About Shawn Cox
My wife and I live in Austin, Texas. My wife grew up vacationing in Sun Valley and as soon as we visited, I was hooked as well. We love to spend extended summer weeks in Sun Valley to escape the heat of Texas.
Shawn Cox purchased this Townhome in 2014
Why Shawn Cox chose Elkhorn Village
This property is our home away from our home in Texas. While in Sun Valley, we enjoy skiing and ice-skating in the winter and escape the Texas summer heat. This property was one of the few we looked at that truly felt like a home for us.
What makes this Townhome unique
This duplex condo has its own fenced back yard and garage. Sagehill has quick access to the Harker Center (tennis, swimming, playground, gym) as well as the SunValley bus service. It truly feels like a home. Additionally, it offers central airconditioning - although seldom needed or used, it is nice to have. Luxury touches throughout include high-end finishes and heated floors in the bathrooms. We did our best to make this a turnkey 'home away from home' experience for ourselves and our renters.

Superb Sun Valley residence
We have stayed twice now at this Elkhorn residence and will always come back. You can not beat the privacy and serene surroundings it has to offer. The owners make you feel at home and have everything you need to complete your stay. The home captures Sun Valley beyond any other rental we have stayed at. It is the perfect size for our family of 5 and meets all of our needs. It's a quick walk to the community pool and at night you can hear the elk bugling. We get excited every year to come back and it's nice to have owners you know you can trust with your stay. We would recommend this home to anyone!!
Well furnished and appointed condominium
We truly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful condo. The back yard was beautiful with lovely flowers in bloom and nice furniture to relax on. The inside of the condominium was very well appointed with two types of coffee makers, a computer, an Echo, washer dryer and two big bedrooms. The floor in the bathrooms were heated and this is a great feature. The owner was very helpful and friendly. It is in a quiet neighborhood. I would definitely stay here again.
Great experience as a homeowner. So grateful that these renters enjoyed our home as much as we do. Would definitely rent to them again.
Great property in perfect location
We've rented many different properties in the Elkhorn area over the last several years and this is one of the best! It is close to Harker Center but in a quieter section of the area. The kitchen is fully stocked with a diverse selection of utensils, appliances, and spices. The home is nicely decorated and very comfortable. Our family of five really enjoyed the week we spent here.
So grateful that everything met or exceeded expectations and hope to see this renter again!
Delightful home and excellent location!
We stayed one week during the summer and had a wonderful time.
The home is lovely and the appointments, amenities and quality furnishings made it easy to relax and enjoy every moment. We especially liked the large outdoor deck (entertained 3 couples one evening for a BBQ) and fenced yard. Very private yet open feeling with Aspen and evergreen trees.
The Elkhorn Village has it all as well. Swimming, tennis, golf, biking and hiking. Of course everything Sun Valley has to offer is just minutes away and the restaurants keep getting better and better.
Shawn was easy to work with and very helpful. We highly recommend this home and look forward to coming back again.
Sounds like your experience mirrors our reason for buying this place. Thank you and so grateful to hear you had such a great time. Looking forward to having you back, again.
Great location. Super friendly owner!
Glad to have these guests! Thank you!
Lovely town home that felt very spacious. The 2nd bedroom has 2 queen beds and it's own bathroom. That set up is difficult to find. It's a great Elkhorn location with a bus stop right at the end of the block so taking the bus to the slopes was really easy. The owner was accessible to answer questions and very nice to work with.
Sun Valley is a resort city in the western United States, in Blaine County in central Idaho, adjacent to the city of Ketchum and within the greater Wood River valley. The population was 1,406 at the 2010 census, down from 1,427 in 2000. The elevation of Sun Valley (at the Lodge) is 5,920 feet (1,804 m) above sea level. The area is served by Friedman Memorial Airport in Hailey, approximately 15 miles (24 km) south. Visitors to Sun Valley are relatively close to the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, accessed over Galena Summit on Highway 75, the Sawtooth Scenic Byway. Tourists enjoy its skiing, hiking, ice skating, trail riding, tennis, golf and cycling. Few of its residents stay year-round, and most come from major cities like Portland, Oregon, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and more distantly Chicago and New York. Among skiers, the term 'Sun Valley' refers to the alpine ski area, which consists of Bald Mountain, the main ski mountain adjacent to Ketchum, and Dollar Mountain, adjacent to Sun Valley, for novice and lower intermediate skiers. Bald Mountain, or 'Baldy,' has a summit of 9,150 feet (2,789 m) and a vertical drop of 3,400 feet (1,036 m). With its abundance of constant-pitch terrain, at varying degrees of difficulty, coupled with its substantial vertical drop and absence of wind, Baldy has often been referred to as one of the better ski mountains in the world. The treeless 'Dollar' at 6,638 feet (2,023 m) has a moderate vertical drop of 628 feet (191 m). The term 'Sun Valley' is used more generally to speak of the region surrounding the city, including the neighboring city of Ketchum and the valley area winding south to Hailey. The region has been a seasonal home to the rich and famous since first being brought to public attention by Ernest Hemingway in the late 1930s.
