Vrbo allows me to share my home and hospitality with wonderful visitors. As a realtor for over 15 years, I feel like an ambassador to people visiting or relocating to Hot Springs. It is my goal for guest to consider The Lake Estate as their home away from home.
I designed and built this 10,000 square foot residence as a private home, opening The Lake Estate after my sons went off to college. The property is secluded, yet convenient to all that Hot Springs has to offer. We are located on the shores of Lake Hamilton and minutes to dining, recreation and shopping.
As a premier “resort style” property, we offer several common areas on the property including a grand lobby, game-room, in-home theater, swimming pool, fishing dock plus five private acres.
This house was great, from the location in a cove on the lake to the gigantic master suite. We had 14 people in our party and the house accommodated us all. Thank you Cris!
Let's start with the positives on this estate. We had five couples for the week, and this house was perfect for our needs. We had plenty of room for all of our guests and all of our activities. We brought a couple of boats with us, so the docks were probably the most used part of the property. The pool was very nice, and was a great gathering place away from the lake. Overall, we had a great time, and would rent this house again on a future trip.
Now I will let you know why it was only a four. The house could definitely use some basic upkeep. The first day there, I was in my toolbox 3 different times fixing things that had been rigged together, and not fixed properly, so having someone handy in the group helps. The owner never returned a phone call or an email prior to my arrival, so the fact that the house had been a little neglected did not surprise me. Also of note for future booked renters, a realtor showed up to show the house to potential buyers. The house is on the market. I would have a backup plan in case it sells!
To end on another positive, the house still only had one working pool cue, but we bought another one and left it. We spent a few late nights in the sports bar area..
We chose this property for a couple's weekend with five couples, and I couldn't be happier. The house is beautiful and HUGE, and never once did we ever feel on top of each other. The bedrooms were perfectly spaced out; it was almost as if we all had our own wings of the house. I was lucky enough to have the master suite - let's just say WOW. The weather was great with the exception of a few passing showers, but the covered outdoor space kept us dry. We rented a pontoon boat from Salty Dog one day and got to see Lake Hamilton from a different perspective - what a beautiful, clean lake! (And the boat rental place was great, too.) I couldn't be happier with my three nights at the property. My only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer.
My daughter got married on April 18,2015. It was a beautiful backyard wedding and the entire bridal party stayed in the house. It was a good time and very memorable. This was my 2nd d experience here and would definitely come back. Owner was super helpful thank for the use of the house !
This was our 4th or 5th year staying at the Lake Estate, and we plan to return in 2016. The house is great, the owner is always helpful and the location is terrific. What more can you ask for?
This home is so large and exquisite that at first you may feel it is too grandeur but it will quickly feel quite homey and comfortable. I was with a small group but this home would easily accommodate a very large group. The views are amazing with ample windows to enjoy. It is not in the middle of the city but so very close to everything but with the added luxury of the home, the pool, the privacy and the lake. It is a great place for a group to gather all in one place for a vacation that is roomy enough to be comfortable. Even for a small group you cannot beat the value & luxury you receive renting from the Salazar's verses renting a hotel.
