There’s no better place to experience Colorado than this spectacular Boulder vacation rental home. Nestled in the foothills at an elevation of 7,000 feet, this stunning home borders Roosevelt National Forest and serves as a peaceful escape for your upcoming getaway.
In 1971, Barrett House was designed by celebrated Colorado architect Charles Haertling for noted artist Clotilde Barrett. Since then, the house has maintained its architectural significance with recent earth-friendly renovations, including cork flooring and soft rugs made with recycled plastic bottles. While the property has been updated with modern luxuries, the beautiful 3,000 square foot interior was decorated to celebrate the eclectic mid century decor that Mrs. Barrett would have chosen herself in the 1970’s. Soaring ceilings and numerous skylights let in plenty of natural light from all angles and make the Barrett House feel like a massively open tree house.
Offering 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and enough space to comfortably accommodate 6 guests, this residence is a fantastic size and layout for families or a group of friends traveling together. Everything you need to feel at home is here, including wireless internet access, in-unit laundry machines, a desktop computer, and color printer for your convenience. This home is perfect for guests who desire plenty of room to spread out and relax in privacy, as the home features a loft and office throughout 3 spacious levels.
After an exciting day exploring Boulder, look forward to unwinding in the theatre room, where a Bose powered sound system and massive 80-inch high definition screen create the ultimate movie experience. Later, prepare a delicious home-cooked meal in in the large eat-in kitchen. A Mad Men inspired bar and lavish dining room with ceramic art installation provide amazing spaces to entertain your company. As you're winding down, take a soak in the private hot tub as you bask in the stunning scenery surrounding you. On those cold and snowy nights, cozy up by the cast iron fireplace as you soak in the stunning mountain views. The balcony extending off the living room is the ideal spot to spend warmer evenings, admiring striking sunsets and the twinkling lights of downtown Boulder - few night skies are more brilliant and vivid than those seen from the Barrett House. When you’re finally ready to call it a night, retire to one of the plush bedrooms to rest up for the next day. The master bedroom will serve as your ultimate retreat, boasting breathtaking views of the Continental Divide, a reading loft, and a spa-like ensuite with a petrified wood sink, spa jet shower, and electric heated flooring.
From this incredible house, the best that Boulder has to offer will be right at your fingertips! The naturally landscaped grounds and outstanding rock outcroppings at the Barrett House, provide prime opportunities for mountain biking, hiking, and snowshoeing. Additionally, the 800,000 acre Roosevelt National Forest borders the property, so you’ll have no trouble finding outdoor adventures. A scenic 15 minute drive down Lee Hill Road will lead you past the enchanting Boulder Canyon to shops and restaurants within North Boulder. The heart of Boulder isn’t much further, and offers gorgeous parks, famous attractions, hospitals, and the University of Colorado. Spend the day at the historic Pearl Street, where you can meander through eclectic boutiques and dine at award winning restaurants. Regardless of how you choose to spend your time here, this magnificent Boulder vacation rental home is truly a unique and complete mountain getaway!

Great property and views. Interior of the house is nice, but very "open" on the main level so sound travels. Also the layout is a bit odd, but you're not buying the place. Downside is that it's a haul down a winding road into North Boulder, 15 mins for anything. There isn't much at all near the house (hikes, etc) so you need to drive to get anywhere. But that does provide peace and privacy.
My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary the second week of September. The house is beautifully appointed and set in the woods not too far from town.
We loved the architectural design and unique 70's decor. The hot tub was an excellent way to relax at the end of the night as was the theatre room.
This house is perfectly situated for a day trip to Estes Park and the Rocky Mountain National Park!
true to its description, a throwback to the 1970's between the orange shag carpet and matching decor. We especially enjoyed the outdoor setting with the hammock and 360 degree views of the mountains.
the hummingbird activity was a real treat while sitting on the porch.
Great vacation home! We traveled with two families. Beautiful views from every direction. Lots of wildlife to enjoy.
Hummingbirds daily. Short drive to Boulder and Pearl Street. Cindy and Keith were wonderful to work with as was Evolve. Thank you for a relaxing and memorable vacation!
Very nice property up in the mountains. The hummingbirds were amazing to watch. One of our favorite things to do, sit out on the deck & watch them. The hot tub and hammock were wonderful in the mornings. It got hot in the afternoons, but by night the house would cool off. (unusually warm weather) Wish we had longer to stay & enjoy the property more!!! Amazing views!!
