"Casa Blanca 1888" has everything you could want for your stay in Old Town Key West. Its central location in historic Old Town at White Street and Truman Avenue means you will be just steps from the White Street art gallery district, restaurants, grocery stores, Yoga studios and the Coffee Mill. Its size and layout mean that no one will feel crowded. This historic two story home, built circa 1888, was renovated a few years ago and magically holds its historic appeal while feeling incredibly modern and comfortable inside.
**This home is available for lease by the month, in accordance with local ordinances strictly enforced by the City of Key West. The minimum lease is for 27 nights in February and for 29 nights during any other period.
THE LIVING AREA...
Fine cherry flooring compliments the original Dade County pine walls that you will find throughout this house. The 19th century is complimented by the 21st century in the kitchen, with custom cabinets, granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances including a double door refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, glass top stove, microwave and garbage disposal. Every cooking utensil is provided to prepare gourmet feasts for a group and the breakfast bar is the perfect place to sit while watching someone else do the cooking.
If you decide not to go out on the town, you can always watch the 42 inch flat screen plasma TV with DVD/CD/Surround Sound. The dining table sits six comfortably. The step-down Florida room overlooks the gardens and pool. A full bathroom on the main floor features a shower and is convenient to use while enjoying the large heated pool and tropical gardens. There are 4 porches, upstairs and downstairs, so there’s plenty of personal space available.
THE POOL AREA...
The back yard has to be seen. In a town where any yard at all is a blessing, this home has a huge back yard and pool area. The pool is very large as well, with areas of sun and shade to keep everyone happy. There are two different dining areas and plenty of chaises. There is also a private outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach or pool.
There are a total of four bedrooms and three bathrooms. All of the bedrooms are equipped with cable TV and DVD players. The first bedroom is on the main floor and has a queen bed. The master bedroom, with a king bed and in-suite bathroom, has double French doors that open to a private back deck. The third bedroom features two twins that convert to a king bed. Lastly, the fourth bedroom has a queen bed and access to the front second story porch with seating. There is a hall bath for these two bedrooms with double sinks, granite cabinet tops, tub & shower.

Casa Blanca 1888, a certified historic structure built in 1888, but completely rehabilitated into a current day oasis in Key West had everything we needed for our stay. It was really nice! First Class! The art work was impressive. The furniture including the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were modern and clean. The kitchen was up to date and fully stocked. There wasn’t anything missing that a guest would need. The back yard pool area was truly an oasis. The large pool, outside shower, large grill and patio furniture were used and enjoyed extensively every day as the weather was so perfect. Our daily trips out for snorkeling, dining or partying were always fun. Biking the island is the best way to move around Key West. Any place you want to go is within 5 to 10 minutes. We met lots of nice people who seemed happy to be in Key West just like us. I highly recommend stay in Casa Blanca 1888.

We frequent key west at least 5 times a year this was the best place we have ever stayed. The home was immaculate the pool was so refreshing on a hot afternoon.
Bruce was great checked with us to see if everything was good. I would highly recommend staying at the white street house it is large enough that a whole family could stay there and not feel crowed.

This property was immaculate and exceeded all expectations for what we were looking for our family vacation. We had several family members come to visit throughout our stay in Key West. They all raved about how wonderful the home was. The location was perfect. We were within walking distance of just about everything. The neighborhood was great.
From the moment we walked in we felt like we were at home. It was clean, comfortable and had plenty of room for all our extended family. Excellent amenities and a gorgeous backyard with an huge pool.

We stayed for the month of June in this amazing home. Casa Blanca fit all of our needs--plenty of bedrooms for our grown kids, a wonderful pool, and we were able to bring our dog, which was the icing on the cake. The home brilliantly combines the old with the new, original moldings and woodwork but with all the conveniences that make it a great vacation home. There is plenty of room to relax, indoors or out. We'll definitely be back!
We spent a month at Casa Blanca and I have to say we loved everything about this home. It truly is a magnificent property. It had every amenity you could ever want and more. The owners really put a lot of TLC into this home and it showed. The house was immaculate, comfortable, spacious and a perfect home for our extended family of 8. The kitchen was large and well stocked which allowed us to cook most of our own meals. The bedrooms were a perfect size and had been freshly painted. There were plenty of bathrooms and an outdoor shower which was fantastic. The pool was huge and the landscaping around the pool was unbelievable. We spent a lot of evenings in the backyard relaxing, cooking out and just enjoying the scenery. We felt like we were in paradise. The house is perfectly located and a short walk to Duval Street. Our flight was delayed several hours so we didn’t land until after midnight. We were concerned when we got to the house that it would be dark and would not be able to find our way around inside. Thanks to Shel, he made sure the house was well light, A/C running and music playing when we opened the door. It was so welcoming, and that was the start of our vacation in paradise. Shel was absolutely amazing. I can’t thank him enough for all his tips on restaurants, sightseeing and just taking the time to stop by to see if there was anything we needed. You are a remarkable man and you were a big part of making our vacation one we will never forget. This home gets 10 stars in my book and I highly recommend this property.
Casa Blanca was just as described. It was very clean and well maintained. Our property manager, Shel, was very attentive to our needs. The pool is amazing and my family thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Casa Blanca…Another Expression For Paradise.
The review below was posted last year when my wife and I first visited Casa Blanca. It still stands. Unfortunately, this year my wife fell and fractured her hip at another Last Key property and I had to enjoy the house alone for the month. Needless to say, the stay this year was a sad one. The following comments are still valid, however,
and Shel did everything possible to make an unfortunate situation enjoyable.
We arrived at Casa Blanca from New York at 5 pm on a hot Wednesday evening and were greeted by Shel, the Guest Services Manager. He brought in our luggage, carried it upstairs to the master bedroom and made us feel right at home. Next he gave us a tour of this absolutely beautiful 1888 Historic Register Home with 4 bedrooms, 3 baths and almost every amenity you could possibly imagine, including one of the largest private pools in Key West. Shel was at our beck and call at a moments notice throughout our stay and his attention to our every need added immensely to our enjoyment. Thank you Shel!
For six glorious weeks we enjoyed this gorgeous home…its large modern kitchen, its living room with a fantastic sound system, its master bedroom with a very comfortable king size bed, its three other bedrooms our guests loved, its off-street parking, its convenient walk-to access to local markets, restaurants, galleries and St. Mary Star of the Sea Basilica.
The 30-foot pool was the star, however. We were in it day and night doing laps or simply floating on our noodles, talking the time away trying to decide which fabulous restaurant we would try that night.
To summarize, our six-week idyll in Paradise was simply perfect. The proof - we’re already booked for a return visit next year.
