Nestled between Saugatuck & South Haven (15 minutes either way), we’re located in the charming four-cornered town of Glenn. The drive from Chicago or Detroit is about 2 ½ hours.
We are a 3 minute walk to Lake Michigan, down a dirt road to a natural incline – one of the rare access points without stairs to the beach.
Our house is six years old with all the custom amenities and is naturally clean, clean, clean. The open floor plan includes central air, a large kitchen with stainless steel appliances and an island with four stools, a dining space and a comfortable sitting area. We often ‘unplug’ while in Glenn, but it’s nice having WiFi throughout the house and a 46” flat panel TV with cable.
The Master Bedroom (king bed) is on first floor with a walk-in shower that opens to a deck with private outdoor shower. Two large guest bedrooms (queen beds) with full baths are located upstairs, as is a private loft that sleeps two (twin beds). The loft shares the larger of the two upstairs bathrooms. We do not accommodate children under 5.
Our 'Zero-Step' house makes it easy to get everywhere on the first floor, including the lovely screened porch and rear deck with porch swing and gas grill.
The beauty of our neighborhood and beach is its natural serenity; and we’re located in an area with few rentals. This is not the place for loud large parties, fireworks and late hours.
Enjoy your quiet surroundings minutes from Saugatuck, Douglas, South Haven and Holland. There are plenty of art galleries, quaint shops, antique stores, fruit farms/stands and numerous golf courses in the area.

We spend our leisure time gardening, traveling, reading and exploring culinary interests - though not necessarily in that order.
Barbara purchased this house in 2010
We love the Saugatuck area and wanted to build a serene country house that was close enough to everything. We found the perfect locale in Glenn.
Large guest bedrooms with private baths are always a nice surprise for our guests; and walking the country roads and Lake Michigan beaches never gets tiring.
My family thoroughly enjoyed their second visit to this lovely lake house. The house is thoughtfully and beautifully laid out - there are spaces to gather together and spaces to spread out. The house has many special features including the shower room off of the master bedroom. Each bedroom is equipped with its own bathroom and shower. There is even an outdoor shower. Outside there are two decks and a screened porch. I was always the early riser and enjoyed a quiet coffee each morning on the porch. Then we used the beautiful and well appointed kitchen to make breakfast together for everyone.
The days were filled with swimming and sun at Oval Beach, climbing Mt. Baldhead, shopping in nearby Saugatuck, Douglas, and South Haven, and even renting stand up paddle boards and "Craigcats" on the Kalamazoo River.
We recommend eating at Crane's near Fenneville, Clementine's in South Haven, and the Wild Dog Grille in Douglas. We also recommend grilling, cooking, and dining in this beautiful home.
Barbara was an excellent communicator and was quick to respond to emails. I'll be dreaming of returning to this Glenn retreat during the cold winter months.
I recently spent a week at the Glenn house and it was wonderful. It's hard to believe, but the house was even better than the pictures. The house is impeccably clean, decorated beautifully, and has a great layout. Loved the screened in porch, back deck, and outdoor shower. The owner has thought of everything from beach chairs to wine glasses.
An easy drive to Saugatauk & South Haven. Both cities have great beaches, restaurants, & shops. The house is good for 3 couples, each bedroom has it's own bathroom.
This home is lovely. It has so many thoughtful touches! We rented the home for a long girls weekend. Barbara was so quick in response to any questions and provided us with all of the information we needed to have a perfect stay. The home is clean and cozy. We loved all of the outdoor spaces, outdoor shower, two patios, and the tranquil backyard. I cannot recommend this rental more, each member of our group spoke about trying to rent this out next summer with their families/ friends. I'm sure we will be back!
Everyone in our family commented over and over again how well designed, thoughtfully laid out and well-equipped this home was. We are a family of cooks, and everything anybody could want to prepare a meal was available. The outdoor shower was a major hit whether under the moon and stars or the warmth of the sun. The ornamental grasses and lovely gardens were an unexpected treat. Being close to the beach and well placed between South Haven and Saugatuck was perfect...we couldn't have felt more at home or been more relaxed. Thank you so much for opening your home to us.
We have rented a lot of houses in the area and this is, by far, our favorite. The neighborhood is so peaceful. The walk to the beach is short & the beach is never crowded. The house is very comfortable, clean, modern & perfect. The only thing we miss is a fire pit. We'll be back for sure!
This house was perfect for us. The White's thought of everything. There were six adults and my 12 year old nephew. Every couple had there own bedroom and bathroom. My nephew had the loft all to himself. My wife and I enjoyed the downstairs bedroom which had a walk in closet, its own bathroom and the most amazing showerroom. I believe the whole downstairs is handicapped accessible. The kitchen had everything you would need to make any kind of meal. The screened porch was great with the cool evenings. Also the back deck and yard were great. Two mornings we saw a red fox come walking by the house. And if you like to barbecue, grill was awesome, makes me want to run out and up grade to what they had. They also had an abundance of great beach chairs, the backpack kind that made getting them down to the beach. You are 15 minutes from South Haven in the south and 15 minutes to Saugatuck to the north. Holland is about 25 - 30 minutes, and Grand Haven about 50. Easy access to the highway. If your looking for a great place to stay, this is it. Looking forward to another stay.
