Enjoy this beautiful log cabin with your family this spring, summer or fall. Feel like you are a truly a part of nature with the panoramic view of nature with 3 huge windows facing the outside landscaping. There are not any curtains in the living room, so you have a full view of the the beauty that surrounds you. All the nature surrounding the Upper Peninsula has to offer is yours to explore. Take the easy private 200 foot walk down the trail to the beach. You can see the water- beach through the trees. Relax on your own private, sandy beach as you watch the kids swim and soak in the feeling of being Up North.
It is wonderful to be able to walk almost 100ft out into Trout Lake and you are still only adult-waist deep! There is a slow, shallow sandy bottom. It takes "almost the length of football field" to get adult-chest high in the lake.
Hidden Paradise Trout Lake is an ideal middle ground to explore the sites of the Central and Eastern Upper Peninsula. Tahquamenon Falls and Whitefish Point are easy day trips. Located only 30 miles from the Mackinac Bridge.

Everyone can spread out and relax in the huge living room with a majestic fireplace and plenty of comfortable seating. The living room is free from curtains so you can fully enjoy being surrounded by nature. There are curtains in the bedrooms and bathroom.
The other cabin is the guest cabin. The guest cabin sleeps 4 and has 1 bathroom. It is ideal for adult children, in-laws or another small family traveling with you. *We do not rent the 2 cabins separately.

Invite additional family members, allow your teens to have their space, your in-laws or adult children to enjoy the additional small cabin on the property.
This rental was everything we could have asked for and more!!! We've rented properties before but not as well equipped as this one. Anything we may have forgotten at home, they had it. We created so many family memories. It gave us all the convenience of home yet still felt like we were camping. And all the views of the stars at night was amazing. Everything was well kept and clean. All the attractions are within a descent driving range. There was so much for the kids to explore right in the yard. We will most definitely rent again!!!
My husband& I stayed here with our six kids who range in ages from 9 to 17. We found the accommodations perfectly comfortable spacious and restful! The patio outside was great for just hanging out and having fires. The living room had enough seating for all of us and more. The water was very cool but we spent a lot of time playing in it and swimming. We truly enjoyed our family vacation at hidden paradise and are anticipating going back next year!
What a Great week. Family vacation Myself, 3 son's and wives and 4 grandkids.
We toured the Soo, Falls,Pictured Rocks, Oswald bear Ranch, Garlyn Zoo.
The kids had a blast. Done some fishing and boating between the canoe, paddle boat and my little fishing boat we could all be on the water.
The mosquitoes were only bothersome just before dark. We had a campfire everynight.
Grilled out Everyone enjoyed themselves. Would come again.
Thanks for a Great week.
We all (12 people) enjoyed our stay at Hidden Paradise, Trout Lake MI. July 11 - 18 2015
There are a few things I would like to suggest. The mosquitoes were so out of control that it made enjoying the beach and outside difficult at best. I would recommend that the rental company or Landlord invest in industrial fogging machines or have the grounds professionally treated. I understand that there is a major bat problem and the MDNR is working on the issue and there are few if any bats however this is not the landlord's fault. The property is big enough to discreetly install bat boxes with hopes that they would draw in bats. Bats eat mosquitoes and i believe would drastically cut down the population with minimal investment.
The second smaller cabin also needs closer attention made to pest/bug control inside. A lot of spiders, earwigs etc.
The third thing was there are no curtains on the windows. When the sun comes up you get up because of the sunlight.
Over all i would recommend staying here for the rustic charm the place has and the solitude and tranquility the Eastern UP has to offer.
It was a beautiful place to stay, it was clean and well maintained. We loved the views from any direction and thought it was quite a unique building. The only draw back was the mosquitoes, outdoors was impossible to enjoy and a lot inside too, the only problem we encountered. Yes we would recommend it and also to go back ourselves. The sheets of instructions on the table were a big help too.
