About paige

I moved to Colorado Springs in 2009 to be closer to my now husband Seth, a three time Olympian and World Champion in fencing. It took us a year to find this home and we fell in love with it as soon as we stepped inside. We thought we would rent it out to help pay for the expenses of fencing and it turned out it did quite well. Not long after, we put the home up as a semi permanent rental. Seth is now the Fencing Coach for Modern Pentathlon and I am an Elementary Principal. We love our jobs but we really love great homes and this is definitely that!!

Why paige chose Colorado Springs

We bought the home in 2010 as we really fell in love with Manitou and the Incline. Infact, we got engaged at the top of the Incline!! This house has been perfect for all things outdoors. How great to be within walking distance to town and yet be able to go on the most amazing hikes right outside your doorstep.

What makes this house unique

I LOVE people watching. Boy do you get that at this home. People are walking up to the Incline or the Cog and have to right by the home. Not to mention, the Pikes Peak Asent, the hardest Marathon goes right by the house too! It is soo great to be able to wish people well as they go on by as you sit on the comfy front covered patio. In the evenings as the same porch is quiet as can be and all you hear is the stream from across the way!

Perfect location!!

From the moment we walked in the beautiful house, I was amazed!!! The main floor had a more than well equipped kitchen. Beautiful hardwood floors and stainless steel appliances. The laundry room was perfect! New washer and dryer so we didn't have any dirty laundry to take home! The dining room was very spacious with a den attached that the kids took advantage of the video games! Another den with beautiful views of the cog and the mtn's was a center point after eating dinner. Downstairs, the two bedrooms were plenty for 5 people! Bunk beds with a trundle and another twin bed in one room and a queen bed in the other room. The bathroom downstairs was fantastic as well! The front porch was great for watching the Hikers and Pukes Peak Marathon runners! Oh forgot to mention the half bath on main floor. On the 3rd floor the 2 master suites were just amazing! We had the main master which was beautifully decorated and had mountain views. With a flick of a switch you had a romantic fire going in the fireplace along with the sitting area in the window. The room was huge!! The bathroom, well, was perfect! I took advantage of the claw foot tub after our Ascent of Pikes Peak. Loved that it had shower handle attached to the bath faucet. Beautiful oil rubbed bronze fixtures. Glass shower was amazing and the toilet was separate so u could do ur thing while the other got ready lol. There was plenty of parking and no one ever got our spots. Paige was great to deal with, sad I didn't get to meet her In person due to our late night flight delays;(. Overall amazing place to stay and I recommend it for anyone!! Hope to reserve it again!

Disappointed in vacation home owner

Found vacation home on VRBO. Made reservation through VRBO paid deposit thought everything was confirmed. Then received an email from the home owner telling me that she could not rent the house for the price it was listed for on VRBO. I did receive a refund for the amount that VRBO had accepted. The reservation had been made for a family reunion for a group of seniors ages from 64 to 86.

I don't know who to be disappointed in VRBO or who I think Paige the home owner don't know if she got a better offer or just what happened.

Just Right...

This house was just the right size for our 10 person family gathering. All of the amenities were included, which made our lives easy. The kitchen provided everything we needed to prepare our meals. The location was perfect...1/2 block from The Cog Rail and The Incline, and within 1/2 mile walking distance from all of the downtown Manitou excitement.

Perfect Location and Great Vacation

What an unbelievable house and perfect location! We had 3 families comfortably stay at this house for 4 days and never felt cramp or like we were stepping on each other. The location is absolutely perfect with private parking and walking distance to the COG and Incline as well as other challenging trails. The house and location was perfect for our active kids and a large group. We would stay here again. Highly recommended.

Family Memories to Last a Lifetime

What a lovely home! My husband and I brought our blended family of four adult children and 1 grandbaby for a week. This is virtually the only centrally located rental in Manitou Springs with space and amenities to accommodate our family. It was the perfect jumping-off point for walking to Manitou Avenue, horseback riding, rafting, Cave of the Winds and Jeep tours to the wolf sanctuary and Pike's Peak Summit. The bedroom accommodations are wonderful with 2 master suites on the top level and a lovely queen bedroom and fun bunk room on the lower level. The kitchen is exceptionally well-stocked and provisions were more than ample, including paper towels, toilet paper, laundry and dishwasher soap! Paige was so gracious and extremely responsive to our needs. We could not have chosen a better place to stay for our family vacation of a lifetime!
