I do not recommend that you rent a car if you're flying in for a visit- you will not use it!

This loft has two totally enclosed bedrooms, floor to ceiling, with actual doors. This is a bonus for families traveling with children or seniors, couples traveling together, light sleepers, loud snorers, and more. Please see pictures for bed set-up arrangements- a king in 1 bedroom, a twin with trundle in the other, and in the living room another twin with trundle.

While not daycare levels of babyproof, we're babyfriendly- we don't keep dangerous/breakable/valuable things at baby levels.

Guest access

Very safe building security- parking garage gate and all entrances/elevators require an electronic remote given only to residents. Wireless internet, shared rooftop terrace for wine after dinner (or a business meeting with an impressive view!), and gym.

Interaction with guests

To newer guests- In order to ensure i accept your reservation request, especially if you are trying to reserve last-minute, include as many personal details as possible in your message to me- what you do, or why you're coming to Houston- the more info you feel comfortable with sharing, the more likely i'll feel comfortable sharing my home with you. If i have to chose between a 10-sentence request and a 5-sentence request... The longer one will win, every time. I usually require 48 hours notice to prepare for you.

To speed up your reservation acceptance- I will request the full names of everyone in the group, and ask you to confirm that ALL of you have read the full listing- description, amenities (what we have and don't have!), rules, and photos and their captions. That way there will be no surprises for you.

To all my guests- I will be available 24/7 by phone/email/text should you need me and many weekends will be nearby in the suburbs.

Getting around

What are the 3 most important things in real estate? Location, location, location. The metrorail line goes to the museums, zoo, miller outdoor theatre, uh main campus and downtown, medical center, and more. Walk to all the sports games, symphony, opera, ballet, broadway, and dozens of popular restaurants. Yellowcab & greenlink (a free bus that follows a continuous circuit downtown) are also available. Walk through the underground tunnel system (on weekdays during business hours) to many places while avoiding the heat/cold/rain. To go outside downtown, the bus can take you nearly to the suburbs. A public rent-a-bike system as also available for those who enjoy cycling! For slightly farther adventures (NASA for example) try Uber or Lyft- taxi apps you can download to your smartphone.

Other things to note:

Check in is no earlier than 5pm. We work and that is the earliest we can meet you. We can make recommendations for yummy things to eat and fun things to do if you arrive earlier!

Privacy policy requires that i disclose that there are security cameras throughout the building. You can recycle almost anything here (one bin, no sorting), and we use green mountain renewable energy. There is filtered water, an ice machine, iron and ironing board, hangers for your use, fully stocked medicine cabinet, a selection of office supplies, toys/games/books/dvds for the kids and adults. If you would like us to have a printer out for you, let us know.

2) As said above- no parties. You will not receive your deposit back if you have a party. The people named on your reservation are the ONLY ones allowed in the building. (I may make exceptions on a case by case basis.) Please be advised that there are monitored, live-stream security cameras operating 24/7 throughout the building. If you are looking for a fun place for a party, I can recommend awesome restaurants/clubs- some of which will let you use their great upstairs patios/balconies for free!

3) No smoking or pets.

4) Wash, dry, and put back any kitchen items you use. (You may start a load of dishes in the washer on the way out. Soap pods are above sink.)

5) Drop all dirty sheets/towels in the laundry basket- not the blankets/quilts/comforters please, they’re too large and I need to do them separately. No need to put on new sheets!

6) Leave everything like you found it- unplug anything that you plugged in, turn off all lights, turn off A/C and/or heat.

7) Take the trash with you on the way out.

Great location and wonderful amenities

We stayed here during the annual International Quilt Festival. The property is close to the George Brown Convention Center - one metro stop away - and had everything we needed for a stay away from home. We enjoyed the open concept living/dining and kitchen area, super high ceilings, and having two separate bedrooms was extra nice. Everything was spotlessly clean and perfectly maintained. Elizabeth was a terrific host. Thanks for a great stay!

Very Nice Place and Great Location

We enjoyed our stay here. Elizabeth was very responsive to us. The home was cozy and comfy, it suited our needs perfectly for a weekend downtown to enjoy performing arts. Parking is very secure, we did not need our our car once we arrived and knowing it was safely tucked away in the parking garage was one less thing to be concerned about. Highly recommended if you are coming to Houston and need a comfortable place to stay without the expense of a hotel.

Great place to stay!

Place....

Wonderful 2 bedroom with a perfect mix of cozy and modern warehouse industrial feel. High ceilings, plenty of room to spread out, huge bathroom. Beds were very comfortable. Very cool roof top deck. Elizabeth was very helpful with anything we needed, directions, suggestions. We had all necessary amenities to make for a very comfortable and enjoyable 3 night stay.

Location....

Perfect place to stay in houston. Walked to the astros game all three days. Plenty of great places to eat. Felt extremely safe the whole time. Took the metro rail to the butterfly exhibit, straight rout, very quick and easy to use.

Incredibly comfortable stay

The owners are very helpful and have considered many details that you will appreciate when you stay. They have a great place and make it very comfortable for you. There is nothing to worry about because they have thought of it all. Just book and enjoy your time in Houston.

The location doesn't get better than this if you're looking to stay downtown. You won't beat the price either.

The apartment is exactly as described. Clean, comfortable, and very spacious. They have some rules laid out, but they are totally reasonable and nothing out of the ordinary. I have no complaints about this rental. Only happy memories.

super gem in the heart of the city!

We loved our time in this two bedroom with our 1 year old. Elizabeth was a breeze to work with and the whole stay was seamless. We needed a weekend away and hotels are not our thing with a baby. We will definitely be coming back if we can book this apartment again! There is so much to see/do there!
