This is a six unit building. 4 units are on the ground floor including the unit you are viewing. It is a two bedroom 2 bath and has been completely renovated and beautifully furnished with all new furniture. The old kitchen and bathrooms were torn out and completely replaced. About Maggie Ebly

My husband and I purchased this building as an investment. We were the owners of multiple apartments and condo's in Chicago. We decided to retire here since we already owned a home in the Cape and sold our properties in Chicago where we had been landlords for over 30 years. Shortly after arriving, we joined social clubs, the German American Club, Moose, Elks, etc, and consequently have made many friends and have a busy social life. However, my husband, (Rudy) became restless and started buying up properties. The property you are viewing is, I hope, the last. We decided last year that we would try vacation rentals as this property seemed ideal for it, and we're very happy we did. We are solidly booked through April 2015.

Maggie Ebly purchased this condo in 2012

Why Maggie Ebly chose Florida South Central Gulf Coast

Though the property needed updating, it is such a beautiful little property and is ideally situated that we couldn't resist it. We have spent many months to bring every unit up to date, including landscaping, relining the pool, installing solar heating for the pool and many more upgrades. It is central to almost everything in the Cape, easy to find and very quiet and peaceful.

Good choice for a relaxing vacation in Cape Coral

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here with my husband and 5-year old son for 10 days over Christmas break and we had a great time. The apartment was clean and comfortable. We cooked several meals there and found the kitchen to be pretty well equipped. We used the washer and dryer, which really came in handy with all the beach towels we used. The place is nicely decorated and welcoming. The apartment is part of a building with 4 units and there is another building with 2 units on the other side of the pool area. It's a small, quiet and very relaxing complex. (Admittedly, others might not have found it to be very quiet since my son was usually kind of loud in the pool.) The pool is pretty small but there are lots of chairs and a few tables to hang out around the pool. We went swimming almost every day. There is not a fence around the pool, it's an open area, so we were careful to not have our child unattended in the pool area. We enjoyed having the screened porch/lanai to hang out and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine and remain bug free. Rudy, the manager, was around the grounds every day to answer any questions we had. The apartment is a short drive to the bridge to Fort Myers and was about a 20 minute drive to the beach. The complex is very close to downtown Cape Coral which looks like it had lots of cool restaurants and bars. There is a Publix supermarket very close by (maybe a mile away) and a Walmart about 2 miles away so it is very convenient to pick up anything you need. We chose this place based on price and its location and we were very happy with our choice!

Loved this place!

  • 4 of 5

We loved our stay here. Very roomy unit, well equipped, good location, & friendly owner's. We found the unit comfortable - we had four adults, and two bedroom, two bathroom's was very good. Loved the pool outside the door. Very quiet though, with mostly seniors staying. Would recommend this place.

An awesome place to call home on vacation!

  • 5 of 5

This is a large, very clean and inviting, 2 bedroom apartment in a quiet complex with the pool just outside our door is solar heated, the coolest the pool was, was 86°F. The enclosed porch overlooks the pool and is accessible from the living room or the master bedroom. The apartment had all the amenities one needs, laundry with dryer, dishwasher, dvd, wifi acces, cable and flatscreen tvs in the bedrooms as well as the large living room. It was spotless, had extra towels and sheets and looked like it had been designed for my family's comfort. Best place I've ever stayed, already rebooked my next trip to Cape Coral. For food, Merricks, rated the best seafood restaurant by tripadvisor.com is less than a mile and a half away. Truly, this apartment is a pleasurable place to call home for a week or two

Very enjoyable place to stay. Other tenants in complex extremely friendly and helpful! Close proximity to good restaurants and shopping. Pet friendly which is important to us. Our unit was beautifully decorated. Would recommend it to anyone staying in Cape Coral. Thank you Maggie and Rudy.

About a 20 min drive will take you to the quaint village of Matlacha, (pronounced Mat la shay) It is a very colorful little Island with plenty of tourist spots, e..g., restaurants, shops, etc. It is a barrier island. Continuing from there, you will come upon Little Pine Island which is a preserve for wildlife after which you will come to Greater Pine Island. To the left is St James and to the right is Bokeelia. All three islands are worth a visit.

Crossing the bridge to Fort Myers, an 8 minute drive, will take you in the direction of Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel and Captiva, the latter two being known for their shelling. Further south is Barefoot Beach in Bonita Springs, also known for it's shelling and turtle preserve, after which you might want to visit Naples and Marco Island in Collier County.

The Cape itself has many attractions and restaurants, including live theater, water park, yacht club and many parks and of course golf clubs and a plethora of restaurants to suit every taste. It has fine shopping, but for more variety you will find Bell Tower mall in Fort Myers and Miromar shopping mall in Estero with it's outlet stores offer a larger variety.

Further north, there is Punta Gorda, Charlotte Harbor, Venice Beach, Tampa and others too numerous to mention all within 40 min to 2 hour drive. Miami is a little over 2 hours drive going SW.

Key Largo is an hour or so south of there, but if you wish to visit Key West, I would suggest that you take one of the many ferries if you wish to avoid a long drive. If you should decide to visit Key Largo, do stop at the Coral castle in Homestead, SW of Miami. To learn more about it, look it up on the internet. It is a fascinating place to visit. One of the top tourists attractions closer by is the Edison Estate. The tour also includes a tour of Edison's next door neighbor Henry Ford.

There are so many place here in Paradise and are just too many to mention each and every one. Wild life abounds with feral boars, bears, panthers, alligators, snakes, lizards, armadillos and much more. For bird lovers we have eagles, hawks, pelicans etc. The flora is abundant and beautiful. For the adventuresome, there is always the Everglades.

I hope I have given you some idea of what to expect when you come down here, but if I've left anything out, please feel free to contact me and I'll do my best.
