PERFECT Location - Great Apartment too!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this great apartment for 5 nights, early Sept '16; couldn't have chosen a better location - literally less than 1/4 block out the front door is the Quartre Septembre Metro station - easy to basically go everywhere. Map location on VRBO is in-correct - bldg is on rue de Choiseul between rue du Quatre Septembre & rue St. Augustin - very quiet area with cafes, shops & a fabulous boulangerie less than 3 blocks.

We really enjoyed the apartment too! Older building -totally re-done with marble & a decent sized elevator. 2 levels of locking doors for lobby entrance - yet in a very safe neighborhood. We felt very comfortable wandering around at night or coming back late on the Metro and walking the short distance to the front door of the building. Kitchen has a Nespresso and an electric tea kettle so we were happy. With all the good food in Paris we didn't do any real cooking - but was sure nice to have coffee & tea and a refrigerator to keep food cold! Washer & dryer came in handy too given that we were at the end of 3+ weeks in France!

There is a large Monoprix (big grocery chain all over France) on the far side of the Ave de l'Opera - head left out of apartment then right on Rue St. Augustin - about a 10 minute walk (go LEFT after crossing over Ave de l'Opera - is a block or so - you can't miss it). Or use Google maps!

Don't bring Nespresso coffee pods - they're 1/2 the USA price & in every grocery store as everyone in France has a Nespresso! Food in grocery stores is a GREAT BARGAIN all over France - we found the Paris Monoprix only slightly more expensive than the one in Bordeaux or the Carrefour in Orange. At grocery stores we bought large wedges of Brie for 2 Euros - less for Goat Cheese; packages of Pate for less than 2 Euros and of course, bagettes of bread for next to nothing. We ending up eating like the French - large meal out at lunch time and then bread, cheese, pate & good wine (also less than 6 Euros in the grocery store!) at dinner.

Booking this was easy! Very responsive - spoke/wrote English well. We had the cell phone number of the property manager who was to meet us at a café at a certain time. She took us to the building - showed us how the access worked. Then showed us the apartment & how everything worked - leaving a binder with helpful information and her number again in case we needed to reach her.

We would definitely return to this Paris home away from home! Merci beaucoup!

Great location, very nice apartment

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very nice apartment. It was clean, comfortable, bright and welcoming, and very well equipped. The washing machine and iron were greatly appreciated, since we were there for 10 days! The rather upscale neighbourhood couldn't have been better: lots of restaurants and bistros nearby, the metro across the street, a little square with benches for sitting nearby. The Opera, the Louvre, and major shopping areas were within an easy walk. Although the area is busy, the apartment is on a little one-way street so it was quiet at night. The location was superb! The furniture was also very comfortable, although the bed was rather low. We would not hesitate to re-book at this apartment! Pam G.

Perfect for Visiting Paris

  • 5 of 5

I brought my mother to Paris for a mother-daughter trip and we had a great time. The location of the apartment was perfect for visiting the city, with plenty of restaurants nearby. We walked to the Opera, the high-end department stores, the Louvre, Royal Palace, Montmartre and more from here. The Metro station is closeby as well to help you get around (we took it to go to the Palace of Versailles for example). The apartment itself looks like the photos, was equipped as described with no surprises. It was clean with very nice sheets and plenty of towels provided. Surprisingly quiet considering its location.

Excellent Location in Proximity to Opera

  • 5 of 5

The location is excellent, especially the proximity to the Opera as we were travelling from CDG with heavy suitcases (FYI there's the "Roissy Bus" that runs from the airport to the Opera and you can walk to the apartment from there!). It is also very close to a couple of supermarkets, lots of restaurants and patisseries. All the appliances worked well and they provided instructions on how to use them. The apartment itself was very cozy and the heat worked great for the chilly Parisian nights. The building and neighborhood were also very secure so we did not feel worried about coming or going or our belongings. Wifi was very fast and reliable and useful to look up restaurants. Our experience was very positive and we would not hesitate to go back to this apartment again.

Great for visiting Paris!

  • 5 of 5

Great experience - everyone we spoke with (Paul, Alexandra and Lizzie) was very friendly, fast to respond to emails and well organized from making the reservation, organizing our late arrival and the check out. All instructions and recommendations provided in the flat were useful and thorough. The apartment was well equipped and served our needs perfectly. Super close to the Opera (definitely recommend touring this beautiful place!) as well as the Louvre. We loved discovering the Palais Royal Gardens which were slightly hidden and way less crowded than the Tuileries. There’s a bus that runs from CDG Airport to nearby the Opera so it’s a great way to reach the city without taking an expensive taxi.

Wonderful apartment

  • 5 of 5

This apartment was exactly as advertised. Bright, spacious and very centrally located to museums, gardens and cafes. Communication leading up to our trip was easy and reliable. The woman who met us to show us the apartment was on time, friendly and helpful. The apartment was clean, plenty of towels and linens and perfect for our family of three. The kitchen was great, plenty of tools and everything in excellent working order. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again!
