About Jacqueline Hammond

Restless Native is a family owned company with one boat in our 'Fleet'. Our boat 'Aria' was our home for over a year in Europe and the Caribbean. After a bout with cancer, I decided that I wanted to spend some very good quality time with my family without the normal day to day distractions.

In June 2007 we went to live on Aria. After six weeks of outfitting our boat in the beautiful French Port of La Rochelle on the Atlantic Ocean we departed for Spain. We sailed to Spain, Portugal, Gibraltar and into the Mediterranean.

Since the weather was bad and getting worse, we had a crew sail Aria from Barcelona, Spain to the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean.

We sailed the Caribbean for several months until we returned home to Hawaii.

We now live in the wonderful Florida Keys where we are able to enjoy sailing Aria whenever we want to.

Jacqueline Hammond purchased this yacht in 2007

Why Jacqueline Hammond chose Key West

Key West is a wonderful and vibrant city with terrific restaurants, hotels, friendly people, great diving, snorkeling and of course, sailing.

Our location in the Historic City Marina in 'Old Town' is ideal. It is the most protected berth in the harbor and we are close to everything that Key West offers. During the day, the seaport is a bustling harbor but at night it is extremely quiet and serene.

We want to share our love for the water with new friends and this is the ideal way.

What makes this yacht unique

Staying onboard a luxury yacht in the Historic Seaport of Key West is a unique experience. You can enjoy the amenities of a luxury hotel and still be part of the community. All stays include private crewed sailing time.

Do you dream of sailing on a yacht? Aria is 42 feet long by 25 feet wide and is very spacious and stable. Living on a boat is a unique experience for those who love the boating lifestyle and the water. This is the perfect way to experience the real Key West.

Great Trip

  • 5 of 5

Great location , couldn't have asked for a better location. The boat was very roomie and as advertised. The marina is in the historic seaport you are about a block from Duvall Street. We rented bikes from Easton Bikes , used the pool at Dantes which is a stones throw from the boat.

It is a boat so you should understand it's not a hotel room but your living on a boat. We mostly used the marinas bathhouse for showers in lieu of the boats. The other side of coin is got more sun just laying on the front of the boat with all the creature comforts of home.

My only concern would be in the heat of the summer July and August whether the AC could keep up. It was fine for us.

The marinas wif was really poor essentially just used our cell service , both AT&T and Verizon worked great.

Try the Cuban Coffe queen for coffee in the morning you are literally surrounded by restaurants that you can see from your boat. There is a small store across the street from marina has all the stuff you would need , plenty of shopping all around, we had a great trip!

Spotless, great location.

Perfect getaway. Walking distance to Duval Street and Mallory Square. Captain Mark was gracious and helpful. The sunset cruise was breathtaking and a lot of fun, Captain Mark and 1st mate Brie created an amazing once in a lifetime experience. We highly recommend The Aria. Just a note it's boat living so there are certain limitations that go with that but a bath house is a quick 5 minute walk for a llittle bigger shower..

Exceeded our expectations

  • 5 of 5

Ultra convenient to the Key West experience. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Never having done this kind of vacation before found ourselves pleasantly surprised at every turn. Our outings at sea were also spectacular. Couldn't have been a better 50th Birthday weekend. Thanks to Capt Mark for loaning me his guitar and his attentiveness to details. We'll be back! Maybe Cuba?!?

vacation of a lifetime! The best ever!!

  • 5 of 5

Being the first time we ever stayed on a catamaran, we were extremely happy , as it far exceeded our expectations. We found it to be very safe and secure in the heart of it all. Captain mark was on the yacht waiting for us , and explained everything. He told us if we needed anything or had any further questions we only had to call and he was 150 steps away. The yacht was extremely clean, and the view of other yachts in our bight was magnificent! The snorkeling was great, and the evening sail at sunset was unbelievably beautiful! Great family vacation & our two grandkids (12 & 13) loved it!!

Living on the water was a great experience and nice alternative to a hotel

  • 5 of 5

This is an awesome location in the marina. Captain Mark is a friendly knowledgeable host who provides a lot of local info - where to eat and where to find the out of the way spots only locals would know about. We had an awesome time and would definitely stay on the boat again when we return to Key West.

Christmas in Heaven

  • 5 of 5

Our family arrived at Aria on the day before Christmas Eve. It was a beautiful evening for a sunset cruise! Captain Mark was fantastic! We had a great overview of the vessel with him and all the details about living aboard a boat. There is a very close restroom, with showers and toilets and laundry facilities that you have access to with a swipe card. There are also 3 full bathrooms on the boat. No shoes are allowed on board. Our family rented bikes and were able to get anywhere we wanted to go. The location could not be more perfect. So close to "the action"', but in a quiet marina that allowed sleeping with no problems. We went to Pépé's for breakfast one day and spent several afternoons at the Schooner Wharf Bar. The accommodations on the boat are very comfortable and private for each of the three bedrooms. There is a nice kitchen area and we did cook there one time, but it is much easier to eat out. There is ample refrigerator space and a huge cooler for beverages. There is ice available for purchase right at the dock. We loved this vacation and made some great memories here! Captain Mark and Bre were very helpful giving tips and helping us with whatever we needed. Highly recommend this for a different type of stay in Key West!
