We are happy to offer our vacation home for your vacation - The home has spacious kitchen / dining/ living room with fire place. We have a new comfortable leather couch and chair in living area with a large flat screen TV and beautiful mountain views.
Our home is easily accessible on road behind the grocery store with flat drive and garage which is very convenient in the snowy winter months!
In warm months.....there is a deck off the living room - wonderful on cool but sunny summer days! We have a "WORK ROOM for your Mountain Bike" with a bike holder and basic set of tools.
Angel Fire is a great place for family ski vacation - for those more adventurous, Taos Ski Valley is also within an 1.5 hour drive from our home.
Summer activities include: Hiking ( Trails are walking distance from this house) Mountain Biking, Fishing, White Water Rafting in near by Taos, Golf - and 18 hole championship course.
Upstairs master has king bed, guest room #1 has queen, and guest room #2 has two twins.
Downstairs offers a huge gathering area with TV and kitchen set up. Also downstairs are two bedrooms - a room with a queen bed and another 'bunk' room designed for kids.
We also have a fantastic 'Mud Room' which is accessible and great for storing all your winter and summer gear Ski's, Bikes, Fishing gear etc...
If your group is really big, we have another home (also listed on HomeAway) that is about 5 houses away that might be available at the same time.

Why Randy or Lynn Atchison chose Angel Fire
When we come to Angel Fire with family and friends we wanted a home that had a lot of room to spread out and was easily accessible and within walking distance to the grocery store and other shops - Also this house is just down the street from another vacation rental that we have owned for many years so it is convenient if our group is really large to have access to two properties!
What makes this House unique
The view from the back deck is beautiful with Wheeler peak set off just to the north,and the layout of the home is great. The large driveway and garage (by Angel Fire standards) and the location on Valle Grande made us realize what a wonderful house this was - you can bring your mountain bikes inside - we have large mud room and work area downstairs.

The house is idyllic, set in the valley with lovely views of the mountains. It has a cozy lodge feel, is well maintained, and offers high end appliances and furnishings. Lots of amenities such as a pool table, two bars, washer and dryer, etc. The hideaway loft is a fun place for kids! With two living areas and five + bedrooms, it's ideal for large gatherings. Perfect for hiking, fishing, skiing, and watching the sunrise/sunset from the large deck.

Comfortable and roomy but house needs attention.
We enjoyed our stay here with our kids and grand kids. The sleeping arrangement worked out well. Great location. However, we were not pleased as this house needs some TLC i.e. two of the shower hot water facets were very difficult to turn on and regulate, the rug in the living area is really dirty/needs replacement, the back deck awning does not work, windows were dirty, garage needs desperate cleaning, kitchen cookware and utensils needs improvement, master bath shower needs remake as mold is evident around bottom edges. We would not rent this house again unless above improvements were made.
Thanks so much for the review, I will be headed up later in Aug. and will make a list of items based on your review.. I do know the porch awning was functioning last summer.. it is a bit tricky to operate .. we had to look online to figure it out as we did not install it.. Previous owners had that put in about 10 years ago.. I will have our property manager call a plumber to check the shower faucets and molded areas. We do not live near there and are only there a few times a year it is valuable to have input from renters as we do not put eyes on the property after every rental. As for the rug was it upstairs living area or downstairs....will let housekeeping know about rugs and kitchen utensils... we depend on them to keep us in the loop on such matters.
A great one week in Angel Fire
After a rocky start the week was enjoyed by all. The bedrooms were comfortable, the living area is a good size and room for all. The pool table was used by men and boys. The fishing on the Cimmaron was great and golf was good. Hiking was good for all. The house has many amenities. And the property manager was great. A good week for all.

This was a perfect place to stay for our family! The pool table was a hit. Even tho there was not much snow at the time that we went, we had alot of fun playing pool and playing in the little bit of snow that was right around the house. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans and utensils. Randy was very helpful prior to our arriving answering any questions that we had. The only thing that we were not prepared for was that there was no toilet paper when we arrived. Thankfully we arrived earlier than expected and found the Dollar General open so that we could purchase some. We were able to resolve this issue, and would have taken some if we would have known that we needed to. Other than that small detail, the house was awesome!!!! We would LOVE to stay here again when coming back to Angel Fire.
Very nice place to stay with the whole family
We took the whole family to Angel Fire for some skiing in late February, 2017. There were 13 of us total ranging in ages from 1 to almost 70. This house had plenty of room for all to have their own space, and not be on top of each other. The local property manager was very responsive to our requests and took care of them well. The snow was a little light this year, but the weather was great and since we had 6 beginners in the group, it was good for us. I would recommend this house, and would stay there again if we go back to Angel Fire. The only complaint would be that since you have to haul your own trash to the city collection point, and it had recently been moved, it should be better identified for out of town folks. somewhat challenging to find in the dark the last night of the trip. Otherwise everything was great.
Angel Fire Resort is a family friendly area in northern New Mexico. If you fly into Albuqueque - you will need to drive to Angel Fire or catch the shuttle. The shuttle service is a friendly, casual, family owned business so reserve and double check if you are running early or late... there are NOT many opportunities to catch the shuttle and weather can interfere also. Our are in the center of the village close to everything!
