Beautiful place with gorgeous views
We loved our stay at Valentina's place. She welcomed us at our arrival and gave us several tips about the towns, where to buy groceries and others. The apartment has everything you need and more. It is very ample and is in perfect conditions, exactly as shown in the pictures. Very close to the center of Bellagio (5 minutes driving or about 25 minutes walking). Highly recommended for a couple. Thanks Valentina for all your attentions.
Heaven on Earth FANTASTIC
This was by far the nicest 3 day stay we have ever had. We've almost completed our 3 week tour of Europe and our 3 nights stay at The Antico Uliveto apartment goes down as our 10 out of 10. We can't fault it in the slightest and already have very fond memories of our stay. The views, the hospitality, friendliness of everyone, the home baked cookies, fresh fruit on arrival , local pub, bakery, supermarket and restaurants with amazing views all added to our enjoyment. Bellagio is a beautiful town within walking distance and from there we took, the hop on hop off ferry to 2 other beautiful towns . Including Veranno where a wedding was taking place in the local church wow!!!!!! We would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to enjoy the Italian lakes and are surprised there are no more reviews on this site as the guest book was full of glowing praise for this lovely family who go all out to make your stay the best experience. Thank you very much to all the family and we wish you all the best. Hopefully next time we come back to visit it will be for a much longer stay and it will be soon .
My husband and I had an amazing stay at "Antico Uliveto" . Valentina, Daniele and family were all very kind and more than helpful and accommodating. The apartment was clean, spacious and perfect for a short or long stay. The gardens are beautiful and the outdoor seating has the exact view you see from the photos only better in person. Bellisimo! There is a pub, bakery, small grocery store and a few restaurants within easy walking distance. We hope to return this fall and spend another few days at this wonderful and welcoming home away from.
We thought we were taking a chance on this property, since there were not any reviews yet. We are so happy that we did. This apartment was perfect for us. We drove to Lake Como directly from the airport (Malpensa) after 24+ hours "on the road" & knew immediately that we would be happy here.
The furnishings, views, etc. are exactly as portrayed in the pictures. The Angelli Family is rightfully proud of this little escape they have created. Valentina directed us to an amazing restaurant (Ristorante Alle Darsene) away from the more expensive tourist spots in town. I regularly eat at some of the best restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area & Chef Matteo's food is second to none.
The following day we met Valentina's brother Daniele, who does all the gardening on the property. He's also an amateur wine maker & showed us the cellar his Grandfather dug out of the hillside; originally as a place to brew beer.
Did I mention that we are surrounded by Olive trees & that their Father makes wonderful local olive oil? It's nicely floral up front & finishes with a peppery kick.
Summing up. If you don't need to stay in a hotel and want a real taste of Lombardia with million dollar views, then Antico Uliveto is for you.
