We enjoyed our time at Beaver Creek Lodge. My husband and I were there, with all of our three adult children, one spouse and a boyfriend, to celebrate our son's 30th birthday. The condo was roomy, clean and well appointed . It was perfect for our family and the area is lovely. There was something for everyone!
This was our third time to Beaver Creek and the first time at Beaver Creek Lodge. We found the property to be unbelievably convenient. We have a 3 year old and a 12 year old. We were able to get to the Small World Day Care and to the elevator that takes you up to the lifts in less than 3 minutes.
The condo complex is very eclectic and has a little restaurant with sweets and crepes as well as a restaurant - again really convenient, especially with little ones.
The unit was very large and comfortable. It was well appointed and clean.
This was our third time at Beaver Creek. The first year we stayed in Beaver Creek proper, but had to take a shuttle to the lifts. Last year we stayed at St.James Place and while we were happy, we didn't think it was the perfect fit.
There are a lot of positives about Beaver Creek Village. We loved the location - so close to the escalators that take you up to the lifts and ski school. Our youngest daughter went to the Small World day care, so everything was literally a 2 minute walk.
The condo was extremely spacious, clean and well appointed. With as dry as the weather was, I was especially appreciative of the steam shower in the master bedroom.
The pool is an "indoor / outdoor" pool. As I mentioned, we have a little one, she is 3 and the inside pool is very, very small ( I couldn't find pictures online). The pool was a bit dirty and not very warm. That said, our 12 year old loved being able to swim from inside to outside...
Now on to our 12 year old. The condo was great with the exception of some of the artwork. I likely wouldn't have noticed, but there were several pictures that depicted naked or partially naked women. I am not offended by this, but it did lead to a conversation with our 12 year old - and wanted to give others a heads up.
Overall, I would highly recommend this property and this unit.
The unit 512 was perfect for our weekend wedding. We had 2 couples and an adult child. The unit allowed us all to have our own room and bath. We really enjoyed the common area as well as the kitchen.
The only negative was it took us a while to realize how to open the door and also, we had a Terrible time finding the owner parking. No one at the front desk knew where the parking was.
After having our own home in the BC area for the past 16 years, this was our first time to be actual 'guests'. It could not have been smoother or more welcoming.
The location is as easy as it gets for anyone on vacation in BC. We loved the ease of parking, the spaciousness of the Lodge, and the layout and view of the condo. There were only 2 of us for most of the stay, 3 for a few nights, and we loved the space, the quietness, 2 TV rooms (golf was always on in one!), large kitchen, largest master bath I've ever seen in a condo, and great outdoor deck with views of the mountain.
Definately would return! Definately would recommend!
My family travels to Beaver Creek annually and for the first time we choose to stay in a VRBO property. The Beaver Creek area never disappoints! It is breathtaking and family friendly. We will continue to travel to this sanctuary in Colorado in future years. Unfortunately, our accommodations were not as pleasant. The property itself would have been a good fit for the number of travelers we had but the air conditioning unit was not working while we were there. This made for some very uncomfortable afternoons and evenings, especially for our four small children. In addition, we had requested several items (high chair, pack n play) be waiting for us upon our arrival and they were not. In working with the guest services representative for this property on these issues during our stay, some of the interactions were less than reassuring. The property manager and their team did take the time to listen to our feedback after our stay and made every effort to compensate and apologize for these inconveniences.
