Charlotte Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, 2 Bedrooms + sleeping porch, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6)

This home is part of The Home Collection--Charlotte's Boutique Furnished Residences.

This exquisite second floor, two bedroom residence is located on Queens Rd., one of the prettiest tree-lined avenues in the city, in the prestigious neighborhood of Myers Park. Created by famous landscape architect John Nolen in 1911, Myers Park's curving avenues, gracious homes and small parks combine to create one of the South's most livable neighborhoods, less than a mile from Uptown.

We've maintained the character of the historic 1920's apartment building, while completely updating and renovating the interior. Stainless appliances with granite countertops, new heating and cooling systems and newly remodeled bathroom provide modern amenities, while the original refinished hardwoods, graceful arched doorways and 2-panel doors provide the charm so often absent in new construction.

Large double-hung windows let in an abundance of light in all of the rooms, and the sunporch allows you to enjoy the beautiful views of the Myers Park while working at the desk or relaxing on the sofa sleeper or chair. The sleeper is perfect for one average adult or two children. The apartment is located on the second floor, overlooking the beautiful shaded front lawn that is private with easy access. Off-street parking is also provided.

The beautiful new galley kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, utensils, etc., a dual fuel gas range with convection oven, refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, disposal, and a stackable washer and dryer. Off of the kitchen, a dining area comfortably seats four but can seat up to six also with a nice view over the front lawn.

In the large living room, upholstered furniture provides comfortable seating, a flatscreen television offers entertainment options, and a desk and wifi enable business travelers to work.

400-thread-count linens and thick Egyptian cotton towels offer all of the comforts of home, and each bedroom has a generous closet and a television. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, the second has two twin beds.

Wide sidewalks and towering oaks throughout the neighborhood provide an ideal place for walking or jogging, and a coffee shop, multiple restaurants (including Ethiopian, Thai, casual and fine Italian, etc.), shopping and even an independent movie theater are a half mile away. Spring through fall, a farmers market is open Wed, Fri and Sat around the corner from the apartment, and a new greenway offers a convenient connection to Freedom Park, Dilworth and Carolinas Medical Center.

Ideal for short- or long-term stays for business or pleasure, or when visiting someone at either CMC or Presbyterian Hospitals, our goal is for you to feel at home during your stay. We'll try hard to accommodate almost any special request and we live less than 2 miles away, so are readily available should something come up. We look forward to hosting you.

Why Jim Hock chose Charlotte

Charlotte has been our home for 40+ years for Jim and 20+ years for James , and we love sharing our city with other travelers. We feel that location is paramount in any decision to vacation, and ours is one of the most centrally located neighborhoods in the entire city. We purchased this home as a rental when we lived in the building in another unit and lived here a number of years before buying a single family home nearby.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you so much for letting us stay in your delightful home while my husband recovered from surgery. You really thought about everything. Thanks for the food and snacks--we felt so welcomed!

Thanks also for so quickly meeting us with the keys on such short notice--things move so quickly with transplants, our heads were spinning, and we really appreciate it.

This felt like such a safe and homey place to stay at such a difficult time for our family, and it was incredibly convenient to be so close to the hospital. We'll pass your information along to the transplant center so others know about your accommodations and warm hospitality.

Thanks again.

Double WOW!

  • 5 of 5

We rent through VRBO all the time and I must say this one takes the cake for a city stay! Not one detail went undone from the snacks/beverages upon arrival to the cleaniness of the apartment. We travel with our dogs and I will say pet friendly places are hit or miss- this was a total hit and you would have never known another pet stayed here. The unit is located on one of the prettiest tree lined streets in Charlotte.

The owners and property manager couldn't have been nicer or any more accommodating- they are definitely in the right business!

I would highly recommend this unit!

Hidden Gem

Beyond expectations. The manager Charlie did such a great job accommodating us for a girls weekend. When we arrived, soft classical music was playing, the lighting was peaceful and a full bar was waiting. The first night we arrived I made pasta and marinara that was left for us. We proceeded to look around the house at all the wonderful nooks and crannies. Everything we could have needed was there, pots and pans, towels, fruit, outlets , etc. I made a random request for a screwdriver and within minutes, I received a text from Charlie saying he left one for us on the table in the hallway. We can't wait to come back and we didn't want to leave! We were granted a late check out so that we could enjoy just a little more time. I can say thank you to Jim and Charlie enough! You won't regret staying here...

Fantastic girls' weekend spot

  • 5 of 5

A group of girlfriends stayed here for a long weekend -- the accommodations exceeded our expectations. Beautifully furnished and decorated, very clean, and stocked with everything we could possibly need for the weekend. Great location, ample parking, and even some goodies (wine, snacks, etc.) waiting for us on arrival! Five stars all around.

Beautifully appointed, completely comfortable, great location

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying at Queens Terrace while exploring Charlotte with our family. We loved being able to bring our dog and take walks through the neighborhoods -- Especially my morning jaunt to Starbucks each day. We were perfectly located to all the sights we wanted to see. Everything is 12-15 minutes away. But also enjoyed spending a lazy day around the house. It's so comfortable -- there is no need to leave. The kitchen (and food provided) made it easy to make dinners and breakfasts.

We didn't want to leave!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed in this beautiful, eclectic, light-filled pied-à-terre 4 nights while we were waiting to move into our town home in Uptown Charlotte. I chose this vacation rental because I wanted an historic property that had a lot of character but wasn't stuffy - also one that would appeal to our 30 year old son, who was flying in from Texas to surprise my husband on his birthday (the day after we arrived). This property is every bit as wonderful as the images portray it - a visual feast of color, texture, light and sound. Yes, when we arrived there was classical music playing softly in the background, the lights were on and the bar-cart was set up a-la Madmen with scotch and vodka and gin-filled decanters. Jim had left a lot of goodies out for us, including nuts and snacks and cookies, pasta and marinara from Trader Joe's. Because our son was going to arrive at the vacation rental while my husband and I were out, Jim made sure he had a key to key to get in. I remember getting a text from our son after he arrived saying, "This place is awesome!!!" The interior design is so amazing, but there are certain elements that stand out in memory - the paintings by a local artist that remind me of Basquiat, the chandelier above the dining table, the dining table itself (I believe it is a Salterini), the cozy little sun room overlooking big trees, the French settee, the Phillipe Stark ghost chairs and the very well-equipped kitchen. We ate breakfast there every day and every evening we had drinks before and after dinner. The experience of being there as a family was a great birthday gift for my husband - something we all enjoyed immensely.
