Bumpass Cabin Rental Photos and Description

5 Bedroom, 4.5 Bath Lake Anna Waterfront Bliss

Come and enjoy the Holiday season at our pre-decorated Log Cabin on Lake Anna!

That’s right – don’t worry about decorating your home and instead come and enjoy ours! Bring your family and presents and enjoy the 12’ Christmas tree in the great room. Take advantage of the fireplace and the 5 bedroom 4.5 bath log cabin - there is something special about the warmth of a fire next to a beautifully decorated Christmas tree in a cabin at the lake. Revel in the peaceful tranquility of the water, watch birds, ducks, and many of the other wonders of nature from the boathouse screen room or the deck on the water. There’s also great fishing off the dock...catch bass, catfish, blue gill, etc.! Enjoy the beautiful water views from any room in the house. Read a book or watch the lake by the ‘wall of glass’ from within the house. Take advantage of very modern features including a gourmet granite countertop kitchen, dual sinks, glass cook surface, dual oven, and take advantage of the insta-hot water system for that ‘on demand’ hot cup of coffee, tea, or cocoa. And certainly enjoy a summertime favorite with some great gas grill BBQ’ing on the deck right outside the kitchen door. Create memories and stories that will be enjoyed for generations to come. Play a game of 8-ball or table tennis (ping pong) and create your very own family ‘game’ tournaments to see who has bragging rights at the end of your wonderful family vacation. Enjoy wireless Internet, play games on the Wii, or watch a show using the DVD or DirecTV on the 70” screen in the living room. We are on the ‘private’ side of Lake Anna also known as the “hot or warm side” of the lake. A boat launch in the HOA common area, a mere few hundred feet away from the house, is available for your use if you wish to bring your boat and go on the water for a cruise. Weather permitting, you will find that the water temperatures on the warm side of the lake are suitable for boating nearly the whole year.

Great cabin for any occasion

  • 4 of 5

Great cabin for any occasion....especially for Thanksgiving or Christmas. The cabin was decorated for Christmas. Terrific view. The owner was especially accommodating by answering all my questions and meeting us on arrival to show the workings of the cabin. Accommodations especially good if you have little ones with (2) rooms with bunk beds. Only an hour from Charlottesville.....Carter Mountain Orchard and King's Vineyard.

100% would stay here again! Tom is the best

  • 5 of 5

This was such a wonderful experience! Tom was super attentive at every turn, and the house is absolutely beautiful. The kitchen is well-equipped and great for cooking with a big group. Appreciated that there are adequate bathrooms for the number of people the house sleeps--didn't have to crowd in anywhere. Beautiful views out of all the windows and from the deck and boat dock. Near some nice wineries (recommend Cooper Vineyards) and Lake Anna State Park has some low-key, woodsy trails. Looking forward to staying here again!

Absolutely Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Tom, first off, is a wonderful person to work with! He answered all of my calls right away, texted me when needed and was extremely friendly and just a nice person all around. When we arrived to the house we couldn't believe how beautiful it was! The pictures on here don't do it justice. The living room window is just breathtaking. We all could have just sat there and looked outside all day. The appliances and overall appeal to the house is like something out of a magazine. It was the best rental I have ever had and highly recommend it to anyone. Not only because the house is so wonderful, but also because Tom is great and that makes renting that much better. Can not thank Tom enough for the wonderful experience. We will be coming back for sure!

Owner's Response: Thanks Jessie for such a wonderful and kind review! As you mentioned about being available to you – my goal is to be just that – to work to always be available to answer questions and be ready to assist you in any way I can, be it leading up to your getaway, during your stay, and even after you leave. You mention that part of the vacation rental process is not only finding the perfect house, but just as important is having a manager/owner available to you. If you don’t have the latter, an expected ‘great’ vacation can be potentially soured; I do not want that to happen to anyone, and that’s why I’m here - - to serve you and help make your stay positive and memorable! Thanks also for making note of the great views of the water from the living room, the appliances we have in the cabin, and the appeal the house has giving you comfort when entering! Hope you all get to come back – maybe for another birthday!! I’d welcome you! --Tom

LOVED IT!!!!

  • 5 of 5

The house looked exactly like the pictures and was clean and had everything we could ask for and more. There was nine of us, our two married daughters and five grandchildren aged 12, 121/2, 10, 9, and 5 (three boys, 2 girls)

We thought that because it was October the children wouldn't be able to go swimming in the lake, but we had beautiful weather.

They went fishing every day, swimming in the lake and we also were able to rent a patio boat one day. The house was beautiful

and had everything we needed from towels and linens to pots, pans, etc. There was a pool table, which was a hit with everyone.

We sunbathed on the deck and made s'mores at night. Tom, the owner, was available if we needed anything. We would definitely

recommend this vacation home to our friends and relatives.

Owner's Response: Thanks Tom! I’m super glad you all enjoyed our Cabin! Also am glad you were able to enjoy the fall time at Lake Anna and still be able to swim, go fishing, and enjoy the lake by boat! Thanks also for making note of the cabin amenities – my goal is to make your stay relaxing and stress free – and by providing all of the things you mentioned, I feel that gives you as a vacationer a few less things to worry about. I hope you all get a chance to come back – you would be more than welcome! --Tom
