Great fit for a big group

  • 5 of 5

We had 10 people staying at the house, and it was a great fit with just enough sleeping and bedroom options (and bathrooms!). The kitchen was great - we were able to prep and cook an entire meal for a wedding. The entire home was well stocked and comfortable. The host was quick to respond to any issues and very accommodating. We'd love to return in the summer to enjoy the yard and water!

Plenty of room for our family of 8 plus 3 kids.

  • 5 of 5

This was our second trip to this property and we loved having space for everyone. Kids could play, adults watch games in the theatre, others visit in other locations. The home and decor are first rate. Do need a fire extinguisher, however.

Family Holiday Retreat

  • 5 of 5

The week before Christmas, as often as possible, our family gathers to celebrate. It has often been a challenge to engage the ideal location. Most of the family live in the Seattle / Everett area. There are a few of us who live out of state. Our 2017 family event found the perfect home for our gathering. The Woods Lodge in Monroe was perfect from planning, to storage, to meal prep and clean up. The game room was perfect for the kids. The theater room was perfect for the guys to watch sports. The owner was extremely accommodating and responsive. I would definitely recommend this location and will most likely re book myself.

Couldn't of been better!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this incredible property to be close to the wedding venue for our son's wedding. We wanted some place special to hang out with our Pastor and our immediate family, before and after the wedding. Finding this place was a divine appointment. From the winding valley road that follows the Snohomish river, to the autumn colors that littered the hillsides, we felt like we were driving into paradise. Walking through the front door . . . the place was simply stunning! High ceilings, beautiful hardwood floors, tons of space, comfort and all the amenities you could ask for. Did I mention the river is about a hundred yards away and I lost track of how many windows, but the view was spectacular! Ever room has a TV, but my favorite place to watch college football games, was in the huge theater room above the garage . . . fully reclined in one of the many recliner chairs. Our stay was perfect, even the weather cooperated. . . . 70 degrees and sunny in late October! By the way, the property owners are amazing to work with. Great communication and no hassles whatsoever! If you're look for a jewel, this is it!

Beautiful Property

  • 4 of 5

This was a beautiful home and perfect for our staff of 13 to get away for a few days. Our only complaint was we had a hard time getting hot water in the downstairs bathrooms. I was told later by a co-worker that there was a trick with the faucet. Would be helpful to have those instructions. I had 2 lukewarm showers and couldn't ever get the sink warm in the bathroom nearest to the living room. Other than that, I would highly recommend this beautiful place!

Owner's Response: I'm so sorry you had a negative experience with the hot water. I am completely unaware of any special trick to the faucets, as they are all new in the sinks. I sent someone out today to look at the issue, and they found nothing, so I'm unsure what the issue could've been. I had him turn up the usage meter on the hot water tank (I'm not exactly sure what it's called) and took it off of eco mode, in hopes this corrects the issue for future guests, but I have large groups staying frequently and haven't had this complaint before, so I'm at a loss. I am always just a phone call away, and will do whatever I can, to fix any issues that come up! I am having another person go out tomorrow, to get a 2nd opinion, just to be sure. I don't wish luke warm showers on anyone!! :( I'm thankful you enjoyed the home otherwise!!

Great house for a crowd

  • 5 of 5

My group of 16 had a great weekend using the home theater, kitchen, patio, and exploring the river. Have to agree that the only thing that could improve this place would be an outdoor hot tub.

About Charity Wood

We are newly weds, going on almost 2 years. We've been together 4 years now and are best friends! We have 4 kids between us, ages 5, 6, 13, and 19. We're so fortunate that we all have bonded so closely together as a blended family! I was a stay at home mom for 12 years! Then I started my own business, doing eyelash extensions and it took off! I love what I do! I have since expanded my business to include spray tanning, eyebrow extensions, and sugaring (a form of hair removal, superior to waxing). My husband has a very creative mind! He's even created a line of Organic body care (lotions, oils, body wash, scrubs, deodorants, etc).

We will be getting into the Real Estate business this year and are very excited about that!

We love the outdoors! Fishing, crabbing, hiking, and camping! We also love traveling! As our youngest kids get a little older, we're excited to have the opportunity to show them the world!

We LOVE our vacation home and we hope you do too!

Charity Wood purchased this house in 2009
