Having just completed a fabulous remodel, the home has a fresh new open and upscale feel with all new Bathrooms, Bedrooms, Living Room furnishings and more! The Kitchen is bright and well-equipped for preparing meals effortlessly, with all new dishes, serving pieces, and cookware. The Media Room is a sunny space adjacent to the Living Room. A sofa sleeper here adds additional sleeping options for overflow guests. With French doors of clear paned glass, this room can also be closed off to offer alternate television viewing choices from the Living Room while still making it possible to keep tabs on activities there.
The bright Master Suite has a king-size bed, walk in closet, and faces the backyard. The attached Master Bathroom of Carrara marble and large glass shower feels luxurious and well suited for a vacationing couple to feel pampered.
The second Bedroom is near the laundry and is perfect for the kids or teens with two twin beds and a full Bathroom with large glass shower of white subway tile.
The third Bedroom with king -size bed faces the front of the house. The freshly remodeled hallway Bathroom has the convenience of 2 sinks set in Carrara marble and a seated vanity. The fourth Bedroom in black and white also offers a king-size bed making this home perfect for 3 adult couples to each have their own luxurious accommodations.

We were in California for a wedding and this home was EXACTLY what we needed and hoped for, the location was great - three minute bike ride to the beach with the available bikes, short walk to Jeanine's for wonderful breakfast pastries, exactly as described, can't wait to return :o)
The home is located in a great area of Montecito - so close to the beach and 5 minutes away from restaurants and shopping on the main strip.
The kitchen has been nicely redone and the beds are comfortable.
I think the property is a great value for how many it can sleep and the area it is in. You can hear the freeway at night but the noise of a fan is enough to drown the sound out.
We would stay here again :)
We loved the house for its open plan spaciousness, décor and proximity to the beach and local restaurants. The house is well equipped and nicely furnished. As Santa Barbara is only about 4 miles away, we could use the bikes to get there and back as well as drive when we wanted. Summerland and Carpinteria are also with easy reach. Out back there's a well good hot tub along with BBQ, table tennis and patio set. In the garage are beach chairs, boogie boards plus the bikes. The house has 3 flat screen TVs (only the master bedroom has one - the others are in the main room and the "media" room) and wifi. There's a stereo system we could plug the iPod into. Kitchen has all the appliances and laundry room helped too. Pretty good all round really.
Perfect house and location for our family - open plan with plenty of room for play and eating
We stayed at this house on Memorial Day weekend with three families (6 adults, 4 small kids). We stayed for three nights, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The house is not cheap by comparison to other options, but in the end I felt that the location, amount of space, and features made it a good value.
My biggest concern before arriving was the proximity to the highway, and therefore noise, but I mostly found that it wasn't an issue. To be clear: you can definitely hear a low hum of cars driving by at pretty much all hours, but it wasn't loud or disruptive enough that any of us seemed to mind. There are also white noise machines in all of the bedrooms, but we didn't use them.
The neighborhood is very upscale - Montecito is definitely one of the nicest neighborhoods in Santa Barbara, and the house fits in pretty well with the area. It's a 5-10 minute walk down to the beach, which is a narrow strip of sand (maybe 50 feet wide) between the water and a sea wall. It was a little chilly in the water in May, but not too bad. If you leave the house an go north (away from the water), there's a small business district just a few hundred yards away with some restaurants and shops. The nearest supermarket is a 15-20 minute walk (or a very short drive).
The house itself is in really well-restored condition. It's an Eichler, so there is tons of natural light, and lots of open space. The bedrooms were all decently-sized, and the beds are comfy. The kitchen is really pretty excellent. New, high-end appliances, and very well-stocked with equipment. We used the gas grill in the yard, and the hot tub, and everything was in great shape and working order.
The process of reserving the house, signing the contract, paying for the deposit and later having it returned was all very seamless. I remember thinking that the deposit was really expensive ($2k for 3 days), but they have a nice house on their hands, and I guess that's life.
I would highly recommend this house to anyone who's trying to get a decently large group together, and who wants to be walking-distance from the beach.
This was our first trip to Santa Barbara and we felt lucky to have happened upon such a great location. The kitchen and baths have been meticulously renovated. The kitchen is a dream with a bank of windows overlooking the newly landscaped front, carrara marble countertops, stainless steel appliances, fireclay farm sink, lots of white dinnerware and plenty of serving dishes, glasses and flatware for a small party. We loved the open concept kitchen, dining and living that lead out to the back garden with a ping pong table, spa, and lush landscaping. The dining room has a farm table with 6 mid century chairs and an oversized industrial chrome shelving unit full of more servingware. The living area has a large flat screen tv and a sofa we called the pit because it was so comfortable that once we fell into it we didn't want to get out. There were plenty of books and games available. Off of the main room was another fun den with a tv which would be perfect for kids to have their own space. The bathrooms have all been recently redone with top of the line plumbing (Rohl and Kohler), carrara marble tops, basketweave tile on the floor and white subway tile on the walls. The host provided plenty of plush white towels as well as shampoo, soap and conditioner in all the baths. Parking is a breeze. Previous reveiwers have complained about the freeway noise and yes, this house does back up to the 101 but that is also what makes it so quick and easy to explore the area. Our first night we enjoyed dinner at San Ysidro Ranch then got up in the morning and walked over to a coffee shop two blocks away. We then walked along the beach into Santa Barbara for the art fair that seems to happen every Sunday. On our walk back we ate at the Bath house. We spent the rest of the day enjoying drinks on the back patio with a few games of ping pong before heading out to the Funk Zone for dinner. One of our days we drove thirty minutes into Santa Ynez for a lovely bike tour through the vineyards, lavender farms and olive groves- a must do day trip. We loved the village of Montecito and recommend getting fresh cold pressed juice at the juice shop on Coastal Village and if you are an ice cream lover then Rori's should not be missed. We finished our trip with breakfast at Jeanine's and even though the day we went their griddle was broken we managed to find plenty of delicious options and even took some bakery items with us to have on the plane.
