Spend your next vacation in our beautiful 4 bedroom/3 bathroom house while enjoying the Gulf of Mexico as your backyard!
You will enjoy daily visits from dolphins, sting rays, and the occasional manatee. The private dock is the perfect place to fish or park your boat if you choose to bring one. There is a heated jacuzzi, a swimming pool, two large screened in areas overlooking the water, as well as multiple private docks for boating. This house is a fully furnished home with an upstairs and downstairs living room, a pool table, and bar. The entire space can sleep up to 10 people with three king beds, one queen, and a pull-out Murphy bed. The area is perfect for kayaking (kayaks and canoes available at no charge), scalloping, fishing (fish poles and tackle box ready to use), and sitting by the pool, soaking up the Florida sunshine!
Whether you're looking for a large space for your next scalloping trip or family get together or a more relaxing escape with nothing more on the agenda than sipping cocktails in the pool while watching the sun disappear into the Gulf, this is the perfect spot for you!
** This home is not suitable for those with mobility issues. The upstairs living area with kitchen is only accessible by stairs.

Everything we could ask for was provided. The hosts were wonderful.
As a family of 10 adults and several dogs looking for a place to gather and relax, we found the Dolphin House spacious enough and designed to give people together time as well as provide multiple areas for quiet reflection. We arrived just following a rather serious storm and flooding, but Ashley and Dave made sure we were both safe and well provided for. The kitchen, bedrooms and baths were spacious and well equipped. The in house laundry and upstairs and downstairs refrigerators made our visit so easy. Our boat was docked there right by the pool, which gave us easy access to swimming and other water sports. Because this is a two story house, the ability to navigate stairs is important, even though there is a small lift which can be utilized. A marina and shopping areas are close, as are some very good and unique restaurants. We certainly would recommend this.
Beautiful Views, Spacious House, Plenty to do... The Dolphin House has is all.
We always enjoy our vacation there .. Kayaks and Canoes are available to use... But out favorite place is relaxing in the pool or spa while looking out on the Gulf... we'll be back for our 3rd vacation there !
The house should be renamed Southern Charm. It's a very spacious home in a great location on the Gulf. It comes with kayaks and canoes so you can visit the shore across from you. Which by the way has an enormous amount of dried puffed sand dollars. We always have a great time rain or shine. The house has everything you need to have a great time and if you need something it's probably there it's just such a large home it's probably there you just haven't looked in all the places. Now that I have all that out of the way I have a bone to pick. I have stayed at many homes in Florida from the Hudson area down to Clearwater. Four homes in total. Several things to keep in mind. If you live in Florida guess what the water bugs which look like prehistoric killer cockroaches are in every home. It's kind of like grand daddy long legs in Georgia. Try all you like they're going to be there especially if you are dumb enough to leave the doors open. When any structure sits on salt water it prematurely ages you can't out run it. The home has character which is more than I can say for some folks. So if you're not high maintenance this is a home for you. If you are high maintenance move along to Clearwater and pay $500 a night because you're not going to be happy with any of the homes in the area. Ashley and Dave have impeccable characters and I would dare anyone to find a better group of folks to do business with. Matter of fact mine is already booked for next August. Take a look at the calendar it says it all.
This house was a great spot for a girl's night away. The Dolphin House is a beautiful home right on the Gulf of Mexico and is perfect for relaxing, sunning and having drinks by the pool and hot tub. We especially loved the space downstairs right off the patio. There is a wet bar with a fridge which made pool time easy and convenient. Everything was just as advertised and the pictures do not do it justice. We were only an hour from Clearwater Beach and loved going to the local tiki bar, R Beach, for dancing and live music. It's a must visit in this quaint little neighborhood; tell Fred hi for us!! :) We will certainly be back and can't wait for our next visit! It'll be a longer stay for sure!
We survived Hurricane Hermine at the Dolphin House! The winds were crazy, the rain poured down, and the Gulf rose all the way up to the sea wall. Our only concern was did we pack enough wine/beer and Jimmy Buffett CDs. The house was perfectly dry and safe during the whole storm and Dave and Ashley stopped through several times to check on us and the home. What an experience!
My family has rented this vacation house three times before, with 10 family members (6 adults-4 kids) and three large dogs. Hernando beach and the Dolphin House are so relaxing. The house is spacious and excellent set up for a little separation, with a very nice upstairs for adults and a more relaxed kid/pet friendly downstairs with pool table, large couches, TV, and extra refrigerator right off the fenced in pool/spa area. There is even a service lift perfect for handicap access. It was an added, unadvertised benefit and came in handy for our elderly relatives and luggage. We had excellent luck fishing with bait shrimp and cut up hot dogs for the kids.
Having lived up north most of my life, watching dolphins while eating breakfast is an amazing treat. We will be back! Thanks Dave and Ashley!
Annual scallop season, late June - late September; Scallop Charters, and fishing charters available. Pontoon boats, jet skis, and paddleboards can be rented at local marinas within 1 mile of house.
