House, 3 Bedrooms + Loft, 3.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6)
We spend our leisure time gardening, traveling, reading and exploring culinary interests - though not necessarily in that order.
Barbara purchased this House in 2010
Why Barbara chose Fennville
We love the Saugatuck/South Haven area and wanted to build a serene country house that was close enough to everything. We found the perfect locale in Glenn.
What makes this House unique
Large guest bedrooms with private baths are always a nice surprise for our guests; and walking the country roads and Lake Michigan beaches never gets tiring.

Perfect, beautiful, relaxing!
My adult sister and I had a perfect experience staying here. The home was exceptionally clean, beautiful, comfortable and convenient. Thought and care had been taken in every detail, from the home design, the conveniences like Kleenex and toilet paper and a well-stocked kitchen, to the beautiful setting and flower garden. There were even chairs (Tommy Bahama) and umbrellas to take to the beach. A quiet home with privacy from the road in a perfect location for getting to south haven and Saugatuck. Sitting on the back deck we enjoyed the birds, the bunnies, butterflies, and even a fawn who came close to see us until its mom came to guide her into the trees. Magical and relaxing. Check-in directions were clear and easy. Thank you for sharing your home!
Beauty and serenity in a great location
This is a well-appointed, beautiful home that provides a variety of spaces for relaxing: screened-in porch, living room, and patio. From the patio we could hear a symphony of bird calls and enjoyed watching various species compete for the birdhouse (we were cheering for the Bluebirds). Lake Michigan is right down the street, and Saugatuck, Southhaven, and Grand Rapids are within easy driving distance. Wonderful place for a week of relaxation.
We just spent another great week at the Glenn retreat. There is nothing like the peacefulness of this lovely home. The screened in porch in the front is the place to be for morning coffee. We saw many hummingbirds and butterflies in the yard and even a groundhog one evening! The neighborhood is quiet too - which can be a litle hard to find during the summer in Saugatuck. Yes, the local beach is much smaller lately - but we tend to spend beach days at Oval. The house is very clean with every amenity you’d need and then some. We can’t wait to return!
Tracie, It's always nice having your family at our Glenn home.
Rich has worked hard the last few years developing the natural habitat for hosting birds, butterflies and bees. Glad you saw some.
Thanks for booking for summer 2019 and have a wonderful year.
Love the house
Beautiful house with everything you could need! Just perfect!
We're glad your group enjoyed another week in Glenn. We hope you consider staying again!
Perfect for a group of friends - beach a little disappointing
The house is just beautiful with plenty of room for three couples. We loved that each couple had their own bathroom. The front screened in porch is heaven on a rainy day and the back deck is wonderful when it's sunny. The house decor is very charming and all of the beds/furniture are comfortable. The owners have thought of everything you might need - towels, kitchen equipment, games, basic kitchen supplies like soap, salt, pan spray, etc. They also provide beach chairs, bikes, and other bonuses for summer fun. It is very relaxing and walking distance from a general store, playground, and cafe/restaurant (AWESOME breakfast). Our only slight disappointment was the size/quality of the beach. The water was high so the beach was quite small, very rocky, and we were attacked by bugs even with very strong Deet bug spray. If you want to stay somewhere to mainly enjoy the beach this may not be the place. However, it's a quick drive to the sandy South Haven beach and shops.
We’re glad your group chose our Glenn home to celebrate your milestone anniversaries.
We agree about the Glenn Beach. Lake Michigan’s water level has reached a near record high over the last two years and has shortened the beaches considerably. Luckily we are fifteen minutes from South Haven and Saugatuck. Both towns have traditional large public sugar sand beaches.
Please consider staying with us again.
