7BR Kaiku is the most exceptional private estate in Cayman Kai near the much loved and very popular Rum Point Club. The 5BR main Villa and 2BR Guesthouse are bordered by a sixteen-foot fishtail palm privacy hedge, electric gate and vacant lots on either side; meaning that a stay at Kaiku one of utmost privacy. The house is not visible from the road or gate. Gardener watches after the beach and gardens M-W-F and is available for helping guests as well.

This luxurious 7BR/6.5BA estate is a perfect getaway for a very large family or six adult couples. The estate has a sizable ocean front pool (heated in winter), heated spa, large private dock, and a screened porch featuring a second large dining table and furnished conversation group with a glass wall which opens to connect to the spacious interior. Kaiku features THE BEST landscaped estate of any rental villa. Those who have visited the Hawaiian Islands will feel right at home.

The main 5BR (plus Nursery) house features clean , airy architecture, plenty of large windows, a modern kitchen with gas cooktop, 2 washers and 2 dryers, 2 refrigerators , Wifi, 5 flat screen TV's with HD (Weststar), central A/C, security system with exterior cameras, interior/exterior sound system and lighting system.

The 2BR/2BA guest house is beautifully furnished with a wall of glass along the living room and kitchen which looks out to the garden, pool and bay. It has WiFi, central A/C, flat screen TV and washer and dryer. Owner offers a lower rate in low season for smaller families not needing the guesthouse.

The grounds of the estate have evening illumination that rivals that of Disneyland with fire torches on beach. The property is taken care of by a groundskeeper.

The large pool deck has a cabana as well as outdoor built in BBQ with sink, fridge and ice maker.

One of Kaiku's best features is the exceptionally large private dock and four floating jet ski berths. If you rent a boat or jet skis, you can moor just behind the house/or if you arrange a chartered sail you can simply be picked up from your own private beach! No trips to the public docks necessary. The beach and calm cove is ideal for a rented Hobie cat as well.

If you can pull yourself away from the beautiful property, Rum Point is just down the street so guests can easily pop out for water sports, snorkel trips, jet ski rentals, drinks, lunch or dinner. The Kaibo Yacht Club and restaurants are also only a short walk away. No Weddings or Events with invited guests.

Spectacular Home on Grand Cayman!!!

We recently spent a week on Grand Cayman at a spectacular property called Kaiku. We had a large family group – 10 adults and 5 children – and this home was perfect in every way. It is the only time I have ever felt that the photographs posted on line do not do it justice – it’s even better than it looks on the internet! The furnishings are top quality, the kitchen has every conceivable appliance, and the floor plan of the home makes it a great venue for visiting…but also there are enough places where if someone wants to go off and read a book, they have a peaceful place to do so. The pool area is fabulous – as is the private beach. We rented paddleboards and a kayak from Empty Suitcases (highly recommended – they have everything you need in top condition and are fairly priced and very reliable) and it was great having them as the bay is calm and perfect for such activities. The privacy this property provides is fantastic – you never see another person unless they are out on the water on a kayak, etc. The landscaping is beautifully maintained – a very friendly gentleman comes 3 days a week and spends almost the entire day raking the beach, picking up fallen palm fronds, etc. In short, the house and property are meticulously maintained Finally, Judy is the house manager and she lives a minute away – she was very responsive to any of our needs and made lots of good suggestions for things to do, etc. We can’t wait to go back! Finally, I would also give high marks to Jim Leavitt and his staff at Grand Cayman Villas & Condos. He spent a good deal of time with me listening to our needs as a family, made several suggestions, and then determined that Kaiku was the place for us. He was so right. If you need something smaller, work with Jim – he knows the properties and can put you in the right place.

The entire island is only 22 miles wide from west to east; so you are never too far from anywhere on Grand Cayman. The cove-front homes in “Cayman Kai” (within Rum Point) offer calm serene water for docking a rental boat, permitting charter captain pick-up or just safe shallow water for little children. Adults won’t swim in the cove (rum point is too nice by comparison) —the water is shallow and has a softer bottom and there is no reef here for fish life...but we do see the occasional turtle, eagle ray or tarpon swim by in the shallows!

The beaches are flat white barefoot sand. There is usually little breeze here to speak of. Many homes in Cayman Kai offer a screened porch. The big draw to this area is the proximity to the “Rum Point Club”; a public beach club that offers a fantastic barefoot beach…many watersports, a restaurant, bar, grill, gift shop and pick-up beach volleyball games. ( It is from the Rum Point pier that the 65’ catamaran departs to stingray sandbar for snorkeling trips.

Also near Rum Point is the Kaibo Yacht Club restaurant, bar and marina ( Just a great neighborhood dotted with million-dollar oceanfront villas.

Lastly…about 20 minutes east we have (2) large resorts in the east end ( and ) that offer manicured beaches as well as restaurants, a modern grocery store, liquor store, gift shops, SUBWAY sandwich shop (and even a pizza shop). These two resorts also offer scuba, snorkel trips, jet skis, windsurfers, kiteboarding, ocean front pools and bar service. and offer snorkeling tours, paddle boards, jet skis, etc.
