My visit to Philly was work related, but decided to try a houseboat instead of a local hotel. I highly recommend the Pisces for business, friends or family. I was more than comfortable and felt very safe.I had no worries utilizing public transit and learned a lot about Philly. I hope to come back again with my family. Kids would love it!
This houseboat was great! It is in a quiet location with a very friendly community. Although a quiet spot - the hustle and bustle of the city is only minutes away. Very clean. I definitely recommend this property!
This was our 4-5 th sleep a float trip to Philly.. The other times was on another boat that is no longer in service.. The boat is close to everything in Old town Philly .. Museums ,restaurants, parks, waterfront, I always take my son to a Phillies baseball game for his birthday... This time with the heat index being 110 everyday it made it impossible to even take our dogs for any kind of long walks.. The boat has everything you need , the only small complaint was the the Internet wifi is either very slow or at times did not work.. Overall we loved everything and would love to come back again
Our family of 6 stayed here last weekend. We were left wanting for nothing! :)
The marina is a lovely place with friendly people. Parking was only a short walk away and adjacent to an awesome park with Franklins ice cream, roller skating, cornhole, pool tables, hammocks and a couple of restaurants and food trucks.
The walk to the monuments/museums was not far at all! Even the 10 yr old didn't complain. ;)
We girls did get a bit sea sick, but we got some motion sickness pills and took them. It lessened the effect greatly.
We would totally go back...and this time we would bring the fishing poles to fish from the docks (catch and release).
Book it and enjoy!
My husband and I were attending a wedding in Philadelphia and were lucky to find this unique listing. The views of the marina and bridge were beautiful and it was within walking distance to the most important historic areas and romantic restaurants. The boat was fully equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay , and the gentle movement of the boat rocked us to sleep each night. Jack the boat's caretaker was especially helpful and thoughtful.
Houseboat was clean & fully stocked. Care taker Jack was great. Showing how to work the boat and where the local restaurants and pubs where located. Easy walking distance to all Historical sites. We are going to check out other stay afloat locations :)
Our family of three just returned from four days on the houseboat. We all agreed that we would stay here again. The proximity to the Visitors' Center and the historic sights was great. Our biggest problem was finding the place initially: if you stay here, park on the street at La Veranda Restaurant, and go through the arch just to the left of the restaurant to get to the marina's entrance. After unloading, parking is across the street at the Holiday Inn Express. Follow the caretaker's advice and use the nearby toilets at the marina for anything "significant." This is a minor price to pay for the great location.
Betsy Ross House
