Pelican Cottage is a small, cute and cozy cottage built behind and attached to our garage. It is part of a residential property in a residential neighborhood. You share the driveway parking with us. Our back yard is on the other side of the fence. It is private and quiet and most times you will not even see us. However, it is our home and occasionally, you may find us working in the yard or mowing grass or fixing the brakes on the car. We are not a commercial conglomerate. We offer Pelican Cottage as a comfortable, homey alternative to the sterile and limited facilities of hotels or motel rooms.
We transplanted ourselves to Tarpon Springs after spending 28 years moving hither and yon in support of Jerry's Naval career. Jerry is working part time as a Consultant and Kerrie is a whimsical artist. Our children are grown and on their own. We have substituted them with Brinkley, a yellow Lab 2-year-old and Lily, a 7-year-old Basset Hound. We love taking our pontoon boat, Elvis, out for cruises and spending wonderful afternoons on one of the deserted Gulf Coast beaches.
Kerrie Godding purchased this cottage in 2009
Pelican Cottage is smack dab in the middle of all that goes on in Tarpon Springs. Walking, we are 6 minutes to downtown Tarpon Avenue, 6 minutes to the Sponge Docks, 6 minutes to the Pinellas Trail. We are a couple of blocks from Spring Bayou - a beautiful place to walk ringed with a sidewalk and ending in Craig Park. Our Tarpon Springs Beaches are 5 minutes by car. So many things go on in Tarpon all the time. You can do as much or as little as you'd like.

We were greeted upon arrival; Jerry explained the cottage details, provided a map of Tarpon Springs, and described points of interest. We enjoyed the sponge docks, the historic downtown area, the two public beaches, and the wonderful Greek people and their food. And Maisie Love enjoyed the fenced back yard. The cottage was exactly what we expected and Tarpon Springs was too! We recommend this three day visit to anyone.
A cute cottage, well furnished and with great facilities, set in the owners grounds but with excellent privacy. Comfortable, chilled, cozy, pretty, with beautiful touches. Fantastic location, so close to the Spring Bayou and the sponge docks. Kerrie and Jerry were so welcoming, helpful and keen to ensure my stay met my expectations. It exceeded them! Thank you :-)
This was a very nice experience, perfect place to be away from work in a very nice neighborhood. We both were in need of a relaxing time even with the dogs. The place was very clean and Kerrie was very attentive, we are planning to go back again next year.

The cottage was perfect for my family of 4 plus 2 dogs. My boys appreciated having a room of their own and we appreciated a little privacy too. It was great being able to keep up with our laundry and cook a few meals at the cottage. My husband and I ran the Pinellas Trail almost every morning! Our youngest dog fell in love with Jerry and Kerrie's pup Brinkley. They were often caught kissing at the fence! Jerry and Kerrie were amazing hosts and made sure we had a spectacular stay. One of the highlights was spending time on Elvis with them. They had great recommendations for places to swim, eat, and just have fun. We look forward to staying again!!
Pelican Cottage is a wonderful find. It had everything one would need for a wonderful stay in Tarpon Springs, FL. We have children living in the area so it was nice to have our own place to come back to and relax. The information package on places to eat and see was wonderful. We have visited the area many times, we found new places to eat, especially Miss Vicki's. The kitchen a small area very well equipped with everything you need. The shower was awesome, towels plush. I would recommend Pelican Cottage to anyone needing a place to stay in the area. Kerrie & Jerry were wonderful hosts. When we arrived we had snacks and wine waiting. We didn't have the opportunity to use the bikes but they would have been a wonderful way to travel to the sponge docks. We would definitely stay again.
The best part of the Pelican Cottage is that it's exactly as represented. It's clean & comfortable with everything one could need for a fun visit. We arrived day & a half before Tropical Storm Colin! The area just got rain but enough to stop us from being out the last part of our stay. Kerrie & Jerry have put lots of extras in the cottage so we were entertained even being Cottage bound. Our Pekingese Bud enjoyed his visit too.
Kerrie & Jerry are so nice you feel like they are old friends.
There is so much to see and do in Tarpon Springs and the best Greek food & Bakeries ever that we can't wait to go back and stay at Pelican Cottage again.
The restaurants we tried & liked were, Hellas, Mr. Souvlaki, Dimitri's on the Water & National Bakery.
We visited St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and it's breath taking, even the ceilings are painted & the stained glass windows are amazing, worth seeing.
Also stop by Antonia's Boutique & Gifts on the Sponge Docks. Joe & his brother are two of the nicest guys You will ever meet & their shop carries beautiful things plus the have a section that carries items from Greece.
Pelican Cottage has 2, one speed, coast style brake bicycles for your use. We are located 5 minutes from the Pinellas Trail, a biking, walking trail that snakes from one end of Pinellas County to the other - over 50 miles.
