Our distinguished, lake front luxury home sits on 5 acres overlooking Mallets Bay in Lake Champlain, just north of Burlington Vermont. Take in spectacular sunset views via floor to ceiling windows in our two-story great room or while enjoying cocktails on our multilevel deck. Or relax around the intergrated fire pit and patios one level below.

Interior Features: Our home is a modern, open-plan style that has elegance and warmth. Modern kitchen with breakfast area, birch hardwood floors in dining room that flow into sunk-in, carpeted great room. The main floor also includes full bath, home office that converts into queen bedroom, mud room, and access to 3 stall garage. Upstairs, our master bedroom, with a king bed, has a private, walk-out deck overlooking the lake, and large, full bathroom with double sinks, double-headed shower and Jacuzzi. Second bedroom upstairs has a queen bed, while the third room is a home office with couch the converts to full bed. Laundry room is conveniently located upstairs. The ground level features a queen bedroom, full bath, kitchenette with bar size fridge, large carpeted recreation room with 4x8 billiard table, high-definition, cinema quality 84” projector TV, an arts and crafts room, and a cozy library. Quality custom cherry furniture and granite counters through out.

Exterior Features: Arrive onto a paved driveway with extra parking, via a quiet dirt road. Our home is surrounded by beautiful gardens with meandering stone paths and stone walls. It sits on a 5-acre wooded area that affords maximum privacy. Beautiful views from every angle via large picture windows. In the summer months, we have private lake access on the property via stairs that lead to a private, sturdy dock with deck chairs, ideal for swimming and sunbathing. Very close to bike path.

Surrounding Area: Downtown Burlington features a wide variety of entertainment and activities, with fabulous restaurants and shops only 25 minutes by car. 90 minutes from Montreal, Quebec. Full range of outdoor activities very accessible from our doorstep.

In the winter, we are accessible by car to different venues catering to outdoor sports: alpine skiing (e.g. Stowe Mountain Resort, Smugglers Notch Resort, Jay Peak Resort, Sugarbush Resort, etc.). Most ski resorts are 1 to 1.5 hours away. Cross country skiing and snowshoeing can be enjoyed from the area surrounding our property or a from one of several parks or dedicated locations within 15 minutes.

Enjoy beautiful walks on our quiet, peaceful, private wooded road or a curl up with a good book and hot drink in front of the main floor fireplace.

About Owner

We, Joe and Claudia, have lived in this area for most of our lives. Claudia grew up sailing on Lake Champlain, and moved back here after living abroad. Joe moved here from western New York State in the mid 90s.

Why Owner chose Lake Champlain Valley

The land here was an undiscovered gem. Joe learned about it, and he came out to climb trees to find the perfect spot for our home. We built our home with the help of Joe's best friend and best man at our wedding, John, who is an architect. Here you get the best of all worlds - a sense of peace and beauty, with views that still stop us in our tracks in awe - a feeling of being secluded while also knowing there are good neighbors and lots of amenities, especially Burlington, close by.

What makes this house unique

We LOVE our home and have taken care of it over the years, adding special touches and unique pieces from our travels. We chose to live and act with quality, integrity, and responsibility. Our home reflect this. We our enjoy taking care of our property so it appreciates with time. Claudia also feels that our home is founded on the special bond of friendship between Joe and John, one that began when they were 10 years old and is filled with deep trust and generosity.
