Such a charming and warm house with everything you could possibly need. Very safe and secluded area, super short drive to town. And Glenna is an amazing host- available for any questions or needs. So glad we came!

lovely week in the Berkshires

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for a week in August in the Berkshires. Comfortable, great front porch, big back yard, and ideally located near a lake for swimming and a short walk to downtown GB.

Great for unplugged family time

  • 4 of 5

Our family wanted to stay somewhere close enough to walk into town and suitable for our kids to bring friends. Owner very nice and accessible if needed. It was great to be able to cook at "home" so, the space was perfect for us. All beds were comfortable. One room had a daybed with a trundle which suited the two girls, but they complained about no window shades in that room. To accommodate the other two kids, one took the other bedroom, the other used the comfortable, pull-out couch located on the main floor a "den-like" space, separate from the living room. This house worked out great for us, but the space may be best for two couples and a couple of kids sharing a room and maybe more if using the pullout couch. There is no cable connection, so we used their WiFi but the connection was weak. Gas grill was in poor condition and hard to cook with. But the kitchen and living spaces were great. Our favorite time was the quiet time spent on the porch with the beautiful view. An uphill walk on the way back to the house if you go by foot to town or the lake (we caught fish!).

Great Place for a Relaxing Weekend

  • 5 of 5

My wife, in-laws and I stayed here to attend a dinner we had in Great Barrington. The house was wonderful and had everything we needed. It was very clean, offered excellent outdoor space, and located in a quiet (and beautiful) part of town. The proprietor was very responsive and friendly over email. I highly recommend the location to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend or a well-located home base.

Fine Place for Family Stay

  • 5 of 5

My wife, three sons and I stayed here to attend my niece's wedding in New Marlborough. We found the house met our needs. The first floor rooms are large and well furnished. The three bedrooms upstairs with the full bath were of modest size. Everything was very clean and neat. These were some useful supplies in the refrigerator. There is also a half bath on the first floor. Quiet location high on the hill above the town. Would recommend for groups up to 6. Price was only a bit more than one room at the Holiday Inn Express down on the main drag. Listing was completely accurate.

Great place for a girls' weekend

  • 5 of 5

Several girlfriends and I have been coming to the Berkshires for years. We have stayed in hotels, inns, guest houses, and now this farmhouse. The wraparound porch was the draw for us. It has lots of sunny and shady space to spread out and catch up. Among other things, Glenna provides plenty of towels, nice shampoo and conditioner, and a good coffee maker…all were appreciated!
