This lovely home is located on Coquina Key, an island community in southeast St. Petersburg not far from the city's vibrant downtown which includes the waterfront, marina district, and Tropicana Field, home of the Tampa Bay Rays. Surrounded by Tampa Bay on the east, and Big and Little Bayous on the north, south, and west, Coquina Key is known for cooling sea breezes, open water vistas, rambling streets with names like Wahoo, Sunfish, and Tuna, and abundant deep water with direct access to Tampa Bay.
Situated on a peaceful cul-de-sac and shaded by a magnificent banyan tree, this comfortable home offers spacious accommodations with an open floor plan that's sure to please. At the center of the home is a gorgeous remodeled kitchen, where you'll enjoy putting together meals to serve at the large farm table in the adjoining dining area, or delicious snacks for everyone to enjoy when trying their luck at the nearby poker/game table. A beautiful Florida room with plenty of windows overlooking the pool, canal, and Tampa Bay will be your favorite place to relax.
The family who owns this home has made it possible for everyone to visit at once, with bedding designed for lots of guests. The master bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has a queen and a full bed; both of these bedrooms include TVs. The third bedroom has a bunk bed with a full on the bottom and a twin on the top. Both bathrooms are located nearby for everyone's access.
Outside you'll find an open pool overlooking the deep water canal, which provides quick access to gorgeous Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico beyond. St. Petersburg's world-famous beaches are a quick 15-minute drive away.
We loved our stay at this home. The view was beautiful, the pool was a nice addition, and the openness of the floor plan was great for our family. I believe it is better suited to 8 people than nine, unless you have 3 children(one to sleep on the top bunk and two to sleep together on the bottom double bed.) Also, the pool skimmer needs to be replaced since the handle is broken and won't stay on the skimmer.....but the house was great, and I would recommend others to stay there.
Just got back from our vacation with the kids and grandkids, we had a great time. The house was clean and large enough to fit 8 people very well. We were close enough to easily get to Pass A Grille and spend the day at the beach, as well as John's Pass to go shopping while the guys went on fishing. Lots of things to do in close proximity, but we also spent half the time just hanging out at the pool. We would recommend this place and would use this house again if/when we decide to go back to this area. Well worth the money we spent.
