About Melissa Dull

We have been residence of Kalamazoo County all of our lives.

Melissa Dull purchased this house in 10

Why Melissa Dull chose Pavilion

We have enjoyed the lake for many years. Our son has graduated and we want to spend our summers camping and want someone to be able to enjoy our beautiful deck.

What makes this house unique

This property offered the best of both worlds, being on the lake and having the privacy that 2.5 acres affords. There has always been room for the kids to play an impromptu lacrosse game or volleyball. At any time we can jump in the canoe or kayak to fish or just to explore. There is no noisy boat traffic and the only intoxicated people we have to put up with are the ones we invite ourselves.

Wonderful time!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The lake and boat were our favorite part of the trip. The views from the back yard left a lasting impression on our group. The owners went above and beyond to accomadate our needs and wants. I was really impressed with the services they provided us. Great time on sagamau lake!

Overall nice place with plenty of room. Could use a little better upkeep.

  • 3 of 5

The house was plenty large enough for our group and the yard was huge and great for the kids. The lake was very quiet and peaceful, just what we were looking for. We all enjoyed the fire pit area. The 2 fridges were nice for a big group. The pontoon would only start with a jumper pack so hopefully they can get that worked out. A few things could have been kept up a little better but it didn't affect our stay overall. The pontoon had a lot of leftover fishing gear and the area around the garage had a lot of the owners personal items laying around. The train tracks are fairly close. It didn't bother our group but if you are sensitive to this type of thing make sure you are aware. Overall we had fun and it was affordable.

Beautiful, spacious lake house with everything a family/big group could need

  • 5 of 5

We just stayed at the lake house for a long four day weekend and could've stayed there forever---we had the best time! The home was spacious and beautifully decorated. The home has everything you could need--- wifi, two full bathrooms, lots of beds (with clean/fresh sheets for each), two flat screen televisions in the common areas of the house (with a DVD player and dish network), lots of seating/comfy couches and two kitchen areas stocked with lots of utensils and every small appliance you would need (which made prepping our little party a dream).

The property itself was just as great. The grounds were well maintained and clean. The water was beautiful and while we didn't go fishing, there were a couple fishermen out on the lake and the fish seemed to be biting! It was all just so quiet and relaxing. Our favorite things were hanging out by the fire pit and playing yard games---and we were so happy that we could bring our two dogs along!!

The property owners were pleasant and responsive to messages prior to our stay and during our stay. We have only been gone a few hours and are already talking about coming back with a group of friends next year. All in all, this is a great vacation house and would recommend it for a big group of people/big family looking to relax, unwind and enjoy some time away.

Enjoyed our visit to Sagamu Lake

  • 4 of 5

We rented this house for our family of 10 over Labor Day weekend. The layout of the house is great: good communal space outside and in the living room and good separate space, downstairs sleeps 5-6 and upstairs sleeps 6-7. The backyard is very spacious with deck seating and a fire pit on the patio, as well as a big yard. The lake is not one we swam in and fairly small but big enough to canoe/kayak around and fish. Some of the lawn chairs were broken but still a good amount to use. We spent a lot of time outside on the deck/patio and were able to accommodate our whole group comfortably with that space.

The kitchen was well-stocked with plates/utensils and cookware but could use some updates. The sink was leaking a bit. The house was stocked with plenty of towels and sheets, though some of the sheets and blankets were stained.

Overall, we had a positive experience staying here.

Owner's Response: Can you email me which room sheets and blankets were stained so that they can be removed? I have inspected all of the sheets and have not found any stains, all of our sheets are white and bleached each visit so if there is a light stain or discoloration it is not showing up. I am not sure which blankets you are referring too...the bedspreads? Those are all new this year. Please let me know if you can so that we can make sure that we address it accordingly.

Very relaxing

  • 4 of 5

The place was very relaxing boat had a few problems but owner was more then happy to come by and help us out with all our questions. Wild life in area was nice to check out and will say our bedroom had one of the most comfortable beds around with windows opened up woke up everyday feeling refreshed. Would recommend to anyone whom likes to fish and needs space as we had plenty of it in this house....

Nice place. Photos were a little deceiving.

  • 3 of 5

This is a nice place to stay. Need's to have a little TLC time spent on it. Lots of spider webs everywhere in the house - On ceiling fans, in corners between walls and table, above bunk beds. Could use new mattresses. Everyone couldn't wait to get home to our own beds. Very uncomfortable beds!!! Thought there was central air but only had a/c in the bedrooms (window units). The kitchen was really hot when cooking and there is no vent to relieve the heat. Otherwise we were pleased with our stay. This was our first time using VRBO. I will defiantly investigate more before booking again. Only reason I said "I loved it" when asking if it enjoyed my stay was because, I wouldn't say "not really". I feel it was more like in between.

Owner's Response: The photos are exact photos of the house and lake. We have a 3 day opening in which we will have the cleaners pay special attention to corners and windows. We have several new mattresses on our beds, granted twin beds are not the most comfortable for adults and are provided mostly for the children. The website does state that the A/C are window units in the bedrooms, the way it is displayed is not something that can be changed. July tends to be the only month where the the heat is an issue. In the future I would suggest you be honest with the home owner when asked so that your issues can be addressed.
