Two big issues with this apartment. 1. Don't let the pictures of the main bathroom fool you. This bathroom was so tiny. I don't know how a normal size person (I'm just 5' tall and of average weight) could use the shower comfortably. It was so small I just had to measured it using the 4" long tiles. I was so curious. It measured 22" wide by 16" deep. It was by far the smallest shower I have ever used. 2. The bedroom off the living room is closed off by two huge and heavy pocket doors that do not touch flush when met in the middle because they are not on the track. They are also very heavy and bulky to close and make a ton of noise when pulling them closed. And so the couple that draws the short straw has no privacy....anyone can see into the room from the living room. This is not a second bedroom if you want real privacy. This bedroom also uses the tiny bathroom I just mentioned above and therefore when one needs to use it in the middle of the night these heavy pocket doors are just difficult to pull open and it makes a bunch of noise as they are being pulled shut. Everything else was nice but we would not stay again because of these two issues.
Great location! The apartment is as styled and as clean as pictured! Parked our cars on Friday and didn't move them until Sunday when we left.
Right around the corner from The Metcer House. Great shops in the neighborhood.
Suggestion to future visitors: Take bottled water and extra towels.
Will definitely stay here again!
We came to Savannah for the long Memorial Day weekend with our "kids" -- my daughter, husband and their five month old baby and my adult son. We had trouble finding something affordable for all of us so this property fit our price and our desire to have a location in the historic district. We walked most everywhere, finding great places to eat, museums and just enjoying the beautiful squares and houses of Savannah. The Madison apartment is well appointed, spotless and comfortable with all the amenities you would need whether you cook or eat out (we did both). All of the Luxury Living properties look wonderful as well. Thanks!
My Wife and I visited for a long weekend with her two brothers and their wives. We were initially concerned with the amount of room we would have being that one room has two queen beds, however this was a non-issue. Property was in great condition. Property was very clean. Back porch was awesome. Beds were surprisingly comfortable. The pictures were very indicative of the actual condition and set-up of the property. The location was a very central location to everything in the historic district. Only small negative is parking is not included. Details of how to park and where to park were included in information package. Great stay in a great city!
Very simple and stress free to book and the few times I had questions they were answered promptly and pleasantly.
The suite had plenty of room to stretch out and perfect for sleeping our two adult girls (19, 22).
The suite had the necessary cooking utensils although we only ate in once which was a breakfast meal.
We love the concept of parking our car and walking while on vacation and the suite was in walking distance of the downtown and riverside areas.
Very nice, would recommend!
First the good things: this property is in a great location and the beds are very comfortable. The terrace is very nice and everything works as it should. It was very clean, and well kept. Now the not so good: Only the very basics are supplied. We had one package of coffee for the first morning, but there was no sugar or creamer. The only condiment there was salt and pepper. There was a good supply of toilet paper, but only one bath towel and hand towel per person. The air conditioning and the heat are set at 72 and cannot be moved, so if you like it warmer or cooler, there is no possibility of changing it. As others have said, it is next door to Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House. The line does not start until about 10 a.m. but the workers come much earlier and the noise level can be quite high. If you are a light sleeper this will definitely wake you up. Second, the second bedroom with the two double beds is not at all private with only a sliding door between it and the couch in the living room, which does not close completely. Finally, the living area is very tiny. We hit the couch with the entrance door, which cannot open fully because of this. As said before, the couch is also right next to the doors to the second bedroom and there is very little space to move around the living area. If these things do not bother you, then this is a good property for staying in Savannah.
