About Dick Sabatini- Owner

About ten years ago, Dick Sabatini and family bought 91 acres of land adjacent to the Pellerin Campground. The Sabatini brothers who are builders by trade, constructed five cabins in the woods. These three season cabins have provided many happy family memories for our family and many others.

Dick Sabatini- Owner purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Dick Sabatini- Owner chose Kennebec

Voted #23 out of 100 US lakes by BassMaster for bass fishing in 2014!

Unlike most lake front properties in Maine, this property has a gradual slope that continues into the water. This makes it enjoyable for boating, swimming and great for kids. The friendly people at the Pellerin Campground made us feel like part of the family. You too will enjoy the friendly family atmosphere here at the cabins at Pellerin Cove!

What makes this cabin unique

The stars are so bright in the sky at night while enjoying singing and fun around the campfire. Don't forget your guitar.

Just ok.

  • 2 of 5

Cabin itself was nice, but the beds were worse than sleeping on the floor. Kitchen was well stocked with essentials to cook a meal. The communication with the owner was not good. I sent 2 messages asking about any paperwork that needed to be filled out and the check in process and i got no response. Probably would not stay here again.

great visit!

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely stay at the cabins at China Lake. We rented two cabins for the whole family to stay while we attended graduation festivities at Colby College. Since we were busy all weekend, we didn't really take advantage of the lake, but the cabins were comfortable, clean and well stocked. We even appreciated the little touches like fresh ice cubes in the freezer! Thanks for a great stay.

Clean, beautiful, and relaxing

  • 5 of 5

The cabins on Pellerin Cove are beautiful and a great vacation spot to getaway. Immediately you walk into a clean, classic wooden cabin; the owners keep this place clean and fresh so it still smells brand new. This is a great place for family and friends with a full kitchen and screened-in porch and in walking distance from a beautiful fresh water lake which is good for just about any water recreational activity (swimming, fishing, kayaking, paddle board, etc.). The community that you will encounter will treat you like you're family. They love visitors and love community activities and games, so don't be afraid to mingle! The cabins are close to a grocery store and a few local diners which are lovely and just about all you will need. The cabins do get hot sometimes in the summer as they do not have AC but it did not seem to really trouble us with the provided fans and lake within such close proximity. Also embrace the lack of television and scarce cell phone service (not too scarce, but enough to turn your phone off for the stay) for it truly embodies staying in the cabins. Don't be warped into technology during your stay for you will have missed out on the true beauty of the cabins and beautiful Maine environment.

China, Maine is 15 minutes east of Augusta, the capitol of Maine, for flights and easy highway access. Coastal Maine is within half hour away. Camden and BoothBay just shy of a hour to drive. Two hours north is white water rafting down the Kennebec River. One of our favorite family events!!
