Red Rock Views Galore! We are located in a wonderful quiet neighborhood one mile from uptown and 3/4 mile from Telaquepaque with spectacular views. The beautiful creek is just 1/4 mile away and hiking is just outside the door. Our home is not only beautiful but also comfortable to even the discriminating traveler. There is also another home on property which sleeps 7. Great for family gatherings. Check it out:
I have lived in Sedona 27 years. I opened up one of Sedona's first clothing stores, Darling It's You in 1990 and sold it in 1998 so that I could raise my 2 boys. I then got into staging homes and interior design and later getting my real estate license in 2008. I feel that I have created my perfect career by blending my skills. I now own and manage 4 vacation rentals for you to choose from. Let me be your Sedona Host!
Suzi Heath purchased this house in 2010
I built a home on this street in 1992 and would pass by this home daily wanting to fix it up. I was fortunate to buy it 17 years later. It has taken 4 years to develop the landscaping and finish the remodel but I am so pleased with the final results. I LOVE the views and have missed them every since I moved out of the neighborhood
Quiet neighbor with a great hiking path just minutes away
If you like wonderful views, peaceful surroundings & good standard of accommodation then Zen House is the perfect place for you to stay in Sedona. We considered many other options before deciding that none seemed to surpass Zen House - we were not disappointed.
You can never be sure if a place will live up to expectations when basing your judgement of it from photographs, reading the owners description & travellers reviews on the internet.
The house is light, airy, spacious & the large windows enable fantastic views whichever part of the house you are in. The back garden area has plenty of room to sit out & relax in, enjoying the ever changing colours on the mountains across the way. Also stargazing at night. Hummingbirds visit the garden & we saw some Mule Deer too.
The main food shopping area is a short drive away.
There are over a 100 different walking trails around Sedona, none are difficult to get to by car.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Sedona & the Zen House. We would definitely recommend this accommodation - we plan on coming back again next year.
This is our 2nd stay @ "The Zen House" We love it here. If you're looking for peaceful surroundings with fantastic views...this is the place. You'll have privacy in a quiet neighborhood. Suzi is great! She has thought of everything you might need during your stay.
Excellent! Best owner rental I've ever stayed.
The Zen house is open, light and bright. The pictures give you a good overview, but do not give full justice, especially to the view. You will fall in love with all the different shapes, sizes and shades of color through out the day.
Suzi has thought of everything you might need and more. Really thoughtful.
As for Suzi, a beautiful and kind host and now a friend. She is always available to answer all questions.
Sedona is a special place. At Suzi's Zen house, you get a special view. I visit Sedona often and the view here (180 degrees) is really spectacular. The house is cozy - it felt like home as soon as I walked in. What's really really nice is that you can gaze at red rock or watch the moon rise from the back patio or the bedroom (or the kitchen or the living room). You can fall asleep star gazing. The neighborhood is quiet (nice!) but conveniently close to Natural Grocers and Whole Foods in West Sedona (a very short drive compared to the drive from VOC, where I've stayed in the past when visiting the area). The house is probably most comfortable for an individual or couple, but a small family of 3 or 4, depending on space and privacy needs, could be comfortable here too. There are two beds. Discuss with Suzi if you have any concerns. The weather was *hot* during my stay but the AC unit kept it comfortably cool inside. Suzi was accurate in describing the place (from the photos at the HomeAway Web site to her answers to questions via email and telephone) and helpful from start to finish. Many thoughtful touches, such as detailed information about the house in a 3-ring binder. Suzi is a super host! I'd be pleased to stay here again or to recommend it to friends.
The open concept of the Zen House was perfect for our stay during the month of April. The kitchen is very well stocked, even including a crock pot (which we used several times while out hiking). When we arrived everything was clean and well maintained. Having the washer/dryer in the house was so convenient. We had excellent cell service and wi-fi for our laptop. We loved using the gas grill and taking in the beautiful views while eating meals out on the deck.
Suzi, the owner, is a kind and thoughtful person to deal with. She truly cares about her renters, and works hard to help with any concerns you may have. We've already booked another month next year and are so looking forward to returning to the Zen House and seeing Suzi and Sedona again.
We have stayed in the Zen house for Feb & March for the past two years. It's a wonderful spot. It's sunny and bright and a short walk to some of Sedona's best restaurants. There is a hiking trail a short stroll away that will take you to one of the famous vortexes (and provide amazing views) along with another trail that will take you down to Oak Creek. The house is best suited for a couple although there is a bed in the loft area. You have to like to get up early at the Zen house, the Eastern exposure is all windows so as soon as the sun crests the Mogollon rim it's as bright as day. That said it's wonderful to have your morning coffee on the deck and watch the rocks change colors. There is a resident hummingbird - he'll be waiting on his treetop perch for your arrival - be sure to fill his feeder!!! The owner Suzi is absolutely wonderful, she's quick to respond and one of the top reasons we like going there each year. Can't wait to come back!!!!
Jeep tours, HIKING (right up the street) hot air ballooning. Airplane or helicopter rides above the Red Rocks are unforgettable. Oak Creek is great for fishing. There is the the historical train out of Clarkdale where you can witness wildlife or you can take the train or drive to the Grand Canyon Must visit Exposures Gallery and the Hilltop Shops next to it. This is hikers and mountain bikers heaven -- We provide hiking and informational guide books. Sedona has many great galleries- Exposures is a real treat. Many great restaurants as well, some within walking distance. There are also many spas. I highly recommend Sedona's New Day Spa in West Sedona.
