This Ocean View contemporary & spacious 1 bedroom condo has a straight line view to the private beach, situated in the new beachfront community of Playa Turquesa Ocean Club, located in the heart of the tourist towns of El Cortecito & Los Corales(heart-throb of Punta Cana).

Nearly 900 sq. feet, third floor , with elevator, to include 1 large bedroom with King Sized bed with Simmons BackCare Pillowtop mattress, TV and Safety Deposit box, 1 full bath & 1 half bath both with walk in showers and hairdryer, a full size contemporary kitchen extremely well equipped, breakfast bar with seating, spacious livingroom which has leather corner sofa and dining table and chairs, with 48" Smart TV which includes free Netflix for our guests to enjoy & a large balcony with constant breezes from the ocean.

The balcony is equipped with dining table and chairs and top of the line Stainless Weber Gas BBQ to enjoy dining al fresco.

And we have comfortable seating to one side to enjoy a cocktail while watching the ocean.

All windows and doors have screens, together with ceiling fans, reducing your need for air conditioning, to make use of the natural breeze which flows through this condo

There are separate central air systems for the living area and the bedroom, meaning you only need to cool one area at once The bedroom has a wifi controlled thermostat, meaning you can schedule it to suit your needs, or turn on remotely from the I Phone we leave for your use in the condo

There is an electric credit of $50 per week included in the rental rate - monthly discounted rates pay their own electric

Other amenities include the best WiFi in the area with 20mbps download/3mbps upload speeds, (the norm is only 1 mbps) this is private for our guests, a stackable washer/ dryer, cable TV, beach towels, a water cooler dispenser & more, and a detailed information book to steer our guests in the right direction!

My husband Silvy and myself relocated from the Canary Islands, Spain to Bavaro, Punta Cana in the summer of 2006

Silvy is originally from Lanzarote, I am from Argyll in Scotland

We had been travelling to the DR since 1988, always drawn back here - so it seemed inevitable that one day we would try to live our dream

Liz Borges Cabrera purchased this condo in 2006

Just after we arrived and set up home here, is when the announcement appeared for Playa Turquesa Ocean Club

We were so excited and lucky to have been able to purchase our unit preconstruction - finally getting our keys in July 2010

What makes this condo unique

Beachfront! Bavaro has one of the prettiest, safest beaches, and ours is private:-)

The condo has fantastic ocean views and breezes

We wouldnt want to live anywhere else.

This area has really come to life over the past couple of years.

You can walk everywhere safely, and have so many bars and restaurants to enjoy.

This condo was set up as our home, so it is much more equipped that just a basic rental unit

We never get tired of looking down to our view of the ocean, which we can see from our sofa watching TV, or where we spend most of our life, sat on the big balcony

This is our dream come true

Upscale, Immaculate, Serene Paradise

I am a 48 year old American female first time solo traveler to Punta Cana AND I COULD NOT HAVE ENJOYED MY STAY MORE! Sit back - relax...in depth review ahead!

Liz Borgas owns and manages this upscale Unit (B-302) with a to-die-for balcony overlooking both pools and a lovely view of the beach. The photos are 100% accurate. Every unit at Playa Terquesa is safely situated within the heavily guarded private community with immaculately maintained grounds and is equidistant to the beach, pools, main office, stores, restaurants and bars. A large shopping center is only another mile away should you need an ATM or grocery haul but the two minimarts on site have all of your basics if you don't plan to do a ton of cooking. Restaurant options were plentiful enough for a week's stay. Best part...you don't need a rental car!

What made my vacation special was that it was a nice mix of quiet time on the patio, at the beach and in the pool while I still made easy conversation with other (often extended stay solo) travelers, store owners, etc. The guards are especially diligent about protecting guests/owners which really allowed me to let my hair down and roam the beach and busy shopping/dining vicinity in comfort. Even though I visited during Spring beak (when kids have no school in the US and often travel with their family) I was never bothered as there are no crowds or rowdy moments. Music is often heard playing in the distance but never distracted me from my book. I was never once confronted with aggressive vendors and I found the Dominican people to be especially kind, considerate and charming.

The busy tourist area of Bovara mixes heavily into a local community where Spanish is dominant so have a few phrases ready to go.

My personal recommendations are the beachfront bar for lunch (open 8-7 if the weather is sunny). Amazing juice concoctions and a small but absolutely delicious lunch menu (coconut curry chicken burrito, carribean angus burger with seasoned fries and fish tacos were the options during my visit). The owner Jacob aims to please and is very sweet. I also enjoyed Wacomole, an interesting take on Mexican but I didn't love the cocktails here. And of course Citrus with a very varied menu that hit a home run every time (lobster risotto, steak churasco, wraps and salads that don't disappoint).

Liz is a consummate professional who helped me with several special needs during my stay and even supplies a cell phone in the unit.

Enjoyable Stay

Liz (owner) met us as we arrived, and was most helpful throughout our two week stay. The condo was exactly as represented, very nice, comfortable and convenient. Close to beach, pools, and easy walking to restaurants. The balcony was a real plus and cooling breezes were always available. We only did breakfast "in", but getting groceries was also easy. Would highly recommend to anyone!

chill-relax enjoy the locals

Many options in Punta Cana are 'all you can eat/drink'...no thanks.

My wife and I were celebrating our 50th; not really interested in all you can 'eat/drink'. One can only eat/drink so much after all.

We wanted a place where we were not surrounded by the 'adults-only' (a.k.a. adults acting like kids) crowd.

Of course there are still plenty of opportunities to take 'rum-boat' tours if you want---too noisy and hangover-prone for us though.

We just laid on the beach (with a beer or food) and watched them depart.

We wanted a place where we could prepare food or enjoy the local cuisine (we recommend Citrus restaurant a 2-min walk) and get a flavor of the locals...have a glass of wine or local beer.

We did not want to rent a car (not sure why anyone would want to drive here) and you don't need one.

Liz's place comes with the-great-Alex the cab driver. Or you can walk to local restaurants or food stores; or ride a local bus to a shopping centers. Liz is the owner and resides near by and is available to assist you. She is very helpful and made our trip easy.

Playa Turquesa B-302 checked all the boxes for us.

The pictures you see on the web site are accurate. The complex is very clean and well kept. There is full time security; but outside the gates of the complex we never felt in danger...the locals are generally nice folks.

Un petit paradis

Nous avons passé un mois chez Liz et le condo est exactement comme les photos. Liz est très serviable et toujours là pour répondre aux questions. Alex aussi est un chauffeur de taxi très gentil et fiable, il peut aussi vous offrir des excursions. Le site est magnifique et très bien entretenue et bien sûr une plage magnifique. Nous y retournons l'an prochain. Liz, thank you and see you next year!
