Beautifully updated 3BR/2BA Townhouse. Deck overlooks mountains and 8th green of golf course. Two kayaks (2 single), paddles and life vests are available for your use. Two mountain bikes, fishing gear, and a set of nice golf clubs are also included, as well as a gas grill. Master Bath has newly remodeled walk-in tile shower. Walking distance to rec center, swimming pool, playground, tennis courts, and sports. Minutes from Holiday Island Marina. Conveniently located close to very nice grocery store (great beer selection!), hardware store and several restaurants. Downtown Eureka Springs is a short, but lovely drive (15 min/7 miles) from our townhouse. Stellar trout fishing on the White River (25 minutes from our door to fly in the water!). Pleasant walking within the community, as well as lots of wildlife (deer, foxes) and amazing views of the surrounding mountains and White River/Table Rock Lake. One hour drive to Branson, MO. Fifteen minute drive to Passion Play. We have several excellent Arkansas hiking books, authored by Tim Ernst, for your use while you stay at our welcoming accommodation. We have numerous games for your use during your stay.

About Joe & Kim Roche

We are a happily-married couple (29 yrs) with three boys (aged 26, 23, and 17), a daughter (gained from marriage!), 2 dogs, and 3 "grand-dogs." We love spending time in God's awesome Creation, playing games, investing time with family and friends. Originally from PA, we have lived all over the country. We have appreciated the opportunity to stay in HomeAway locations across the country and now desire to offer the same to others.

We fell in love with the natural beauty, as well as the warmth of the people of Eureka Springs, AR. Holiday Island is a quiet, relaxing location, just minutes from downtown Eureka Springs. The Holiday Island Marina is less than 1 mile from our house and there are several easy launching locations for our kayaks nearby. The White River/Table Rock Lake offers incredibly stunning views and refreshing time on crystal clear water.

What makes this house unique

Peace and quiet will surround you upon your arrival. You will probably pass deer in the nearby fields or back yard as you arrive. Kayaks, paddles, life vests, mountain bikes, fishing gear, and a set of golf clubs are all INCLUDED at our beautiful townhouse so you can enjoy God's Creation.

Wonderful place to stay.

My wife and three kids loved our time here. The unit was very clean, tastefully decorated, quiet, comfortable, and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The home looks and feels very new with many updates including a beautiful master bath, spacious kitchen, good-sized bedrooms, and a great living room. The kitchen has everything you need for preparing meals and the dishes, utensils, and appliances are all quality brands and in good condition. The beds and bedding are VERY comfortable and the area is extremely quiet and peaceful. We had a blast kayaking one afternoon and it was great to be such a short distance from where we could put in. Our kids biked around the golf course and island and my wife and I enjoyed several walks. One evening we saw a group of about 20 deer just across the street. We also used the grill a couple nights. We have stayed in a number of VRBOs and this was the most comfortable, best-appointed and furnished unit we have experienced. I honestly cannot think of anything that we thought was "missing" or that the owners didn't think of. And, again, the beds and bedding were extremely comfortable. If you don't sleep well, it's hard to enjoy your vacation. That wasn't a problem here. Thanks to the owners for providing a peaceful retreat!

The place was clean, quiet and roomy and a short distance from town.

We loved this place. It's was so quiet and peaceful. We saw 8 deer off the deck the first night we were there. The mountain view off the back is pretty. It's a short drive to Eureka Springs. We are glad we didn't stay there because I'm sure it would have been noisy with St. Patrick's Day partying. I wish we would have been able to take the kayaks out. I didn't realize they were so big and wouldn't easily be transported. The marina is just a short ways down the road, but too far to walk with heavy kayaks. We would definitely stay here again if we come to Eureka Springs again.

Awesome property with all the amenities of home!

We had a lovely girls weekend at the "Peaceful Retreat"! The property is very well maintained and includes everything you will need to enjoy your stay! We even took advantage of the kayaks!! I would recommend this property and would stay again!!

A short but pleasant stay.

We very much enjoyed our time staying in this cozy townhome on Holiday Island, Arkansas. It was nicely decorated and comfortable, very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed for the meals we chose to prepare for ourselves and more. We especially appreciated the reverse osmosis water filter-we enjoy our morning tea, as well as iced tea during the day. We loved being on the golf course view and had fun playing the course also. The executive course was more challenging than many similar! Sun Fest Groceries was convenient, we picked up several items there. We spent some time in Eureka Springs, which is very unique and charming. We enjoyed the trolley tours-very informative and fun. Our favorite restaurant by far was Local Flavors. We cannot say enough good things about the quality of the food, the ambiance, and the service. Our server, Dawn, was friendly, but not obtrusive, made many helpful suggestions, and held our left-over food in the cooler until we were ready to leave. Great experience (and they take reservations)! All in all, a very positive experience. It more than met our needs and would be a great spot for a family vacation also. The owners provided board games, a dvd player, bikes, kayaks, life jackets, and fishing equipment. The townhome had a second bedroom, full bath, and loft sleeping area upstairs, which would be ideal for children. We hope to return!

Very Relaxing!

We had to cancel a trip to Hawaii at the last minute because of twin hurricanes, Lester and Madeline! I left the airport after canceling and called Kim since it was such short notice to see if we could rent her town home. Within an hour she called me back and agreed to give us an extra day since we were celebrating our daughter's 16th birthday! So sweet!

We had such a wonderful time, the house was spotless, beautiful view, and quiet! We could walk to the pool, golf, and the lake. The neighborhood is gorgeous, the mountains in the background with the lovely lake. I walked every morning and evening and it was so peaceful.

The owners left their kayaks and golf clubs for our use and we thoroughly enjoyed both.

We plan on going back!

p.s. The Sweet and Savory in Eureka Springs had the best breakfast!!
