I bought Beach-to-Beech chalet after renting it and others at Beech Mountain a few times. We use it as a week long get-a-way throughout the year.
We vacationed for a long weekend in February with another family so that all of our kids could experience snow for the first time. The chalet was perfectly located for our adventures at Beech Mountain Ski Resort. It was also well supplied, clean and in good working order. Beautiful property and would stay here again in the future.
We had a super time at Beech to Beach Chalet! We have stayed at other rentals in different places but this place had everything you could possibly need or want! We had a fantastic time gathered around the fire pit with our children/ grandchildren. Amazing pictures! The close by hiking trails were enjoyed by all of us! We are not skiers but we did ice skate and plan to tube next time we come. We did a combination of eating in and dining out. This area has several good places to dine informally - we had a three year old and a five year old. The well stocked kitchen made it possible to fix everything else we needed! Beech to Beach has a great floor plan with plenty of room for kids and adults! We all had fun and decided we want to return and explore Beech Mountain some more!
We were very impressed with the property. The view is great from the back balcony and the home is tucked away down a quiet residential street. We saw many deer wandering around the area in the evenings. The property is just a short drive to the top of Beech Mountain and few more minutes down into Banner Elk. We found great places to eat each day in Banner Elk, from fine dining to casual dining. We also found the home conveniently located near a number of the better hiking options such as grandfather mountain trail, profile trail, and the Boone fork trail.
We found the home very clean, well maintained, and ready for us upon arrival. The home was very well stocked with everything needed to make it your home away from home. All you need to do is bring / buy food, if you plan to cook. I don't think the photos do the place justice. The great room is quite nice with a beautiful high wood ceiling, large windows, and a large wood burning fireplace in the middle. The other rooms are well appointed as well. We greatly enjoyed relaxing in the evenings to a nice cracking fire (chopped fire wood provided by the owner) and a good movie after hiking all day. They have a good amount of DVDs and have all the premium movie channels as well. There is also a nice fire pit with lots of chairs behind the house. We were not able to use this as a front blew in early during our trip. It rained all day the first day and was much too windy the rest of the weekend.
We have no complaints. My only comment is that the road to the house is not paved nor is the parking area by the entrance to the home. It rained quite a bit the first day and the areas got quite muddy. Our vehicle did not get stuck, but it was a bit messy going up and down the road to and from the closest paved road.
I would definitely stay here again the next time we visit the Beech Mountain / Banner Elk area.
This property is absolutely gorgeous. Well equipped with many board games, puzzles, and movies to turn a rainy stay into wonderful family time.
The property was excellent. Very nicely appointed interior, nice great room / dining room combo with giant rock fireplace. Large deck with gas grill and an outstanding area for outdoor dining. excellently furnished kitchen with plenty of utensils, plates, pots and pans. My family had a ball
We stayed at Beach to Beech for a month. Our son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren ( 5 and 2) joined us for 2 weeks. Beach to Beech is such a comfortable home we did not want to leave! It is conviently located on the mountain with easy access to all Beech Mountain and area has to offer. The owners have gone above and beyond to make sure guests have everything they could possibly need and then some! (Cut and stacked firewood, extra gas tank for the grill, 3 large umbrellas on the deck, etc.). They were also quickly available to answer questions and provide us with information about the house and Beech Mountain. There are endless activities at Beech and surrounding areas. The hiking trails are fabulous and plentiful. Beech Mountain Club and Buckeye Rec Center have activities for all ages. We enjoyed our stay so much we are planning on returning next summer.
