Seroe Colorado is a community located on the most south eastern point of Aruba, the location for one of Aruba’s most popular beaches--Baby Beach. Seroe Colorado is a sleeping beauty when it comes to beach front real estate on Aruba. The houses are built on coral hilltops, like this property, with a view overlooking the Caribbean Sea. These jewels are being brought back to the former glory.
We adored our stay at Baby Beach villa. The owners have thought of everything. The outdoor living area is lovely, with sofas, dining tables, bistro style chairs and tables, bbq and loungers. There are lights, a fan over the comfy chair area and speakers so you can link your music via the wifi to the villas sound system and play it through the speakers on the terrace. The two eleven year old girls gave up showering inside totally and just used the outside shower under the mango tree!
Inside the bedrooms have excellent, and much needed when you come for England, air conditioning, beds are very comfortable. The two double rooms are lovely size, the third is more of a children's room with no draws / wardrobe etc. We didn't really use the living room which has a huge picture window, comfy chairs etc. The TV is huge and has Netflix. We didn't even switch it on once as I can watch TV in England. Wifi is brilliant to the point where one of the girls was talking via FaceTime, another was watching you tube and I was streaming music and googling photos of the area all at the same time!
Kitchen well equipped. The laundry area was just brilliant. I know this is sad but as a busy working mum to take home a case full of clean clothes was heavenly! There are huge Belfast sinks so I could wash out snorkels, masks and beach shoes and leave to dry and swim wear, towels etc where so easily dried. The villa has beach chairs, towels, snorkels, beach toys and floats, and two bikes. They really have tried to think of everything. Martha was lovely and looked after us fabulously. The mobile phone is so handy for ringing restaurants etc.
the villa has beautiful views of the sea so you can sit and watch the sun sets. It is extremely close to Rogers beach and baby beach so you can go snorkelling at 7 in the morning and be home for breakfast.
You do have to want to be off the beaten track to love this place. If you like eagle beach and dream of visiting Gucci in orangestad every day this venue probably isn't for you. This villa is gorgeous but the area has seen better days -some of the properties near by being unoccupied and the oil refinery is at the end of Rogers beach in all its industrial glory. What I will emphasis is how much we adored being off the beaten track. Using Rogers beach is almost like having a private beach and baby beach has excellent snorkelling and still is ridiculously quiet when you look at how crowded palm beach is.
We loved it ... Thank you
Baby Beach House in Seroe Colorado, on the southeast tip of the island of Aruba, was our intimate honeymoon home away from home for one week. Of course, the groom carried the bride over the threshold of the Baby Beach House! What a spectacular view!!!! Overlooking the blue Caribbean Sea!!!
Our hostess, Martha, had the house decorated and in tip top shape for us!. The house is fully equipped with all amenities you can think of. The large private relaxing outdoor patio became our paradise. We were anticipating filming us with the Caribbean Sea, and the dessert-like fauna and flora, over lunch when an iguana jumped unto the terrace! i jumped and screamed! How silly! iguanas are the sweetest lizards and very funny to watch. Early mornings we walked to Baby Beach and had one of our daily swims! Fantastic! Same ritual later in the afternoon! What a bore right! We liked to explore on foot the safe neighborhood and got very interested in the different colony houses. And further down the coastline we searched for the little owls living among the rocks.
The love of a man goes through his stomach! So I (we) recommend nearby. Rum Reef Cafe with some jazzy background music and great sandwiches. We also made it to. San Nicholas to O'Niel for a superb Caribbean dinner. And for something completely different check out Zeerovers for their garlic shrimps!
We will come back for sure to celebrate again!
Good evening, Gosia!!
We really enjoyed our time in Aruba and we loved our stay in your home. We had read about how different the island was depending on where you were. At first the starkness of the more desert-like end was still surprising but by the end we loved our journey winding through the vacant part of Seroe Colorado, ending up in our quiet little community. The other end of the island was more tropical but also more congested. The house, literally, had every single thing someone would need for a week’s stay... Comfy beds and great water pressure included. ;) Baby Beach and Rogers Beach are literally within a short walk or drive around the corner. Our favorite restaurant on our end was Flying Fishbone. The service was great, the setting incredible and the food was delicious. Martha, our island contact during our stay, was a treasure and she was so very helpful. This was our first time outside the US, excluding cruises. Having her as a contact and knowing she was just a few streets over was very reassuring. She brought us breakfast treats… English muffins, jam and butter. It may have been the setting and eating them in Aruba, but we thought they were unusually delicious. The local cell phone you provided was very handy for reservation calls… and a distress call to our Jeep company when it broke down. 😉Being able to call the US on the house phone was great too. Also having the TV with national channels allowed us to keep up with current events at home during this election cycle, which was nice. I can’t really think of anything you could do to improve stays for your guests. We used the grill one night and ate outside. All the beach towels and beach equipment you provided was awesome. We literally had every beach item we needed. I was surprised you even provided laundry detergent for washing beach towels, clothes, etc. I’m convinced I need some clothes line to hang dry my laundry at home now. 😊The people on the island were all very friendly. I worried about the money conversion but every place we shopped provided the conversion amount for you. We were never once approached or made to feel pressured to buy items from street vendors, etc like on past visits to Caribbean islands. They had every type of international cuisine on the island and some home town favs like Wendy's/Subway for when you wanted something familiar. Island driving was easy! We loved our Baby Beach Home!!
The Powers Family
Cabot, Arkansas, USA
My husband, kids, and sister stayed at Baby Beach House over the holidays and had a wonderful time. The house, grounds, and view of the beach are beautiful. It is a perfect property for a family with young children, since it is close to multiple beaches, has Netflix, and a third bedroom set up with two twin beds.
Martha, the property manager, was very helpful and welcoming - she walked us through everything when we arrived, called to see if we needed anything a few days into our stay, and dealt with a minor issue with the master bathroom light immediately.
Unlike some other rental properties, Baby Beach House is set up so that you can settle in quickly and start enjoying it right away. All you need to purchase are groceries, which can be brought from several different supermarkets a short drive away in San Nicolas. The owners and property manager really have thought of everything to make the stay relaxing - there is Netflix, Internet, a landline with free calls to the US and Canada, and a cell phone for local use. The kitchen has all of the gadgets you could possibly need and there are nice touches like paper towel, dish detergent and sponges, saran wrap, laundry detergent, garbage bags, etc. There are also beach chairs and towels, paddle ball equipment, snorkeling equipment, a cooler, and two bikes.
The property boasts a sheltered, outdoor seating area, a beautiful eating area with a large table and chandelier, an outdoor shower (which the kids loved), and a hammock. There are outdoor speakers so you can enjoy music while eating or sitting outside.
The house is conveniently located within walking distance of two very family-friendly beaches (Rodgers and Baby Beach), although it is easier to drive there if you have a lot of beach stuff.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Baby Beach House and would highly recommend it!
Close your eyes and create the perfect accommodations for a beach vacation...and now open your eyes: here it is!
My wife and two sons were in heaven during the time we spent here. Most people know about the great Aruban weather but in this house you have the opportunity to take FULL advantage of the continuous breezes, hot sun, cool shadows, outstanding beaches (especially Baby Beach and Rodgers Beach within walking distance), scrumptious international cuisine, warm neighbors, sparkling sunsets, and endless views of the horizon.
The three bedrooms were roomy with large windows perfectly positioned to take advantage of the breezes, the kitchen was just the right size, and you quadruple the square footage because of the outside space. We always ate our meals outside, grilled on the BBQ, showered outside under the coconut tree, napped in the hammock, read and chatted on the colorful lounge chairs, and never took our eyes off the Caribbean Sea.
Martha welcomed and said goodbye to us and and in between she was an extraordinaryly gracious host who made us feel at home immediately. And who can forget Steve! Full of stories and provided that extra hand if you needed some extra help with anything -- he even let us borrow his baseball bat! Martha and Steve appeared at the house immediately after we called.
Wonderful extras: two bicycles, four beach chairs, snorkling equipment, washer, and clothes lines(!) for environmentally friendly drying, floaties, a cooler, beach towels, roll ups for the beach, free calls to the United States, free local calls, and a stereo system with outside speakers for our listening pleasure.
The only drawback? Vacations don't last forever...but we already promised ourselves that we will be back!
We loved our week in this lovely home! Martha's warm welcome tour and general availability (she lives close by) were terrific! The house is everything advertised , quite clean, secure, and so much more. The owners have given it loads of tender loving care. We found it easy to go off exploring the cunucu, look for nearby restaurants (Rincon Criollo, Zeerovers, Flying Fishbone, and more), and shop for food.
We appreciated all the small touches that add up to major comfort, convenience, security and ease: beach towels, extra snorkel sets, bikes to ride, cooler, washing machine & clothesline, shampoo and body wash in each bathroom, super-comfortable king beds, all-cotton linens, quiet a/c units and many nice touches. The combo-lock entries were great since the 5 of us didn't have to share (or misplace) any keys.
The views are awesome! Rodgers Beach and Baby Beach are so close. We loved hitting the beach early with our snorkeling gear. We hung out on the breezy patio, enjoying the birds and watching dawns, sunsets and that gorgeous turquoise sea. The kitchen is full of extra spices, great dishware and cookware - everything you will possibly need. The house's decor is truly lovely.
We liked this place so much we hope to bring our extended family and stay again next year!
