You will love this cozy garden level apartment in a prime Capitol Hill location. It is a two-bedroom perfect for 3 guests. One bedroom has a queen-sized bed, and the second bedroom has an extra long twin sleigh bed. A french door leads out to a quaint cobblestone garden that is privately yours to use.
Our building was built in the late 1800s, but we have modernized it for the 21st century guest. The kitchen has new stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. There is HDTV cable, wireless internet, and a washer dryer in the apartment. We have maintained all the charm without any of the hassle.
Just steps from the Capitol South metro, you can access the Smithsonian Museums and Reagan National Airport without ever changing trains. If you prefer to walk, the Library of Congress and U.S. Supreme Court are just two blocks away. The U.S. Capitol is a 5-minute walk. This is the PERFECT location to explore the city.
Washington's historic public market EASTERN MARKET is one stop away on the metro or a 15 minute walk. Don't bother with grocery stores. Buy directly from the farmers and merchants who have worked our beloved market for years.
This is the perfect apartment for a couple traveling with a child, or two friends traveling together who do not want to share a room. Don't take my word for it. Come check us out!
I moved to DC for graduate school and I have been in love with it ever since. I renovated every inch of this 1898 row house as a labor of love. For years, I walked down this street after leaving the Library of Congress. It has been one of my favorite neighborhoods for a long time. I want to share this home with you as well as my deep appreciation for my adopted hometown.
It was clean and had everything we needed. On top of that the location was Awesome and close to the Metro. Dolen was great and very accomodating. In my search for places to stay as close to capitol hill as possible, this was very affordable and we got so much more. I highly recommend!
Perfect location for Walking to the metro or dinner or the Capitol Building.
Good casual dining at Pennsylvania and 3rd Street. More upscale at Pennsylvania and 8th.
We had 3 people in our group, and the unit was the perfect size. The beds as well as living room furniture are comfortable.
Would recommend to anyone. We hope to be able to return sometime soon.
The apartment was as pictured and described. While minimal, it had everything we needed to be comfortable for a short sight-seeing visit to DC. The cable TV did not work and it was inconvenient to be "home" for Dolan to fix it as we wanted to be out seeing the sights. He was responsive to our questions via text, which was nice. We were within an easy walking distance to the capitol's museums and monuments, coffee, and restaurants. You definitely feel like you are in a basement, so "coming home" after a long day of walking several miles and sightseeing was a bit underwhelming. I might splurge on for an above ground apartment next time. Loved the croissants at Pret a Manger and the salads at SweetGreen!
My sons and stayed here last week and loved it ! The little patio was a slice of heaven and since it was 32 degrees, the air conditioner was a life saver ! The very best thing about this apt, besides the location, is Dolan. All enquiries were answered right away; she was a wealth of information and even managed to let us check in early. The Metro to Reagan stops steps from your front door and best pizza (We the Pizza) is just around the corner. Everything is within walking distance and the apartment has all the things you need. We would definitely stay here again Thanks for your hospitality
This place is adorable, in a great location on C street, and has all the comforts of one's own home. The beds are divine and the back patio can't be beat. A million thanks for hosting us - we will be back!
We loved the apartment. It was a nice, neat, very clean, calm space. We found it to be a very comfortable and quiet place to stay. It worked perfect for our 4 day trip to D.C. We walked everywhere or used the close by subway a few times. We walked to dinner most nights, the area felt very safe. Will certainly stay here again if we travel to D.C.
The property is across the street from the Library of Congress, a must-see on any tour. The U.S. Capitol and U.S. Supreme Court are also within a 5-minute walk. The Capitol South metro on the orange/blue line is steps from the front door. Union Station is a 15-minute walk.
