access.
We enjoyed our stay at this home and will definitely visit again. We especially enjoyed the location -close to the beach and an easy drive to town, the hot tub and the cozy and artsy feel of the house. The owner needs to take care of a few maintenance issues but other than that, we really loved this house.
