Tucked away on a quiet cul-de-sac, sits this lovely vacation home on the Northside. A short walk to neighborhood association beach on Sheep Pond, this home has everything you could need for your Cape vacation. Open layout living / dining / kitchen. Air conditioning. 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 full baths. (Queen, full, 2 twins, and 1 twin trundle). Outdoor shower. Patio and a large yard. As the house is located at the end of the cul-de-sac, there is a safe paved area for little ones to practice their biking skills. Salt water beaches, the bike trail, Captains Golf Course, and Nickerson State Park are all a short drive away.

We are in love with the house. A perfect get-away for peace and quiet! The spacious, private backyard is a gem – ideal for soaking in the sun, reading a book or simply taking a snooze. The patio provides space for outdoor dining and grilling; we almost never cook indoors during the summer months.
A short walk from the house will bring you to Sheep Pond. Swimming, jumping from the dock and other water activities in the pond, and picnic on the sandy beach are a family favorite.
Layout was perfect for us--- we were two couples with young children. Very nice bathrooms and washer dryer. The outdoor shower was awesome for beach days. Loved sheep pond for the kids (and the adults) so warm and clean. We overall had a great stay--- air conditioners in each room were nice. A pack and play and portable high chair provided saved us from having to pack them. We grilled and sat outside couple times. We had trouble with wifi one day but I believe it was a Comcast problem (nothing to do with the house). We used summer sitters babysitting service for an evening out and had a great experience!!! Thanks again
We had a nice stay at the house. The kitchen and living room have a nice open space which was nice for making dinners and visiting with friends. The kitchen utensils were good and the knives were sharp. It would have been nice to have some coffee filters for the coffee maker stocked at the house since we got in late in the evening. Also, the house needs a lobster pot. A lobster dinner is an important part of a Cape Cod vacation:)
The backyard grill was clean and in good working condition and the gas tank was full. The outdoor shower was also nice to use.
Overall the house was clean but there were a few surfaces like windowsills and refrigerator top that needed some extra attention.
The beds were firm and comfortable. It would have been nice to have access to the closet in the master bedroom to hang some clothes. The only storage available was a dresser.
Access to the pond with the car pass was nice when the weather was warm and the pond is great for a swim or a paddle. We rented bikes and were only about a mile from the Cape Cod Bike Trail so we were able to get in some good bike rides. Shaw's market and the Shop and Save were both only about 10 minutes away. We enjoyed going to Sesuit Harbor for a lobster roll and a trip to Provincetown took about 45 minutes.

I would recommend the house for anyone wanting to be centrally located on the Cape and I hope to return next year.
We all (6 adults) thought the interior was just what we expected and worked just fine. Nice colors, couches, open floor plan, furniture, kitchen and baths. The cleanliness of some areas needed work. We spent a couple hours cleaning the kitchen back splash, cabinet fronts, top of fridge, screens and window(kitchen and one bedroom), as well as the slider door(screen needs repair). The closet in the master bedroom is locked which could be an issue, we were flexible.
The exterior needs some TLC. The outside shower and grill were great, but we avoided the patio and beach chairs(need to be thrown out). My sister rents her house and feels the owners are responsible for the overall cleanliness of windows, screens, patio, exterior not the cleaning people, and I would agree. The exterior need a good spring cleaning. We tried to design a deck around that beautiful tree in the backyard to cover the root system....
The location is great, very quiet neighborhood and access to the pond a bonus.
This property was in an ideal location for us and having the pass to take our grandson's fishing at Sheep Pond was a big plus. The open floor plan was terrific, as were the up to date bathrooms and fairly up to date kitchen (more about that below). The yard was not well cared for with the lawn needing to be mowed, a messy patio area with planters with dead plants/weeds and just not very well groomed at all. A real turnoff. The sidewalk to the front door was bordered with very uneven railroad ties and just asking for someone to trip and fall. The windows needed a good washing and when we used the dishwasher for the first time, it didn't work. The realtor promptly called a repairman but it was not repairable so we ended up washing dishes. Because it was the weekend, they could not get a new dishwasher installed. Not the end of the world, but not what we paid for. The owner is giving us some refund because of that. The vent for the oven was extremely greasy and dirty, as was the inside of the oven......it desperately needed to be cleaned as did the coffee pot filter area. Not what one would expect when renting a vacation home. In general, the house was not as clean as one would expect for a vacation rental.
My husband would give this rental an F, I would say a D and if the above things are tended to, for sure it would be an A as far as I am concerned. For what we were paying, we were disappointed, but all those things can easily be remedied. Cape Cod also is prone to mold in damp areas and there was a little of that around bathroom sink drain and toilet rim....also easily corrected. It just needed better cleaning people, I think. I should have also mentioned that the TV was working well and we found the remote needed new batteries which we purchased and replaced...also the clock on wall stopped and we had to replace those batteries too.

HomeAway charges a Service Fee for paying online. There is no Service Fee if you pay by check.
You can either purchase Property Damage Protection OR pay a $500 refundable Damage Deposit by separate check that is cashed only if necessary. The Damage Deposit is returned or refunded (as applicable) provided the entire property (inside and out) is left in satisfactory condition. Tenants are expected to pick up after themselves (including any trash or debris outside). Tenants are not expected to vacuum or scrub down the kitchen and bathrooms. There are instructions at the house about what to do before you leave.
