Colm and Katy Brophy are your friendly, gracious, and welcoming hosts at The Winthrop Carter House. They both grew up in small town NH, attended high school together, re-connected at their 20th class reunion, fell in love and married at their other property, Longlook Farm, in 2010. They share a love for old homes and country landscapes. Katy and Colm had such an incredible wedding weekend celebrating with family and friends at Longlook Farm that they wanted to be able to offer country wedding venues to other couples seeking a country destination wedding venue in a beautifully scenic location. Having hosted their own wedding at Longlook Farm, Katy and Colm have seamlessly incorporated all of the modern amenities of a quality wedding venue while revitalizing the historic beauty of The Winthrop Carter House. Their combined talents in interior design and landscaping create the perfect mix of rustic charm and understated elegance inside and out. The venue has been extremely well designed and is meticulously cared for by Katy and Colm, a great source of pride for both of them.
Katy and Colm enjoy a VERY full and lively life with their five children and feel very fortunate to be able to live and work in rural NH.
