Humble Cabin in Sequoia Park with crazy stars

Bedrooms 1
Space 340 sq ft
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

At the gate of wilderness, the cabin affords a nice view of Sequoia's hallmark Moro Rock, and is ideal for hikers, nature lovers, and small families with young children. Simple and convenient accommodations do not spoil the spirit of Nature, yet provide all the necessities for a comfortable and pleasant stay.

The cabin is located inside the park, just a couple minutes' drive from the South entrance. It is part of a small subdivision of about less than a dozen houses, mostly private vacation properties and family residences. The feel is more local than touristy; buildings are well spaced apart along the mountainside so as not to spoil the view. The cabin living/dining room windows offer stunning views of the surrounding mountain range.

The best swimming spot on Kaweah River is just a few minutes' walk away. A 30 minute drive brings you to the high mountain sierra Sequoia Grove. Crystal Cave and Mineral King are also within driving distance.

The cabin features a full kitchen with stove, microwave, refrigerator, cooking utensils and dining ware, and an outdoor barbecue area with grill, garden dining table and chairs.

The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed. The upstairs loft can sleep up to three children or two adults. The living room futon transforms into a bed for extra sleeping space.

The living room and downstairs bedroom each have a flatscreen TV and DVD player. Currently, satellite TV is NOT available (however, please stay tuned... we are still working on improvements based on customer requests, and will post updates as they are made).

A discount of the cleaning fee is available to guests who bring their own sheets and towels. For details, and/or any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact us!

Three Rivers is very nice.

  • 3 of 5

The property is not what they show in the pictures. It needs some work and some care on the outside also. It is very overgrown around the cabin and a little beat up. They said that they supplied towels, there were three of us for 5 days, and there was a total of three towels and three washcloths for the entire 5 days. It is down an awful road. The good part is it was conveniently located in Sequoia Park

We had a great visit. Cabin is small but we all enjoyed it. Great location right inside the park and we enjoyed some beautiful sunsets.

Reasonable and comfortable accommodations with a great location just inside the park entrance.

Perfect little set up for the two of us. This Tiny House has everything you need. Living room with a futon (The futon created some good laughs when my 6-1' 200 plus pounds body caused the boards for the back rest to fall out regularly when I moved around sitting on it. Nothing that we worried about but something that probably should be addressed)and one chair, bathroom with shower tub, bedroom with queen bed and plenty of closet space, loft with two mattresses that appeared comfortable on the floor. Fully functional kitchen with all the utensils, pots and pans you would ever need for your culinary delights. Just bring food and drinks and you are set. There is even a pretty good size DVD library if you are in the mood for a movie night. The bed was very comfortable and we slept like babies after a long day of hiking and exploring in the national park. We spent our evenings playing games at the kitchen table that seats four. Will definitely consider this property for revisits to the beautiful King Canyon National Park

Great tiny little cabin for our family of four

  • 4 of 5

This cabin met all our needs on our winter stay. We are a family who generally camps, so having hot water and a kitchen stocked with dishes and cookware made for a nice holiday. The beds were comfortable, the heater worked well, and the shower worked fine. The loft has a lowered ceiling, so while it was fine for the kids, Mom & Dad needed to walk on their knees. That was totally fine for us, but just be aware adults cannot stand in the loft.

Overall, great spot within the park, close to trails and not far from a visitor center.
