The Mesa, where this home is located, is a friendly area of Santa Barbara that sits above the blue coastal waters surrounding the Channel Islands in the distance. Shoreline Retreat is a large and versatile home that is well-suited for multiple families, business retreats, or just a great spot to be close to all the wonderful coastal activities nearby.
This 8 Bedroom 5.5 Bathroom home will easily accommodate a large group with plenty of space and privacy for everyone. The location is ideal for a coastal escape with many nearby options for fun and relaxation - perfectly situated to allow easy access to the best of Santa Barbara.
The Living Room with sectional sofa and TV offers a large space for the group to gather and discuss plans for the day. French doors open to the the front yard where an above ground spa is located behind privacy hedges. The adjacent Kitchen is well-stocked with plenty of cookware and dishes, and offers both an informal banquette and table dining for eight guests.
Off the Kitchen is the Media Room with doors to the enclosed back patio. With an attached Bedroom and Bathroom, the spacious accommodations are perfect for a couple, or small family, to have a place of their own. The backyard brick patio features an outdoor dining table and chaise lounges.
Upstairs, there are five Bedrooms, two Hall Bathrooms, and a second laundry. The Master Bedroom with king-size bed is large and has ocean views. Next door is a Bedroom featuring 2 twin beds, and across the hall is another Bedroom with queen-size bed. A flexible room sleeps up to four people with a queen-size bed and twin bed with trundle. Even the baby in the bunch will have a special spot in a room that also features an additional day bed with twin trundle. The final sleeping accommodations on the second floor is another Master Bedroom with ocean views, queen-size bed, and attached Bathroom, that is also open to the hallway for guest use.
Winding stairs lead to the 3rd story roof-top deck where stunning ocean views await. Whether happy hour at sunset, or morning coffee shared with the blazing sunrise, guests will feel on top of the world.
Take care of business easily with the free high speed Internet access, free unlimited US phone and fax, and use of the all-in-one printer/fax/copier/scanner.
The nearby Mesa retail area (5-minute walk or 1-minute drive) offers plenty of grocery shopping options. Popular with locals is the open air Mesa Produce Market, or enjoy grazing and tasting samples of local faire at Lazy Acres Market - they have a great bakery!! There are also numerous coffee shops (including Starbucks), a pharmacy, and a wonderful variety of ethnic eateries - cuisines include Mexican, Chinese, Thai, Peruvian, California, Pizza, Burgers, and more). Downtown Santa Barbara, with its energy and excitement, is an easy 5-minute drive away.
A nearby park offers a children's playground, expansive grass area for picnics or kite flying, and wide sidewalks for miles of strolling by the sea.

Christmas Weeks (Dec 19 - 26 & Dec 26 - Jan 2)
7-Night minimum (in the fixed weeks above) for all bookings made before Nov 1st.

Stays of less than 30 nights are subject to a 12% Lodging Tax + $2/night Tourism Tax.

Great stay. House easily accommodated 10 adults and 2 children. Kitchen layout is awesome to promote family interaction. Here to celebrate multiple birthdays and a retirement. Memories for many lifetimes. Super facility.
We were in town for our son's 2nd wedding reception as our daughter in law is a native Santa Barbara girl! We had 16 Texans that stayed in the house! What a wonderful time and we could not have picked a better location! The house was amazing and the booking procedure was very easy! I would highly recommend this location!
We loved the house. We had 5 families staying there SO comfortably. The kitchen was fantastically stocked and the beds and linens were so comfortable. The only downsides were a few low flow toilets and odd showers. Great proximity to the beach and parks. The hot tub was great.

We had multiple families with kids coming together in this fabulous house. There was plenty of room, excellent accommodations, and spacious enough for each family to feel comfortable. The house was clean and well appointed. Paradise retreats was responsive and helpful. The house was walking distance from two different parks, beaches, sunsets and close to everything in SB, including grocery stores, restaurants and the harbor. Would definitely recommend this house for a big group!
Eight of us came from Colorado to run the Santa Barbara half marathon. This property was perfect for our large group, with a separate bedroom for each person. The location was perfect, and the house was directly on the race course!
We came to Santa Barbara to have a family reunion prior to attending a wedding at a ranch. This house was a perfect spot for our family from all over the world, ages ranging between 1 and 69. There was more than enough room to comfortably house everyone. The house was well stocked with almost everything that you could need to have a beach stay, and cooking all meals at home. There were even sand toys and beach accessories we could borrow to use. There's ample parking. The house was clean (though by my ultra clean family's standards, a bit sticky). When we first arrived, the garbage was piled high, so attracted birds, flies and ants, and despite the fact that garbage day was the following day, the property manager immediately sent someone to remove it! The groundskeepers were lovely, and told us about the lemon and avocado trees on the property. We were able to take advantage of the parks and beaches nearby, as well as the proximity to groceries, coffee shops, and the zoo. There wasn't anything that we could really think about that we could want beyond what was graciously provided.
