Humble Cabin in Sequoia Park with crazy stars

Bedrooms 1
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

At the gate of wilderness, the cabin affords a nice view of Sequoia's hallmark Moro Rock, and is ideal for hikers, nature lovers, and small families with young children. Simple and convenient accommodations do not spoil the spirit of Nature, yet provide all the necessities for a comfortable and pleasant stay.

The cabin is located inside the park, just a couple minutes' drive from the South entrance. It is part of a small subdivision of about less than a dozen houses, mostly private vacation properties and family residences. The feel is more local than touristy; buildings are well spaced apart along the mountainside so as not to spoil the view. The cabin living/dining room windows offer stunning views of the surrounding mountain range.

The best swimming spot on Kaweah River is just a few minutes' walk away. A 30 minute drive brings you to the high mountain sierra Sequoia Grove. Crystal Cave and Mineral King are also within driving distance.

The cabin features a full kitchen with stove, microwave, refrigerator, cooking utensils and dining ware, and an outdoor barbecue area with grill, garden dining table and chairs.

The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed. The upstairs loft can sleep up to three children or two adults. The living room futon transforms into a bed for extra sleeping space.

The living room and downstairs bedroom each have a flatscreen TV and DVD player. Currently, satellite TV is NOT available (however, please stay tuned... we are still working on improvements based on customer requests, and will post updates as they are made).

A discount of the cleaning fee is available to guests who bring their own sheets and towels. For details, and/or any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact us!

We wanted to Visit Sequoia National Park in the off Season & see the Snow!

  • 5 of 5

Humble Cabin is great because of the beauty, location, & the price is right. We are from the Monterey Peninsula & the Big Sur area. We found the Cabin very easy. The paved road is easy to navigate as we are used to winding dirt roads in Big Sur. We had never visited Sequoia National Park & love adventure The Cabin & the Park are truly a wonderful experience. We will definitely visit again. Thank you Christine for making the Cabin beautiful & Clean for us!!!

Super cute, cozy and private.

  • 5 of 5

The property is on the side of a hill with surrounding cabins of larger sq ft but you get a gorgeous view of a few high hilled peaks. The Kaweah river is a few hundred feet further down the hill, across the main road that leads into the the park.

The cabin is comfortable and the beds are decent. Up in the loft the cieling is low for anyone taller than 3 feet so I would recommend it for children or low maintenance people who don't mind the low ceiling in the loft.

No wifi or cable but it has a flat screen and dvd player with movies.

We liked this place alot. My kids had a lot of fun

This place was cozy and comfortable, we are a family of 4 and for the price this place was perfect for us. We would like to book this place again in the future. Wi-fi would be great if it's added to the cabin, other than that everything was good.

Great Location!

  • 4 of 5

Stayed here for 2 nights. It's a cozy little basic cabin and self-sufficient. i was by myself and even though it was nice to be disconnected (no phone/no wifi)- it was a teenie bit scary- just in case of emergency (that's why the 4 stars). No cable was actually a blessing. Maybe living room furniture needs to be updated- personally didn't even feel like sitting in the living room. Spent most of my time at the dining table, kitchen and bedroom. The dvd collection needs to be updated as well.

Very clean kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. I would definitely consider coming back and staying again but this time I would better prepare myself.

Nice little cabin

  • 4 of 5

Humble cabin is cute and has great views! A couple things around the cabin are in need of minor repair, no big deal. Was accosted by an unfriendly neighbor while walking in the road for being "in his backyard" who then attempted to lecture me about the difference between staying at a hotel and renting private property.
