Beautiful 3 Bedroom, 2 1/2 Bath Home With Outdoor Deck And Off Street Parking.

Escape from work, home and headaches to a beautiful 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath newly remodeled Galveston cottage with ALL the great comforts of home! Private master suite with outside access. Great backyard with spacious parking and deck area.

Enjoy a brief walk to the seawall and you will find the groomed beach, Pleasure Pier, restaurants, bars, retail stores and many other fun activities for the entire family.

Our home will accommodate up to 10 people without feeling crowded. We have a king sized bed in the master, a queen bed in the front bedroom and a bunk room with 3 twin beds. A twin "Murphy" bed in the dining room , the we also provide a queen size air mattress located in the living room closet. This mattress can easily be set up in the laundry area, or anywhere in the home. There is a tub/shower in the master bathroom and a large shower in the second bathroom.

Enjoy free high speed Wi-Fi during your stay! We have a 60" Smart TV with streaming Netflix, Pandora and other on demand services in the living room. There is a large HD Smart TV in the master and a gaming TV in the bunk room.

We have a key-less entry gate opener to and from an alley entrance, or street parking, key-less entry into the home, tank-less hot water heater (never run out of hot water!), brand new front load W/D, Ninja blender, games, wood deck with charcoal BBQ pit, and completely private backyard!

A Breeze Away was designed to relax, enjoy and entertain!

As a courtesy to our neighbors , we cannot allow prom parties, graduation parties or young spring breakers. You must be 25 years of age to reserve the home.

Winter Guests are most welcome.

During Hurricane Season....You will only receive a full refund if there is a named Category 1 or higher named storm in the Gulf of Mexico and it is directed at Galveston.

After a deposit is made, you will receive a Pre-Arrival Letter with much more information about the home. Especially how to gain access.

Cancellation/Refund policy -

If you must cancel, we ask that you do so at least 30 days before your arrival date to receive a full refund.

Why Richard D - Property Manager chose Galveston

We love the beach, love to fish, and most of all we love family time! Therefore, with Galveston only one hour away, we all decided this was the perfect place. Galveston has so much history, charm, GREAT restaurants, shopping and so much more to see and do that you can easily spend a week here and never run out of things to do. It also has the world's longest continuous sidewalk which attracts walkers, joggers, bicyclists, skaters and many more activities. So, if you like to be active, it's a great place or, if you prefer to relax, just grab a good book and enjoy the beach!

Since we can not retire just yet, we wanted to allow others to enjoy Galveston and our home as much as we do; therefore, we designed and furnished our home with comfort and entertainment in mind. Consequently, it's not just a vacation rental, it's a vacation home!

A Breeze Away has been fully renovated with all new appliances, remodeled bathrooms, refinished floors and a newly added master suite with private entrance to the deck and backyard. It is like a brand new home, but maintains the charming, historic cottage look and feel of the early 1900's.

What makes this house unique

A Breeze Away is just that. We are a breeze away from the beach, a breeze away from the Strand and a breeze away from Houston!

For parking ease, we have a long driveway the length of the property with access from the front of the house or the alley. You can easily park your boat or 4 large vehicles without relying on street parking.

If you like entertaining outdoors you will love our backyard retreat with a privacy fence, large deck and plenty of seating areas.

The home is BEAUTIFUL, every picture on-line was exact, every inch of the house, property is lovely

We enjoyed every day and night!!! We had a group of us staying for the Lone Star Bike Rally, every bed was super comfortable!! Plenty of dishes and cookware for dining in and also BBQing!! Loved that we could park our bikes inside a private fence, it made us sleep better at night; in the big cozy beds 😀

Felt like home with a couple caveats...

This is our 2nd star at "A Breeze Away", but this is my first review.

The owner & manager are both very responsive to needs & problem solve quickly. We have met some flakey owners & this is a very appreciated feature of staying at this home. I also like the location which is a short walk to the beach/Seawall Blvd. Very convenient. The property is pretty well maintained except that it takes a long time to get hot water to the guest bathroom between the two bedrooms which are not the master suite. I could see a little bit more wear in the home as far as needed paint touch ups & perhaps the floor in the same bathroom. However, all the supplies are included and you aren't required to buy basics such as soap, shampoo, etc.. The main challenge I had in using the smaller bathroom was no place to put soap since I preferred to use a bar soap that's PH balanced since I have sensitive skin. Maybe a caddy of some sort to put supplies would be helpful.

I was very gratified that the internet worked very well & the PVR for the TV system is wonderful. My husband really enjoys the TVs.

I asked that the air fresheners be taken out & that request was complied with. Thank you very much!

One thing that happened is that we got locked out one day which was bad. I don't use a phone with internet capabilities & I didn't have a phone number to call so had to use the library to get into my account to call the owners. The problem was quickly fixed, but I'd encourage people to perhaps take the keys with you to ensure that doesn't happen. The electronic system had been working so well, we didn't feel it necessary, but got caught short.

All in all, it's a very comfortable house. The cushions for the sofa are starting to wear a bit & there's not good support. It made back ache. But otherwise the house is pretty comfy. I do think it's a good idea for all property owners to live at their homes for a week or so every 3-4 months to check on improvements that should be made. There's nothing like living in the house to know what needs to be done, and things should not be taken for granted. I say this as a general rule not just for this home owner. It's just especially important if you rent the place a lot. Updates & improvements always need to be ongoing.

My husband said he'd stay here again although we don't usually repeat rental homes/destinations. But it sure is nice to have a beach vacation & I LOVE Murdochs & all of the fine dining, esp. Rudy & Pacos.

Love love love the house. Very comfortable!

This was our 2nd time at this house. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a little getaway. Everything about this house was perfect!!! From the comfort of all the furniture down to the beautiful decor. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need for cooking or entertaining. I'm already planning my next visit! Enjoyed my stay with the family over the weekend. This property was in a great location. You walk into this house and all your worries just melt away. It is so relaxing. The pictures do not do justice to this property. It is beautiful inside and my grandchildren loved the swing in the back. The owners emailed me soon after my arrival to make sure things were OK. My only complaint is dealing with VBRO/HomeAway. Have used VBRO several times before and was not charged an expensive service fee. When asked what the fee was for "of course" I received no answer. The "service fee" is a definite downgrade from the old days of VBRO and it reeks of cooperate greed. The fee is steep and is shady and shameful because NO service was actually provided for the "service fee". VBRO was not broken and should not have been "fixed" by double dipping on fees from both the homeowners and home renters.

Lovely and Comfortable Property

We loved our stay at the Breeze Away! We had 7 adults, 1 teenager, and 2 small children running around, and it felt like we had just the right amount of space for everyone. The home is beautifully decorated, beds were comfy, and everything was very clean. The location was also great for our group---close to lots of great restaurants and only about a 15 minute drive to Moody Gardens & Schlitterbahn. We have already recommended this home to friends and would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful, Comfortable, Relaxing Home!

Totally enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home! We had a total of 5 adults and 3 children who stayed for our pre-cruise vacation. The décor is very soothing and offered much needed relaxation. The owners have put a lot of detail and finishing touches to the home which instantly put you at ease. Detailed instructions were readily available and easy to follow. Had only one question, which the owner responded to very quickly. Would definitely love to stay here again! V

This wonderful home is located just a couple of blocks from the Seawall/beach. Galveston Island has over 32 miles of beaches, and some of the best are within the boundaries of the City’s urban core. It is the ONLY place in America where an historical Southern city sits right on the beach. This means that Galveston is NOT a typical beach town, but a small 19th-Century city, upgraded with today's conveniences, and integrated with modern structures. This creates a totally unique cityscape, which is made up of hundreds of historic homes, a vibrant historic downtown area, an active port and set on the eastern end of The Island is one of the busiest ship channels in the world. There are many restaurants and bars near the home, especially along the Seawall. Parking on the Seawall is $8 a day and since you register your license plate you can move anywhere along the Seawall during the day and not pay more. Parking downtown in the historic Strand District is per hour. You pick a parking spot, take the number off of the space off of the curb and enter that into one of the parking kiosks. Then you are ready to enjoy the Strand district. There you find the historic port of Galveston. With it's many shops, bars and restaurants to enjoy. And don't forget to see the historic Victorian mansions along Broadway. Bishop's Palace and Moody Mansion are open year round for guided and self-guided tours. Fantastic homes.
