We stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed it! The place is really neat!! We loved the sun room & the path down to the little stream. We sat on the porch & watched the chipmunks, built a little fire & chatted. It was very peaceful. There were games to play in the cabin & it was just very homey! The only negative is very small in my opinion....some of the pots & pans are in pretty bad shape (we planned on cooking breakfast but cooking eggs in pans with all the teflon coming off didn't seem appealing....we went to the Buttered Biscuit one day & the Mountaineer another and both places were really good!!!) I'm not complaining! We did cook dinner one night and did just fine. Just thought I'd mention it for those who may be saving money by cooking all your meals there or for those who just LOVE to cook all your meals. I'd totally go back to this place again and just bring a skillet or two with me! Other than that, there were plenty of dishes for all 7 of us & the kitchen is right off the sun room so it made cooking enjoyable. Wish I had that set up at home :)
The location was good and not to far from the main road and in a private setting which we like. The sun room was very nice to sit back and relax in and the wifi worked great. There was plenty of pots & pans, etc. if you have a larger crowd to entertain. Grilling out on the back deck surrounded by the mountain's was great along with the sound of the stream in the near distance. Look forward to coming back!!
View is good and the creek behind is soothing. You can hear it when you open the windows on back sun porch which is awesome. Lots of light. The seclusion of the cabin seems like you are far away from everything but just a short drive to lots of great sites. Would rent again.
The cabin was perfect for our family of 7. We really enjoyed having the fireplace and all of the peace and quiet. The TV was perfect for watching our most favorite football bowl game. The owner of the property was quick to respond to any questions we had.
Great place for a vacation.
My family of 6 spent a wonderful Labor Day weekend at the Cabin. The location will make you feel miles away from everyone. Ample rockers and an awesome Eno hammock on the front porch make you never want to leave. Located close to the Blue Ridge Parkway & the Great Smoky Mountains and within minutes of awesome dining and shops. The cabin was exceptionally clean and furnished so that we didn't need anything during our stay but Kevin was super thorough with instructions and quick to respond to questions before our arrival. We would not hesitate to book again! Thank You!
Awesome peaceful location!!! I loved listening & watching nature while sitting on the front porch! Exploring the property with my 2-yr old granddaughter was such a delight. The cabin renovations mixes a little new with the rustic, which I found very appealing. Each trip down the mountain was an exciting new adventure to a new destination... restaurants, shops, roadside markets, local breweries, etc., etc., etc. I'm looking forward to future visits to just "relax" and/or adventure out in the surrounding areas!!!
