About ten years ago, Dick Sabatini and family bought 91 acres of land adjacent to the Pellerin Campground. The Sabatini brothers who are builders by trade, constructed five cabins in the woods. These three season cabins have provided many happy family memories for our family and many others.

Voted #23 out of 100 US lakes by BassMaster for bass fishing in 2014!
Unlike most lake front properties in Maine, this property has a gradual slope that continues into the water. This makes it enjoyable for boating, swimming and great for kids. The friendly people at the Pellerin Campground made us feel like part of the family. You too will enjoy the friendly family atmosphere here at the cabins at Pellerin Cove!
The stars are so bright in the sky at night while enjoying singing and fun around the campfire.
Love the Area, the peace and quietness the offered for those that need to relax from the stressful life. Peace and see you next year.
Very late at night we turn off the main road & follow the sign to Pellerin Campground Gravel crunches beneath our tires as we slowly make our way along the dark & wooded path We approach a solitary cabin on the right The lights are on & the inner door stands open in welcome "This is it" I say It looks perfect! The cabin itself is bare-bones but charming True the web description says "LL Bean" & has pictures of knickknacks & such none of which are present & would arguably give a stronger feeling of "cozy" but because everything else lives up to my expectations I am willing to overlook The cabin is constructed entirely of wood & instantly lives up to my vision of "quintessential cabin on the lake" Nicely nooked into the tree line you have privacy from every window The family room has a gas woodstove loveseat coffee table easy chair & side table We have a small table with 2 chairs off the kitchen plus an island with two bistro stools The kitchen has a refrigerator/freezer stove with oven microwave toaster coffee maker teapot plus pots & pans utensils & all the kitchen gadgets one needs for a stay! The kitchen leads to a roomy bathroom with a nice big shower The master bedroom off the family room has a full bed two night stands a dresser with a fair amount of storage space & some hooks on the door & along the wall The cabin itself is clean clean clean except the floors Im not sure if housekeeping forgot to sweep or perhaps because the windows were left open for us (love that!) some things got through the screens No big deal I find a broom & dustpan in the bathroom closet & tidy up a bit My favorite part of the cabin: the huge screened-in porch in the front! Outdoors we have a picnic table gas grill & fire pit While we dont have views of the lake it is a very short walk I was afraid the lake by day the lake would not be peaceful That a non-stop stream of motorized jet skis & boats & people & noise & crowding & annoyances would eat its way into our R&R Or that aesthetically the lake would disappoint like looking out & instead of seeing endless trees across the water I'd see a row of condos or hotels or businesses None of the above is the case on China Lake While there are boats & jet skis they are not "loud & annoying" & so few people mean the instances of such are anyway minimized We spend our days floating on the lake or under an umbrella feeding ducks reading talking & daydreaming (me) napping (him) Many thanks to Jim et al for a very warm welcome!
