We are 'snowbirds' that live in MIchigan and plan to retire in Florida.
Cynthia and Jeff Malone purchased this house in 2012
We wanted a home close enough to everything with Gulf access.
Sitting on the deck every morning soaking up the sun, listening to the birds. This is the place for me. This home has little bit of everything, it is tranquil and we are working on it every year; it is our little piece 'HEAVEN' to go and get away from the grind.
This is not a typical rental unit. It is much more like staying in your friends' home and having them leave all their toys for you to play with. The pool and backyard are fabulous and the location allows for easy access to many area attractions. The owners are incredibly easy to deal with and the response time to emails is the fastest I've ever seen. We found it to be a relaxing and comfortable place to stay.
Very clean home with convenient location to Edison Ford Estates, Manatee Park, Calusa Nature Center, golf and beaches! Pool, lanai, fenced-in area for dogs made for a relaxing vacation. Canal at the back creates a lovely setting for outside drinks on the deck! Lots of space inside with master bedroom and bath plus 3 more bedrooms. Super comfy beds! This is a great place to stay!
This house was excellent the view at the back yard was speechless amazing pool and comfortable place to stay nothing like it over all I rate it a 1000
This house was fantastic for my husband, me, and our daughter's family of 6! The bedrooms were spread out to give everyone their own space. The kids absolutely loved evenings in the pool after days at the beach. Our grandson spent most of his time on the dock fishing. I believe he caught something every time he fished. My husband and I had the house to ourselves for the second week. We enjoyed some golf and evenings downtown. My favorite was sitting in the lanai drinking my morning coffee, listening to the birds, and just enjoying life!
We stayed at the Alameda rental during the month of February. The listing was accurate and the house proved very comfortable for our needs. The location is convenient to many sites in the area. Of course the weather was perfect and beautiful beaches are less than 45 minutes away. Shopping centers are close by and there are many other attractions for the winter visitor. We especially enjoyed the natural areas nearby for hiking and birding. As sport fans we were lucky to visit JetBlue park to watch the Red Sox. Minnesota Twins training site is just as close. It’s also an easy day trip to Sarasota to see the Orioles. If we are able to be back in Ft. Myers in the future we will book this rental again. The house sits on a canal and is perfect for a small boats or kayaks.
Owners very easy to work with and enjoyed meeting some of the nearby neighbors.

Lee County Manatee Park is 2$ a car load and its 3 miles East on Palm Beach Blvd. This is 'Real Florida Living' and most popular attractions are close enough to plan a day trip. The Caloosahatchee River Park area is abundant with wildlife and fishing piers are everywhere. On the way to the beach you can visit the Edison/Ford Winter Estates and experience the fresh seafood at many various places. If you decide to hang out at the house, there is a in-ground pool, 2 bikes and 2 boats also a nice walking/picnic preserve across the street to have your morning walk/jog and dogs are allowed on a leash.
