Just steps to downtown's quaint boutiques, art galleries, shopping, restaurants and close to all of Acadia National Park's beautiful offerings.

High end furnishings, linens, appliances and dishware finish off this 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath exceptional cottage. Perfect for a honey moon, romantic get-a-way or a small family. The master bedroom is nicely finished in white, it has a queen-sized very comfortable bed. Down the hall is a smaller second bedroom offering a twin sized day bed with a twin-sized pop up trundle unit.

Convenient Home away from Home

  • 4 of 5

Very clean home, 2- story, with kitchen/laundry facilities downstairs, and bedrooms /living area up.

Convenient to shops, restaurants in quaint village of NE Harbor. Nice view of harbor from living area.

Easy check-in/check-out.

With rental car, we enjoyed being close to Bar Harbor (15-20 minute drive), without being in the midst

of all its traffic/activity.

For gourmet dining, The Fork and Table is a 4-minute walk. The Asticou Inn (across the harbor)

is a 5-minute drive, with a good restaurant and gardens. Other casual restaurants are a 2-3 minute walk.

Early-mid October is an excellent time to visit, for Acadia and spectacular colors, though a few businesses

are already closed for the winter by then.

Lovely little home in quiet Northeast Harbor

  • 4 of 5

Thank you so much for sharing your home in Northeast Harbor. We walked the pleasant 2 blocks to the harbor every day, just to sit peacefully and watch the boats travel in and out. While we could quickly drive or use the free bus service to other parts of the island, we were always happier on the quieter side of the island. Home was designed efficiently, with the upstairs living room offering wonderful views. The kitchen was fully equipped. Access to the home was quite easy.

Very clean and very responsive

  • 4 of 5

The property was very clean which we greatly appreciated. Everything we needed within the kitchen was available (glass storage containers, skewers, etc). There were a couple things that did not work (Internet and grill) but they immediately told us the fix for the Internet (I would suggest including that in the welcome email) and brought us a brand new grill the next day. There are always the unexpected (even at your own home) so I don't fault them at all for these things. Their responsiveness is what I would expect and they came through with flying colors! Thank you!!! One thing I would mention for those considering to rent is that the second bedroom with the two twin beds has an "open"window to the living room, meaning there are not 4 complete walls and lack of privacy. We were unable to use the living room after we put the kids to bed because the tv is right outside this "window". We made the best of it and just watched tv in the master bedroom. The house was only 10 or 15 minutes from Acadia National Park so very convenient location for that and not the up charge of staying in Bar Harbor. We would definitely stay here again.

Owner's Response: Thank you very much for your review and your suggestion. It doesn't happen often with the internet, but we are finding if there has been a power outage, the router just needs to be reset. I think we will include that in our information binder in the property. You were great guests and would love to have you back again as well. We do have other properties that may better suit your needs for more privacy with the young children. Thank you again.

Absolutely loved this cottage!

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was absolutely perfect for my small family of 3!

Location: The location in the quiet town of NE Harbor was ideal. It was very close to the park - you can bike 1 1/2 miles up the hill to the carriage trails, or drive a few minutes and be in the park for awesome hikes. It is also close enough to zip into Bar Harbor to shop or dine, but a quiet haven to return to in the evenings. Downtown NE Harbor is very quaint - nice bakeries and shops and a Bike Rental shop just a block away! It is also a pretty quick drive to Southwest Harbor - home to the Common Good Soup Kitchen, where volunteers sell delicious popovers all summer (by donation only) to fund a winter soup kitchen.

Accommodations: The cottage itself is very lovely and has a killer view of the harbor. It has absolutely everything you could possibly need. Kitchen is well stocked, plenty of paper products, laundry detergent, dish washer detergent, etc... High end sheets, comfy beds and extremely CLEAN! Although we didn't use the backyard and grill, it was a very nice touch!

Owners: The owners were extremely accommodating and helpful. Checking in was a breeze and the owners even accommodated a last-minute request for a late check-out!

Cons: For us, there were none. If you have a family of more than 3 (4 at the absolute most), or have issues with stairs, this wouldn't work so well.

Bottom line: We were initially a bit worried about the location; but found that everything about this cottage was ideal for us. We had an awesome time in Acadia and loved the time we spent in this little cottage! I highly recommend it and would love to return next year!

I loved it, and want to go back and stay again!

  • 5 of 5

I loved the design and layout of the house. The interior was comfortable, clean, well maintained, and attractive. My wife and I loved the layout, and my 9 year old daughter practically squealed with delight when she went in. They allowed us to bring our dog, which literally sold us on the place and convinced us to book, and we did our best to make it seem like a dog hadn't stayed there when we left. The back yard was, IMO at the time of our stay, not uninviting, and I quite enjoyed spending a few moments out there in the evening enjoying the weather and relaxing. I really quite enjoyed my time there, and was very saddened when it came time to leave.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your great review! I am so happy your daughter enjoyed it as well. I have to vouch for your comment "making it seem like a dog hadn't stayed there". We found it so clean, that if we didn't see the sheets, we would have thought you hadn't showed up for your stay. We greatly appreciate you taking such good care of our property and would love for you to think of us when visiting to Acadia again at any of our properties! Thanks again.
