About the property

House, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 12

This charming home is in the heart of the small downtown of Gearhart: The bakery, coffee shop, restaurant, boutique and grocery stores just a hundred feet away. The home is nested on a very private, fenced lot, up on a low hill and surrounded by tall hedges. There is lots of room for enjoying the outdoors, either on the patio or on the grass, by the firepit. It's dog-friendly with an additional fee.

This charming four bedroom rambler in Gearhart is the perfect place for family or friends gatherings! The house features a large open kitchen and dining area just off of the open living room. The 3 bedrooms offer comfort and privacy to couples, while the children can have fun in the "bunk room" that has 3 bunk beds and sleeps 6. The bunk room has it's own bathroom and a separate entry way as well.

The living room has an inviting wood-burning fireplace and cozy leather furniture to enjoy while you watch you favorite shows or movies on the cable TV with an entertainment center. There is also wireless internet service so you can work while you are away if needed.

This perfect hideaway is still the most strategically located home in Gearhart, with everything within less than half a mile: shopping, beach, golf or highway.

About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Very nice house and location.

It felt like our home for 3 nights. Very short drive to beach - spent a lot of time there. Kitchen & bedrooms were perfect.

Lots of room

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay here at the Salty Dawg. The decor was charming and cute however the lawn had not been mowed in some time and there was no fans and the weather was hot. The house seemed musty but we opened all the windows and it aired out pretty quick. There was also no propane bbq.

This house is great for multiple families. This is the first time I have rented a house for our annual Mother's Day Weekend. We had my husband, my daughter, my son-in-law, my 5 year old grandson, my 2 1/5 year old granddaughter and their two dogs. We all had plenty of space to read, play and visit. My son and daughter-in-law live in Gearhart and when I made the reservation I had no idea that we would be within a half block from their home. The backyard is large and private with a fire pit that we used every evening (something my family loves to do). The large kitchen and dining room made eating in a real family affair. We even chose to do Sunday brunch at the house instead of going out. The large laundry room with sink, washer and dryer is a real bonus. Especially since the washer and dryer are large capacity front loading machines like the ones we have at home. Bedrooms were all spacious and the beds were comfortable. This house is very private and homey with great access to the beach. We will be renting this one for all our trips to Seaside!!!!!

Average beach house

  • 3 of 5

The house was clean and kept up. The driveway is horrible for a crew cab truck. No place to turn around for the switchback driveway. Everything was good until we woke up to the kids bathroom being flooded. A pipe broke behind the shower and there was no stopping it. Overall a descent place, just not ideal

not the vacation we hoped and paid for.....

  • 1 of 5

The house was cute and stay was OK up until our 2nd evening. We heard an alarm; could not figure out where it was coming from. Went outside and was the septic alarm. Called VBRO they said to read the manual initially. Couldn't take any showers that evening. Got up the next am and called again, they would send someone out, but do not take showers, run water or use toilet. A very nice gentleman showed up and said - I have bad news and good news. Bad news is the system needs to be replaced, good news - we have to move you. This was the only sunny day of our vacation, so we packed everything up and moved to a different house. In all, we lost 2 vacation days. Called and talked with someone at VRBO to discuss the lost days, said a manager would be in touch and never heard back - so need to call again. Do not recommend this house at all.
