The BEST.

  • 5 of 5

I've rented about 5 houses through VRBO now and this was by far the absolute best house I've stayed in. It was IMMACULATE. (I have horror stories about some others...) Everything we needed to make quick dinners was included (utensils, dishes, full Brita water pitcher, etc.), and everything to get us started (paper towels, toilet paper, etc.) I gave a quick call to the owner to figure out how the AC worked because it was 85 degrees one day, but it worked well, as well as the heat we needed later in the week. It's a charming little house and the views are spectacular. Yes, it overlooks a parking lot, but look further and you can see the gorgeous harbor and beyond.

People mentioned the steep stairs but they were no issue for a 51 year old and a 16 year old. The main bedroom was beautiful and light, with a comfy Queen bed, and lots of closet space. The second bedroom included two twin beds. We were a family of two, but it would be awesome for a family of four as well. The living area had plenty of space, including a little window seat and a desk where you can do your travel journaling or computer work. It also had two bathrooms upstairs and a powder room on the kitchen/dining/laundry room level.

I cannot say enough good things about this house and experience. Did I mention it was super clean? I want to thank the owners for providing such a lovely little house that helped to make our visit extraordinary. A+++++++

Great Location and very Clean!

  • 5 of 5

Property was exactly as described. Beautiful view of the harbor, fully equipped with any kitchen item you could need (including a k-cup machine), within walking distance of several good restaurants, and great location for exploring Acadia. Beds were comfortable and having the two full bathrooms was great. There was a lot of great information on the area left for our use. We hope to be back again!

Another great vacation at Harborview!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second time staying at Harborview and we had another fabulous stay! Clean, comfortable, convenient to everything. We rode our bikes up the hill to the Carriage Trails, hiked Cadillac and Gorham Mountains, took an aerial tour in a bi-plane, went fishing in Frenchman's Bay, shopped in Bar Harbor and ate our fair share of popovers at the Common Good Soup Kitchen (yes, really - check it out!). Harborview was the perfect base for us. Easy to get anywhere we wanted to go on the island and you could even take advantage of the Island Explorer, which stops just up the road, to get around if you don't want to drive. The house is the perfect size for our family of 3. Having a well provisioned kitchen enabled us to have many of our meals 'at home'... I was especially pleased to see the ninja blender for our morning smoothies and a mini-cuisinart that I used to make fresh pesto sauce!

Erica is EXTREMELY responsive and accommodating. If you are thinking about an Acadia getaway, I would highly recommend staying at Northeast Harbor. If you have a small, active family, I would highly recommend Harborview.

We loved staying in town. Kids could ride bikes everywhere. Upon arrival there was no need to drive a car. Very clean and all in good working order.
